Close to shops, trams are outside the front door, there's a very small old fashioned lift to rooms

Large bedroom but it needs updating

The signage is not great, it was not easy to find the hotel. The recommended car park is not that near to the hotel and again, difficult to locate.

A good choice for convenience, comfort and value in a heritage building.

Very handy to the railway station and an easy walk to the centre of town. The retro aspects, especially the lift, didn’t compromise modern comforts. Quiet and comfortable rear side room, plus it had both a kettle and fridge.

Fab location and quiet rooms

Great location and excellent for our two families with teenagers. Rooms were quiet and clean. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good - all good!

Parking is a little more tricky but not that complex. There is ample parking 5 mins walk from the hotel on the main road. Parking has no height restrictions either for those with roof boxes. I have added a photo that shows where to park.

Great location and recent remodel but needs maintenance attention

Great location, good comfortable beds. Easy access to dining and train/buses. Many positives outweigh negatives.

Bathroom sink had a drain problem, mini fridge did not work, shower too small

Good location but disappointing overall

Comfortable bed.breakfadt was good.

Very dark, lift didn't work, had to carry cases down 3 floors although receptionist did carry them up when we arrived. Bar was closed.

Nicely renovated rooms and good location if you use public transport or don’t mold a pleasant 7 minute walk to Hotel De Ville pay hourly parking (10 euro for 24 hours)

The location is good

We were traveling with our baby. In advance I wrote the hotel that we needed a baby bed. When arriving there was solely an extra adult bed and our baby fell out the bed at night.

Relaxed night before roadtrip

The rooms are quite big and beds are comfortable.

Some rooms are very modern, others need to be renovated. The toilet in my bedroom was separate from the bathroom and really small. The door locked itself during the night, making it impossible for me to use the toilet at night, not something expected for a 4 star.

Quite good for a short stay

The location is very central, the two ladies at the reception very friendly and helpful. Very comfy bed and sheets. Small fridge in the room very handy. Dog friendly. Parking in the underground about 400m for free with a hotel ticket but had a bit of a problem upon exit (the ticket didnt work, needed help out there).

Its an old building so there was some mould in the corners of the walls in our room and the smell was not great. For one night with open windows in summer it was bearable.

The carpet had stains on it. The cover to the drain in the shower was loose. They lobby area was full of carts of towels or other things that needed to be put awy.

The bed was ok. The staff was kind, but understaffed.

Do not stay here. In advance we repeatedly asked for confirmation if a bed for our baby could be installed. The receptionist did not get this question meaning important communication does not reach the right people at the hotel. Also the rooms smell funky and it turns out the advertised Airconditioning I like to turn on slightly all seasons of the year to regulate humidity and provide fresh air rather then just cool the temperature is only turned on in summer. The indoor AC unit comes straight out of a time machine in 1965. Also the extra lock on the room door is installed the wrong way, more lack of attention to detail. And there were old coffee pads from previous users in the coffee machine.

Very nice stay with amazing friendly staff

The staff is great, specially the lady in the evenings, so energetic and smiley. She gave us chocolate Easter eggs that we enjoyed very much. The room and hall decor with the antique lift for a nostalgic touch, beds very comfy although rooms a bit small.

Hair dryer in the room had no power so it was tricky to dry the hair up. We asked for a high powered one in reception and they provided, so that was nice. They only put a single pair of towels in the bathroom although we were 2 people so we had to ask for extra towels.

The staff, especially at reception, were very welcoming.

There was an aggressive nauseating smell from the toilet and bathroom. The drainpipe of the washbasin wasn't connected well. There was also water leaks.

Everything was excellent except temperature. I don't recommend this hotel in winter.

The room was very clean and staff were kind and helpful. The breakfast was also good. The location was great. Everyday cleaning was great.

The room was incredibly cold. Although I asked them to increase the temperature they made excuse not to solve the temperature issue. It was clear that they had set up the air conditioner not to work and we didn't have any control on it. Both nights during our stay I called the reception and kindly explained the issue but they didn't do anything. The room was such a cold that I couldn't get out of bed because the only place in the room that was warm was under the quilt.

Good location and friendly staff BUT we left our luggage for few hours at the reception and they managed to loss it. Apparently, the staff gave our luggage to the wrong people, right now they are trying to contact those who wrongly picked up our stuff but so far no sign of it. I will update this comment once we found it but it is really a shame as the luggage contains medicine and precious stuff

I was stuck in the elevator because of electricity failure. They did not have any means to rescue me and I had to do it myself. It was very hard and almost impossible. Eventually I got out by using my own power. They were helpless.

Lovely hotel - will definitely return

Efficient staff, great location, very clean, excellent shower and really comfy. Loved the old-fashioned traditional French lift.
