Great location, Lovely staff and great breakfast.

Breakfast was excellent and staff very freindly.

The parking is a bit of an issue. There is none at the premises and Instow is very busy.

Cosy, clean, basic room with a lovely sea view, some issues. Excellent food and staff.

Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful; food was excellent, room was cosy and clean, and its position with a sea view was excellent, most basic needs were met. Lovely bar downstairs, was surprised it was so empty in the evening, maybe busier in the Summer.

The green light/fire alarm(?)should not be in the room, the light fitting was dated. Attention to detail counts; one more milk carton would have been nice as we couldn’t have tea in the morning in the room, and hot choc sachets would have been perfect. The window needs replacing as very rotten and the window being wedged with cardboard meant that the condensation was making the curtains mouldy. If better fitted/sealed, so as opening it could clear the condensation, and if the windows were opened and wiped each morning, would solve this. Curtains were also dated. The room had excellent potential for a higher charge if these points were addressed.

Christmas trip, visiting relatives, it was just what we needed.

Excellent breakfast

We're old, the steps were quite steep, but the staff carried our bags up. It was busy when we arrived (Christmas holidaymakers), so initially we couldn't park close, but we dropped off our bags. We parked the car a little distance and later moved it close.

The exterior of the pub needs to be updated, particularly given the competition from other pubs in the village. The rooms look tired and need decorating - repaint and new sealant around the shower. The light in the bedroom i was in (Instow) had an emergency light which had a green led light that was on all night and was very bright!! Suggest guests check the parking arrangements as they have appeared to have changed - i fortunately I was able to park on the street during my stay (which is free during non-summer months) otherwise you have to pay £12(?) per day in the carpark up the road).
