Unfortunately we were given a room on the ground floor and you could hear the people above moving around . It’s obvious the building is old but they seriously need to do some renovations to improve the sound. It’s very annoying.

A lovely hotel but sadly a disappointing experience.

A lovely hotel, close to shops and amenities - bed was very comfortable.

We paid $40 for an early check-in and once we got to our room we noticed the toilet was not clean. Housekeeping did come by fairly quickly to clean it again which was great, however it was still disappointing after paying $40. The walls are extremely thin, you will hear everything from both rooms next to you and above if you’re ground floor. It was very disturbing when trying to sleep. We did mention our feedback at checkout however the person at reception was very dismissive and didn’t seem bothered, an apology would’ve been the bare minimum.

The rooms are large and beds are comfortable. Free shuttle to restaurants & the campus was so helpful since we didn’t have a car.

They forgot to clean our room one day but not a big deal.

An amazing hotel at a competitive price.

The location is perfect: easy access to the entire Eugene area with a freeway ramp within 1/3 mile. The room is twice the size of a typical hotel room. The access to fresh air and a great view is appreciated. The staff provides amazingly kind, respectful, and prompt engagement. I previously used one of the four Marriott properties in Eugene/Springfield. However, those hotels are second-rate now that I've experienced the amazing Valley River Inn.

The hotel is perfect; therefore, there isn't anyting to note here.

5 star experience!

I had a lovely court view and patio off a spacious and well laid out room. Bed was comfortable, bathroom large and a small sitting area with a TV that had many entertainment options was a real plus. The inhouse restaurant, Sweet Waters, despite having mediocre food, provides exceptional service and an incredible view of river however

Wonderful Stay!

The evening staff was incredible, the room was spotless and smelled wonderful. The whole staff came together and was so helpful with info, helping us get to our room, suggestions for meals, etc. And they accept pets!

No lobby coffee— you have to pay for it. Kind of a bummer when we pay quite a lot for the stay. Morning staff was not very friendly. Sure shows how a shift change makes a different impression. The property can be great but if the people are not on pointe, the whole vibe gets thrown off. Overall, it was fine. We would just plan differently before our morning flights next time.

Nice and comfortable place to stay.

The room was spacious and very comfortable. We enjoyed having a balcony with a river view. The hotel restaurant was wonderful as well. This hotel had a fantastic variety of items for purchase in the lobby. Next time we are in Eugene we will plan on staying here a little longer.

The only issue were the elevators which were small and too far away for hauling luggage across the long hallways to get to your room. We felt there should have been more elevator locations throughout the hotel.

Inn was beautifully updated and clean. The adjoining restaurant was also wonderful!

The staff at the front desk were not terribly helpful. I couldn’t find a hairdryer in the room and they simply said oh well, maybe we don’t offer them. I did eventually find one!

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!!@

Our flight home was canceled last minute so we scrambled to find a room for the night. We were frustrated and just exhausted (after being up since 1am). The staff was incredible!!! Tiana was so kind and thoughtful, she gave us tokens to use in the restaurant so we could finally eat something (it's was 6pm at this point). You should be so proud of the kindness, professionalism, and just overall demeanor of all your staff.

Great hotel, a surprise last-minute booking that turned into a highlight of our trip.

Hotel clearly just underwent a big renovation. We liked how clean and modern the rooms were, and were impressed with our courtyard view (which normally is not impressive at most hotels, but here it is!). We also loved borrowing the bikes to ride around a near the river and around the rose garden the morning after our stay. We booked the room super last minute because we were on a road trip and needed a place to sleep for the night, and the hotel exceeded our expectations.

Room wasn’t ready at 3 which we thought was check in, main person at desk was thoughtful and attentive. Since we were staying 6 days would have been nice to have been accommodated earlier. Staff member Alex presumptive and rude” well, I can’t put you in a room with dirty sheets”when she misunderstood what I was trying to say. No appology, no attempt to make things right. The person who helped us was able to accommodate us and made sure room was acceptable. Room needs a luggage rack so fits two suitcases, more drawers instead of two big ones and a light next to sofa

Made the long baseball weekend more enjoyable!

We spent a lot of time at the pool! It was clean, always stocked with fresh towels, clean bathroom available and you could have food and drinks delivered to you! The rooms were comfortable and updated. And the location is close to a ton of shopping and food options!
