A Peaceful Stay in the Heart of Nature

This is my second stay at this property. I truly admire the warm smiles of all the staff. Everyone welcomes you sincerely and does everything they can to make you feel comfortable. Staying surrounded by nature was absolutely wonderful. I would like to thank Devi, Ayu, Yuyun, Lia, Surya, Alit, and Nova individually for their kindness and care.

Highly recommend

The receptionist was very informative about the wild life animals, explained the facilities of the room very well, the communications over what's app were handled with efficiency and care. Scorpio has everything you need to experience the wonders of nature in this beautifully designed architecture property out in the wilderness in the true nature of Bali. If I could have stayed here longer, I would, but the room was booked, so I am glad I at least secured one magical night, and morning. The view from the room in the morning was spectacular, and the sounds of the animals at night were soothing. I am glad I had at gecko with me at night, they take care of the mosquito's for you.

Communication, and attentiveness in person could be improved. Thanks Veluvana for arranging a photo - drone shoot for me so last minute, especially on a religious ceremonial day, you made it happen! I look forward to coming again.

Romantic, luxurious, memorable and worth every penny.

Yuyun took care of all the details first wy wife’s surprise and made sure the room was ready before she led us there. Mas Surya was our personal waiter from start to end of our Romantic course dinner which even had a balinese dancer for entertainment. The cobra house was awesome, we had personal videographer with drone rake a photoshoot of us. We will forever cherish this memorable moment in Bali where we first fell in love.

Unforgettable experience

We had an unforgettable stay at Veluvana Bali. It has been one of the most magical stays experienced. The Cobra House itself is unbelievable — a bamboo masterpiece with panoramic views of the Sidemen valley and Mount Agung. But equally as unforgettable has been the staff and service. Ayu, Lia and Devi have gone above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect in every sense. We are already planning our return with the family as we want to experience Octopus, Manta and Scorpion Houses also :) Thank you to everyone from Veluvana Bali for making Adam's 60th an amazing experience, one we will never forget. See you again x

Everything was amazingly beautiful right from put swinging bed to the perfect view to the rooftop pool with a great experience of floating breakfast !! There is no better Word than just “WOW” to describe the overall stay feel we experienced during our stay .. the entire staff especially Mr surya ensured our stay was very very comfortable !!

Unforgettable

Wonderful property, we stayed at Scorpion. The place is stunning and the stuff was wonderful. It was my wife's birthday and they did work closely with me to make her day special. Thanks to all. We will try and come back at some point!

Not much to dislike but perhaps a couple of small things: 1. We went to the rice field walk, it was raining a lot and perhaps it should have been cancelled and 2. There are a couple of properties being build in front. I know there is nothing you can do on this but it does impact a little the privacy. I would put some natural barriers just targeting those properties.

Mind blowing

The location in remote away from city noice and in the middle of nature. The staff are super friendly and always happy to help in one case there were a few bees disturbing our stay and Suriya and his team of Ayu, Lia and Deviani immediately sprang into action to make sure the issue was fixed.

Some important price / quality ratio issues

+ very original architecture + most villas have a great view

- snail has no view and it’s quite opaque on booking.com // avoid it. I was lucky to be able to stay in manta for 1 night though, which was great - every service offered by the hotel is 2x / market price (trekking, scooter rental, mount batur excursion) - did them all by myself - food is below benchmark in the city and below what could be expected at that price - crew is very responsive which is good but not proactive on key things like taking back the plates and food from afternoon tea when they prepare the room ; I had to ask them to reprenante the mosquito net on top of the bed which was poorly attached with many holes ; at that level of price this should not happen

Uniqueness of the concept, privacy and tranquility that you get here is great! Staff are very attractive and polite and take care of all your needs during the stay as well very responsive on the WhatsApp group. Our snail villa was amazing and all the facilities are well maintained.

Overall it was a nice stay with good wifi!

