Good location, friendly and helpful landlord and staff, plus excellent breakfast!

Shame about the external scaffolding and building works, which had over-run. This meant the pub section was closed so we couldn’t eat it, which had been our intention. Felt sorry for Phil (landlord) but he was in the hands of the brewery.

Das Zimmer war groß und hell und farblich schön eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und die junge Dame hat keinen Wunsch offen gelassen. Die Lage ist wirklich großartig!

Bei der Begrüßung wurden wir einfach schnell abgefertigt. Wir fragten nach dem Wi-Fi Code und wurden einfach vor verschlossener Tür stehen gelassen. Auch als wir um Hilfe gebeten haben weil wir Probleme mit der Toilettenspülung hatten, wurden wir nur abgefertigt. Es ist alles etwas in die Jahre gekommen und nur sehr nachlässig renoviert. Das ist sehr schade.

Very friendly staff, incredibly comfortable bed. Acceptable breakfast

Covered in scaffolding on our visit. Access stairs very narrow and steep, no warning of this on advertising. Room in poor state of decoration, damp patches, flaking paint, badly finished skirtings etc. We were told at check in (Friday) that they’d probably stop serving food and drink about 8.30! Fortunately the surrounding pubs were all open until midnight and were good quality. Breakfast quite constricted both in time slots and offering. You get a fry up OR cereal! Expected better for the price.
