Perfectly located for a short visit to Eugene

I loved the Downtown Inn’s location, which is a short walk from the Amtrak station in Eugene, and very close to many downtown bars, coffee houses, and restaurants. The rooms are a nice size and the beds are comfortable. Staff are lovely and welcoming, and the rooms were clean, tidy, and very well maintained. I didn’t have a car on this trip, but parking facilities were excellent if you are driving.

The price was a little high, but this was primarily due to Oregon Ducks football playing at home over the weekend I was there. That said, looking at the regular price, it did feel a little high to me.

A Very Nice Little Motel in Eugene

This is an excellent little motel. From the outside, it appears to be much less than it is. The rooms are very clean, and the bed is very comfortable. The bathroom was fine as well. The location is good and it is amongst the most reasonably priced hotels/motels in Eugene.

Comfortable and reasonable.

Wonderful people run the motel. The room has all the basics at a reasonable price. It is clean and quiet. The refrigerator has a real freezer so you can freeze ice packs if you are traveling with a cooler, or you can store ice cream.

This is a solid motel. It was very quiet when I was there, the rooms are spacious and have everything you need in them. It's definitely a bit dated, but doesn't feel rundown. Pretty clean overall, just a few missed details like some cobwebs here and there. Location is pretty decent, nothing super close by but nothing too far away either. I didn't have a vehicle so I walked everywhere. I had a comfortable stay there.

It was a bit spendy for what you get, at least when I was in town. Part of that bump was because of the rivalry football match over the weekend. The wifi was pretty slow, but at least it was relatively stable. Just enough juice to stream something after it buffers for a bit. The hotel is a bit out of the downtown area, it's probably a 10-15 minute walk to most of the places you will want to go.

The refrigerator has a real freezer unlike many mini refrigerators. I could freeze the ice bottles for my cooler and have ice cream. The room has the essentials. Great cable. Comfortable bed. Clean. The room was quiet. The owners are personable and very responsive to guest needs.

Overall great experience

Clean rooms, plus the shower pressure was awesome! Loved that there was a wall heater in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable also. Missed not having a coffee carafe though. Needed to buy instant coffee at the store. Did walk down the block to Starbucks a couple of mornings, but would have really preferred for the hotel to provide coffee.

Good, clean value downtown Eugene!

Overall, this was a pretty excellent stay for the price. The room is really clean, the bathroom sparkles, water pressure is substantial. The TV has HGTV and that is a big thing for me. Nice clean microwave and fridge. Carpet seems clean also. The lady at the desk was ever so nice! The towels were very good size, hefty and thirsty. There is a heater in the bathroom as well as a fan, which is not always a given. The bedding was surprisingly comfy, no crinkly mattress covers. One of the blankets was a fleece kind which is normally too sweaty for me, but I did get a good, cool night's sleep. Everything is nearby, several restaurants to walk to, Costco is a short drive away. Quite happy with the stay!

There is no coffee machine, wish I had known that so I could bring a keurig or instant. I wasn't a fan of the provided toiletries, but I usually have my own along. The neighborhood is just a hair sketch looking but had no issues with security. There were two very spendy cars in the parking lot so it can't be too bad. Even though the Inn is on a busy stretch of road, it was quiet enough at night.

Very nice room, extremely clean, comfortable bed, convenient location - can walk to many restaurants. No coffee machine in room but there is a Starbucks a short walk from the hotel. All in all a comfortable place to stay in downtown Eugene.
