Jiva Bali - Green Dream Suites

This is a well-equipped, well-maintained bamboo house. You really feel like you’re sleeping in the jungle—a magical and memorable experience for a one- or two-night stay. The staff were very kind and responded quickly to all our requests during our stay, always with a smile.

Staying in a bamboo house in the jungle is something you need to be prepared for, with loud noises and visits from insects, especially at night. Once you know what to expect, the stay is magical. The mattress is very hard, and the sofa in the living room is too small to sit on comfortably. Cleaning wasn’t done every day, only when we specifically asked for the pool to be cleaned or the floors to be swept.

Stunning Villa overlooking rice terraces and mountains in the distance. Staff were superb and very accomodating - especially the manager (Wayan) and his son (Sandi) who was our driver for 3 days (Thoroughly recommend using him if you’re staying here) Bed was very comfortable, only wildlife we encountered were a few cute frogs, meals were top quality. Wish we could have stayed longer and we will be back.

Only tiny issue was the pool was quite cold. Could have done with a little heating to take the chill off. Steps up to bedroom quite steep if you have difficulties with that sort of thing. Didn’t bother us but worth noting.

Il soggiorno è stato a dir poco eccezionale e lo staff è stato davvero super! Tutti gentilissimi e super disponibili. Consiglio vivamente questo posto se siete amanti della natura e non vi danno fastidio insetti, rane e gechi. Considerando che si è in mezzo alla foresta è normale trovarsi qualche ranetta che passeggia nel soggiorno ☺️

The staff were excellent and the service we received was definitely the highlight of the stay. Wayan and his team were very attentive and helpful. They helped us with a laundry service and with our luggage to and from the villa. We were also very impressed with the food - very good nasi goreng. The villa is beautiful and the view of Mount Agung is stunning. We did have the odd little frog in the villa but this didn't bother us.

There is no A/C in the bedroom. Only a noisy fan which you can only feel if you leave the mosquito net open. Bed is hard. The bathroom is downstairs so quite impractical at using the toilet overnight and going up and down the steep stairs in the dark. Pool had a bit of mould on the tiles and other parts of the villa could use a bit more cleaning - I kept finding long black hairs on the floor. I think this villa could be great but needs some improvements to make it more practical and comfortable for guests to stay overnight. We chose to check out after 1 night even though we enjoyed the view and the service.
