Wonderfully located right in the old town just seconds from bars and restaurants, as well as the beaches.
Quality linen etc in the room made it super comfortable.
Vadim, our host was friendly and super welcoming. Breakfast was a simple continental but again great quality.
Check in wasn't until 5 which seems a bit late, but we were able to leave our bags mid morning so not too much of an issue. The same on leaving, check out was a touch early at 10.30, but our bags were safely stowed until we left for the ferry.

Our stay was just perfect from start to finish: the warm welcome, the beautiful room with a comfortable king bed and super clean bathroom with shower, the breakfast was excellent, the location inside a medieval city (!)) and the owner and staff were so helpful and hospitable. I rarely give a perfect 10 score, but this place deserves it!

Lovely building and warm/tasteful decoration
The room was clean, big and comfortable
Delicious home made breakfast
I had a very warm welcome on arrival and interesting conversations with the host throughout my stay.
I will definitely return and highly recommend this place.
« Merci pour le très bon séjour ! »
Nothing comes to mind but just for information, the staircase is a bit narrow and steep for maybe elderly people.

Location is excellent - just minutes walk from the old town walls, and an exit to the beach and lido. Perfect for the most amazing sunsets! Some nice restaurants and bars near this wall exit too. Great sea food.
The host is great fun, and helpful both before arrival and during.
Room was probably the smallest in venue, but very comfortable. Other rooms looked bigger and brighter.
Breakfast was taken at a shared table, and the local ingredients were explained by the breakfast chef.
It didn't bother us, but the venue has a quaint spiral staircase up to rooms. Good for small luggage packs.
Parking not easy near venue, but were advised by the host prior to arriving to park outside walls, and this is very doable. We were able to leave the car for our whole period of stay. Had a short wait to get into car park - wait probably depends upon time of day. A 10 min walk to venue.

Where do I begin.
It’s awesome to be able to write something good about a hotel.
This place truly is amazing, the property has a very interesting history and you must get Javier to tell you everything.

The room had lovely art and was thoughtful and lovely with nice art. The owner manager Xavier was so kind. Breakfasts had each morning a different Breton specialty. So thoughtful.
Walking up stairs. Xavier instead on carrying bags but I was just tired.

Xavier is a wonderful host who generously shares his love of his country, province, city, and lodgings with his guests. L'AccrocheCoeur, nicely decorated in an historic building, is conveniently located right in IntraMuros near shops, restaurants, cafes, ramparts, and St. Malo's dramatic beaches. Delicious continental breakfast of mostly organic local products. Our room wasn't huge but it was comfortable.
No lift! Which is quite common in accommodations in lovely old buildings like this.

A truly exceptional small boutique hotel, personally and warmly run by its owner. From the moment you step inside, you feel a sense of care and harmony; everything is impeccably arranged, simple yet tasteful, and thoughtfully equipped to ensure a comfortable stay. There is no excess or pretension; only what’s essential, done to perfection.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. White bedding, and an impeccable bathroom complete with an excellent hairdryer, an often, overlooked detail even in larger hotels.
Breakfast is another highlight: delicious, generous, that you might not need another meal for the rest of the day.
This little hotel perfectly mirrors its owner; discreet, elegant in its simplicity, and welcoming in every detail.
Nothing.

Pretty much everything from the story behind the property, it’s location, the furnishings and the delicious breakfasts. We had a great stay and Xavier is an excellent host.
The only tiny thing might be how small the toilet room is in the room we had but everything else was very comfortable.

The house is super charming and the breakfast excellent.
The only thing that could improve is the shower water that wasn’t hot enough for me (but i like it very hot!).

Very quirky, historic house, beautifully and sympathetically modernised. The host was brilliant, interesting and amusing.
It wasn’t a problem for us- the historic staircase would be difficult for someone with limited mobility.

This is a fabulous place—more B&B than hotel—hosted by a charming and complete enthusiast for the history and wonders of St Malo. If you stay elsewhere you will miss this beautifully renovated building from the 1600s, great location in intra muros, and super breakfast. Superb!
True, there is no elevator but the stairs are more than manageable and Xavier will help you with your bags. None of the guests while we were there seemed to have any difficulty.

We were truly delighted with our stay. The accommodation is nestled right in the heart of the old city, offering a genuine glimpse into its rich history. Despite the building's impressive age of 400 years, the room amenities are refreshingly modern. Please note, there isn't an elevator, so those staying on higher floors will need to navigate the historic stairs. This might be a consideration for those who find steep stairs challenging. However, for those who can, it's a truly unique experience. The owner was wonderfully attentive, preparing our breakfast to our preferences. While the breakfast was simple, it was delicious. Given the challenges of securing a taxi in St. Malo, we're especially grateful for the owner's assistance in arranging one for our departure.
Nothing.

The simple answer to this would be everything. Location is great, the facilities are everything that you need and the host is wonderful. We will definitely stay again. If you are looking for something different, cosy and friendly rather than a standard hotel this is where you need to stay.
There is nothing to dislike.

Very traditional, full of character, great location
We were on the 3rd floor, which meant climbing up 3 very steep flights of stairs which were mentioned in the hotel description

Xavier was, on balance, an excellent story teller, guide, host, and cook. Every part of my stay, from the room, to the restaurant recommendations, to his patience in speaking French with me proved to be second-to-none. I recommend L'AccrocheCœur to anyone who wants to visit Brittany, and France at large.
Every day breakfast was fantastic. Xavier provided us with fresh baguettes, with excellent jams made locally, along with locally made butter and locally produced fruit. I can't say enough about the quality of the food that he provided in the mornings.
The bed and breakfast was beautifully located within the city walls, and near exits through the city walls so one could go to the beautiful beach (since I lucked out with the weather), or go to the various restaurants and shops within the city walls.
