Good location and great breakfast.
I was also able to store my bag free of charge, on the day of check out, until I caught the ferry in the evening.
The room I had was very small and bathroom very compact, however for a short stay it met my needs.

Small family hôtel intra-muros right next to the city walls. Clean and pleasant and helpful staff.
No eggs for breakfast 😊

A really lovely traditional French hotel, in a perfect position inside the walls. Close to everything but not noisy.
Didn’t have breakfast but it looked tasty and the dining area is clean and welcoming.
Patrick could not have been more helpful, quick replies to messages, let us put our bikes in reception as we arrived late the first night, after he had gone, then showed us secure storage the next morning.
Let us leave luggage when we checked out, collected just before going back to ferry
Nothing but for some it’s worth knowing, as others have said, the rooms are small and the stairs are narrow and quite steep (in keeping with the building!)
The lift really is only the size of a small wardrobe but you can fit a suitcase!

The staff were fantastic. The location was first class and we had a lovely stay and a great breakfast.
The room was compact but actually quite adequate for our needs.

Loved the location of the property and the quaint original building.
The Tv didn’t work and the bathroom was quite small but otherwise it was comfortable.

We liked the hotel for its St Malo charm, tight and compact but with distinct naval flourishes. The breakfast was good and the location was brilliant. It was located within walking distance to Grand Bea and Little Bea,. Food was within walking distance and the hotel has a private paid parking spot. For a hotel in the intramuros, it was located in a quiet area thats nor heavily used.
Our room's toilet had a nasty urine smell (probably someone pee-ed on the pipes) so that needs to be addressed. The rest of the room was clean and cozy.

Very well kept hotel and perfect location.
Bathroom and shower cubicle could have been a little larger

It was quiet and looked like a family business rather than a large commercial enterprise.
Nothing

Location. Plus parking
A bit dated and shower was very small. If you were a large person you struggle. Lift was querky.

Excellent stay. This is a real independent hotel, with real traditional charm, just next to the beach. It was every fantasy you want for a San Malo sojourn.

Great location, nice staff, good breakfast
The house is rather old, there is an elevator but only for 1 person (first time I saw such a small elevator - actually for such a historic old building you have to be happy to have an elevator), the rooms are small, the bath is old as well with a tiny shower (almost impossible to move in the shower), the shower has black mold, we were there on a Friday night and our room was towards the inner part - with a bar close where the people made quite some noise long after midnight (difficult to sleep).

Friendly and very helpful
The bathroom door in room 401 squid really loudly which was a problem when visiting the bathroom in the night.

Perfect location for the beach and to walk around the walls, as well as getting to the ferry. Extremely friendly staff. We had bikes and there was storage available in a parking garage a 2 minute walk away which the owner kindly accompanied us to. Cosy rooms but great sea view, would definitely stay again. Thank you for also letting us speak French and not immediately switching to English!

Good location, especially for getting to the beach and exploring the old town.
Staff were friendly but not available when we rang with a problem with the room at 11pm.
Not clean: there were two small cockroaches on the bed! We had left the window open so there’s a possibility they got in that way?? Rang the proprietor to change room but service phone just went to answerphone.
Also got charged for having twin beds when this was an option at booking for no obvious extra charge.

Wonderful, central location. - close to town centre and ramparts.- Extremely accommodating staff. Housed our large bike in an undercover garage. Served a beautiful breakfast early, so we could be on our way. We were most impressed.
Room small but that is to be expected in such a quaint, old building

The hotel is well located and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is all freshly prepared and is one of the best we have had. Yes the rooms are a little small and the lift is one person only but the hotel offers super value for money especially with the available parking spaces so we will definitely return
basically nothing the hotel could have done anything about - the seagull noise at 6am !!

Excellent location. Lovely staff. Parking right next to the hotel.
Uncomfortable bed. Bad smell from shower drain.

They were so nice and welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was great, coffee delicious. Amazing use of space in the room with shelves and good set up of the room / bed organization for such a historical building.
It's a hotel room in a small Brittany town - don't expect the space to be big! But it was one of the best uses of that space and fantastic service so much better than we could have hoped!

I liked everything about this hotel. The people were very helpful and friendly and it had a lovely atmosphere. I liked my room. It wasn't big at all but had everything very thoughtfully arranged with the best use made of the space. It had a bathroom, electric points and light switches each side of the bed, a desk and stool, wardrobe and storage. I was on the 4th floor but there was a small lift which was speedy and sturdy.
The breakfasts were to die for, ie excellent, with good quality orange juice, coffee, bread, croissants, cheese, ham, salami, fresh fruit salad, yogurt more than you could possibly eat. A very attentive lady was in charge of breakfast and made sure everyone had what they wanted to their requirements.
There is an exceptional little restaurant just opposite the hotel and a creperie just above up on the city walls for traditional crepes and cider.
The hotel was right beside the city walls next to the Bon Secours Beach with easy access to the beach and walks along the walls with beautiful views and a seawater swimming pool down on the beach. There is plenty to see and do in Saint Malo with different beaches under the walls, old buildings, boat trips including to Dinard and shopping for local delicacies. I wish I could have stayed longer. Thank you to the hotel owner for confirming how I could get back to Paris on the train in spite of a local train strike. I had to get up very early but got home without difficulty.
I wish I could have stayed longer.
I liked everything but some people would find too many steps and stairs in Saint Malo for comfort and I imagine it might border on impossible for wheelchair users - but seek better information. Some might not find the hotel luxurious enough for their tastes or the lift big enough for their needs but the hotel had something unique to offer instead. The hotel advertises garages, but the streets in the old town as too narrow for buses. Busses all seem to stop at the other end of the old town near the Quai Saint Vincent. Taxis thankfully can get up to the hotel. The alternative could be a half hour walk to the SNCF station.

Within the walled area and fairly local to the ferry terminal
It’s advertised as having its own parking in a town that has major parking problems. Unfortunately it did not and the overnight parking proved to be difficult.

Nice location on the edge of the Intramuros, near the ramparts but still close to the main shopping areas. The room itself was comfortable and clean. Wifi worked well. We paid for parking (13 euro) which ended up being just next to the hotel, but I got the feeling that the main lot was elsewhere and we just got lucky that no one else was using the spot yet.
We arrived at 2:30pm (check in began at 2pm) to find no one at the front desk and waited 15 minutes for someone to show up.

Location was fine. Check in was smooth, gentleman on reception (possibly the owner)very pleasant. Fine location for an overnight stay in readiness for an early morning ferry or onward travel.
The room was a bit tired but very clean and the bed was comfortable. Shower curtain was a bit clingy, and would benefit from being updated to a folding screen. Layout of the hotel (proximity of one room to the next) meant that hearing noise from other guests was unavoidable and beyond the control of the proprietors.

Bed clean but didnt look as rest was basic
Cramped room tiny bed shower you would not fit through gap if over 80 kg

Lovely little place with great character. Excellent location and very helpful staff helping us with parking for our cars.
The pillows were quite firm for our taste but didn’t stop us having a good nights sleep.

Great location in a beautiful part of the walled town
Maybe the surprise how small the lift is.! But it was fine. And there are stairs. But as a cyclist riding long days. You always like to take the lift
