Beautiful and charming stay :)

It’s right in the center of the old city. Very beautiful historic area. It was so nice and charming.

There place great I don’t have anything to argue about, although maybe a sauna would have been nice.

What an absolute gem this little family run hotel is. Owners friendly and helpful. Great location.

We were so grateful for the excellent service and truly enjoyed every aspect of our visit.

The venue is perfect in regard to access to all the wonderful sights and restaurants/cafes within the walls. The staff are exceptional and will be only too willing to assist with any of your needs. We forgot to arrange our checkout for an early morning departure and lovely Phillipe, the owner, looked after us regardless, even organising a taxi at a moment's notice to take us to the train station. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast on our first morning and appreciated not having to go searching for a decent venue. We enjoyed a delicious omelette and all the "treats" of the buffet. Our room was perfect and the bed was so comfortable. I cannot believe how lucky we were to discover this hidden gem!

Great family run hotel.

The location of the hotel was excellent as were the staff who made us very welcome. We had a nice sized room with bath and shower. The hotel was close to great restaurants, cafe's, historic town wall and great beaches. We will definitely be back.

Lovely relaxing enjoyable stay, would definitely book again

Excellent proximity to restaurants and shops, lovely and clean, proprietors absolutely lovely, couldn’t do enough to help

There was nothing we didn’t like although we had booked a small double room which, although lovely and comfortable, was a bit small. It was so warm and we only had a little window, although we did have a fan which helped. Next time we would book a bigger room, preferably with more windows.

A good place to stay

The staff was friendly, we got the room before the planned hour which was convenient, the room was clean. The location is perfect, it's intra muros to Saint Malo The room was fine overall, the bed was alright too, multiple pillows available.

Only sweets for breakfast, the only fruit options was a fruit salad The bathroom was practical but rather small so it wasn't always easy to move in it, might be a pain if you're older or on the chubbier side

Convenient, welcoming, clean and comfortable

We had a clean and quiet room with good basic facilities. The proprietors were very pleasant, friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location in St Malo, perfect for our arrival and departure by ferry and right in the heart of the Intra Muros area.

Wonderful stay at this fabulous hotel!

The property was in a central location, but was still quiet and peaceful. The bed was extremely comfortable and the facilities were great - I particularly loved the shower gel! Patricia was friendly, welcoming and helpful. I loved my stay at Hotel des Abers, and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!

Great stay, would return

Location inside medieval walls, access to ramparts were great. St Malo catered well to tourists. Restaurants and shops abound. Proprietor spoke English and communicated well.

Breakfast option had high sugar and carbs. If one likes full fat full sugar yogurt and cookies for breakfast.. Fresh fruit bowl had less than 1/4 cup to feed 8+ people. Cold cuts had 2 deli slices of ham left on plate. Again to feed 8 people in the room. Room was clean and adequate with private bathroom. It was small and awkward attic space.

The property was well-located, just off the main throughfare into the old town. The room itself is wonderful and very comfortable. The bathroom has an “older” feeling. The staaf were very welcoming and I had a wonderful stay.

It's a really lovely hotel, the staff is very friendly and caring and the breakfast offers a broad variety of food. The hotel is located near to two beaches and is in a quiet street which is a good thing regarding the lively atmosphere inside the walls :)

We loved the breakfast. The staff was very helpful in helping us with reading the map and walking or driving to other places to visit. The evening staff was especially helpful.

Weekend at Sant Malo

It is perfectly located close to the entrance of the old town. The lady in the front desk is really helpfull and very nice. The room is not too large, but good enough.

The building is rather old, so expect a bit of noise due to the floors, pipes, etc. Not a real problem, but one should be aware of that.

Comfortable stay in the old city with Charming hosts.

Our Hosts (Patricia and Philippe) could not have been more welcoming and attentive and we would be delighted to stay here again if visiting St Malo. Rooms were very comfortable and although on the top floor, were easily accessed by lift. Location in the heart of the walled city was perfect and convenient for everything. The room had a well stocked (and reasonably priced) min-bar, as well as a small but entirely adequate en suite shower room. Bed was on the soft side, but we slept very well. Unfortunately we were not able to stay for breakfast, but the breakfast area looked welcoming and other guests were enjoying the offerings

It was a very hot day, and air conditioning would have been welcome - although entirely understandable that such installations would be difficult, and fans were available.

Lovely hotel in quiet location close to the shops and cafes

The manager was very helpful and stored our bikes for us overnight. He also let us drop our bags off early and put them in our room. The room was spacious and well decorated. The hotel is in a quiet location but also close to the main centre of the old town.