The Scorpio House is and looks awesome, especially the pool and the moving bed which makes it very Instagram able! The staff is very friendly, responsive, kind and most of them know English! We even forgot something at the house and we figure it out 30 mins after leaving when we were on our way to the airport but they made sure we got it back. The food is good and at a reasonable price and the wifi is also good.

There are a lot of mosquitos, but if you bring mosquito spray you won't have to worry about them. Also there are a few gecko, small lizards that are not dangerous and always run away when you are getting close to them.

Rating: 10/10 Veluvana was truly beyond expectations. The architecture, the peaceful atmosphere, and the connection with nature were absolutely stunning. Everything was thoughtfully designed and impeccably clean. The food was amazing – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and always smiling. A special thank you to Ms. Deviani – she was exceptionally helpful, warm, and professional throughout our stay. The hotel service is particularly good, especially the help we received from Surya. He is a really great guy. I recommend that friends who enjoy the outdoors and nature stay at this hotel.

There will be some insect and gecko friends around, though they won't bother us much. The wind will be quite strong at night and there will be temperature difference between day and night.

Staff allowed a late check out which was really helpful and nice. We had also booked the floating breakfast which was beautiful. And the photoshoot with the drone which was stunning! The photos take about a week to come through and the quality is amazing. Each room joins a WhatsApp group so communicating your needs with the staff was efficient and prompt. overall wonderful experience with very good value for money.

Villa was full of insects and there was many large lizard above our bed in octopus villa , It was a nightmare it could fall on you anytime , so we couldn’t sleep the whole night , when we complained about this and staff said it’s a part of your stay as you are living in a forest area .

My stay at Veluvana in Sidemen was an unforgettable experience, with the breathtaking views and exceptional service being the highlights of my visit. The serene and picturesque setting made for a truly unique stay. Unfortunately, we missed the stunning Mt. Agung view due to clouds, which suggests that a two-night stay might be ideal for those who can handle the natural elements and want to ensure they experience the full beauty of the location. Overall, while my one-night stay was mostly comfortable, there are some aspects that need attention to truly justify the outstanding cost per night. Despite these issues, the view and service at Veluvana were remarkable, and with a few improvements, the experience could be perfect.

I believe there are areas for improvement, particularly in the bathroom of the Cobra house. The shower would be much better if it were enclosed with bamboo to avoid the sanitary issues presented by the shower curtain. Similarly, the toilet suffers from the same problem with a dirty and mildew-ridden curtain that is unpleasant to face while sitting. Additionally, the step near the toilet is hidden by the curtain, which caused me to trip and fall upon exiting. When we had just checked in and were enjoying our private pool, we were asked to keep quiet for the neighbors who were sunbathing, which was a bit inconvenient. Regarding the bedding, everything smelled like mildew beyond naturally becoming damp from the open-air concept. Moreover, the turn-down service was incomplete; we requested the mosquito nets to be set up while we went for a sunset dinner, but returned to find them still open.

Breathtaking experience

We stayed in the Octopus room, I liked the location, the view, the pool, the floating breakfast was really nice. Dinner menu was good as well. The location is very private. The staff was very helpful and nice and made it up to us when there was a small pool incident from the previous guest.

Beautiful, amazing service, art bamboo house.

My husband and I came here as part of our honeymoon trip. We wanted a unique stay in a bamboo house with lots of character. Veluvana did not disappoint! We stayed in Manta house and loved that we felt like we were in nature’s womb inside a treehouse. The views! The amazing wildlife! All of the details to bring nature in were stunning. You do loose some of the traditional amenities in favor of aesthetic, but since we stayed for 2 nights we didn’t mind. This is not a place for young children. Typical safety architecture is missing. We were two adults and we loved being trusted with the layout of the house. Design for the win. It was pretty warm during our stay (all of Bali seems to be 10 degrees hotter than typical), so the second story bedroom was on the warm side. The staff provided two fans, so we slept well. We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food was really yummy. Anything we needed was just a WhatsApp message away. Thank you to Devi, Surya, Kadek, and Gede for ensuring every moment of our visit was special.

At times the design went a touch too far. We didn’t have storage for our items except for on the ground. The shower was a touch intense.
