Very welcoming Villas

The hospitality and restaurant on site was exceptional. The hosts we're very welcoming and provided assistance in getting around sidemen. A beautiful jungle walk is accessible behind the Villas and two grocery shops 10mins walk away. The rice fields walk was great and also Silver jewellery making. Had a wonderful time and would happily recommend.

We weren't aware prior to our stay that the restaurant on site is cash only so could have been more prepared. There is an ATM but not in walking distance, can also be hit and miss in accessing cash. This was our fault for not doing due research, zero complaints about the restaurant as the food and service was great 😃

Dirty and not well maintained.

I don’t recommend this property. It’s dirty, not well maintained, and my door wouldn’t close properly even when locking. I checked out after only 1.5 hours.

Not clean, beware of the worms

The location was good and the pool area nice

The rooms weren’t clean, in the bathroom there are pebbles in the shower area and when you shower WORMS come up put of the ground, so very unhygienic. The doors and windows don’t close correctly so we were constantly having frogs, geckos, lizards and all sorts of bugs coming in at night.

Quiet and relaxing accommodation in the middle of rainforest

Hotel is in a quiet location. Great for relaxing with the rainforest view. The host is very kind and accommodating. Food is very good. Also don't forget to say high to Chulu.

The hotel is a bit far from restaurants and shops, but the host can organise a driver for you. Stairs can be slippery when rain.

An expensive disappointment

Not the 'deluxe villa' that is advertised! I was charged £106 for three nights, I had to stay for one as it was late, but ended up booking elsewhere. I was also charged £53 on top of this for cancellation, still awaiting a refund. False advertisement and very disappointing. The whole room and linen smelled of garlic and unfortunately the place is run down. Lots more beautiful places to stay in Sidemen. I booked this place as a treat and it was the second most expensive stay I booked in Bali. I feel they do not care about customer satisfaction and are just out to make money. I don't write negative reviews but some clarity is needed for potential customers.

A decent rainforest getaway in Sidemen

I liked the location, the view, the family was so friendly, the food was great!

I didn’t like how they had no water fill up station to refill your water bottle. Every other place I stayed at in Bali offered this for free. So then we had to buy plastic which we didn’t like. If they are concerned about making money, they could just put a jar on top of the big water fill up with a donation of 3K to fill each time. Save the planet!! Our room’s AC did not cool off much and we were quite hot when we were trying to sleep.

Nice hotel on the outskirts of the city with a green view!

The room was spacious, but ours was a bit hard to reach (with luggage) due to some steeply stairs, and had a nice green decor/view. The owners are really kind and helpful and will try to make your stay as great as possible. Breakfast is served at your room or on the terrace near the pool.

The bed is a bit hard, there is no water cooker in the room and their tea/coffee to order is a bit expensive, it is a little outside the city area where the main restaurants and hotels are, but a 30-minute will do.

Lovely Stay with a view

What a wonderful place with a magical view of the jungle. Hearth warming people, delicious food (especially the gado-gado) and a nice pool. We were expecting many Moskitos, but there were nearly none.

Imo it's a bit expensive for what u actually getting. You py for the view, the room is nothing that special. Breakfast was super basic as well. I think for 550k a night it would be a good value for money place. If you really like astonishing view you will enjoy there.

A surprisingly impressive homestay in Sideman with the best hosts you could ask for!

The property was a beautiful little homestay in Sideman. It was a nice surprise driving down the hidden driveway to find the property opened up to beautiful views over the jungle. The owners were so friendly and helpful, they couldn't have looked after us better. The room was spacious and comfortable with beautiful views. The hire of a scooter during our stay was also helpful and the staff offered to drive us to dinner one night.

The air conditioning didn't work too well to cool the room down, the hot water also ran out if 2 people showered for too long but that is to be expected in a small village like this I guess.

Home away from home

I've never stayed anywhere with such friendly and helpful staff. They are so genuinely kind and willing to offer advice and help when needed. The food is delicious and the setting is so beautiful, what an amazing view! A great place to relax and wind down.

Excellent and would 100% stay again!

The view across from the pool was stunning seeing the whole green jungle below, you could hear the river softly below and overall the hotel was great as well.

Location was a little out of Sidemen which meant getting taxis / scooters but the accommodation were so helpful with it that it didn’t really matter!

The many recommendations did not live up to our experience

Incredibly welcoming and friendly hosts. They helped us with anything we asked for help with. There was a good breakfast.

The place is characterized by being quite worn. The room had an unpleasant smell. The bathroom smelled downright nasty from the drain. This was attempted to be dampened with a urinal ball. The water supply at the toilet was leaking, so blank water flowed onto the floor. This was not rectified, despite reprimand. The view did not live up to what was expected as we stayed in a basement room. The hotel is secluded and not within walking distance of restaurants and cafes in Sidemen's tourist area. The relatively high price level for the accommodation, seen in relation to what was delivered, was not commensurate with what is otherwise offered in the same area.

I would recommend this villa for it’s comfort and Indonesian hospitality.

Gusti and Ayu were gracious hosts. They were interested in making our stay as comfortable as possible. Wide range of breakfast and other meals both western and Indonesian were tasty and substantial. Arranged for or provided transportation for us as needed and gave us tips on local attractions. Quiet, peaceful with a natural forest outlook over the pool area.

Location could be better. There is access to a short forest hike immediately behind the property but exploring on foot otherwise necessitates walking on a busy road. Would recommend having the owners drop off and pick up in town or arrange a scooter rental, both of which they are more than happy to do.

Amazing nature stay in the most beautiful setting with the best family!

Staff are amazing. Gusti and his family are so welcoming and are genuinely the nicest people. The room is spacious, shower is warm and powerful and the breakfast is great - especially the papaya fruit made on location. We did a Sidemen tour with Gusti which was amazing, visiting local temples and waterfalls. They also offer drop off / pick-up service in the local area which is brill if you are not driving yourself. Thanks for everything!

You sign a contract with nature visiting this property. There are insects, but then again you are in a jungle so it is to be expected!

Quiet, introspective stay right next to nature.

Its quiet, remote and right next to nature. I booked the honeymoon suite which had a brick wall interior, and the windows were large and open into the jungle. The morning sun shines into my room, and the sounds of the river below is a constant companion. The pool deck is a wonderful place to hang out, I never got tired sitting outside and soaking in the view. The property faces east and gets a sunrise view, and in the afternoon the sun sets on the other side making it cool to swim. At night the entire sky is open to the terrace, it’s really nice to sit and watch the moon and stars. The guesthouse is along a quiet street and I enjoyed my solitude and quietness very much. The owners Gusti and Ayu were wonderful hosts who made sure I had everything I needed.

Nothing, but I think for some people the remoteness might be a problem, though personally I liked that very much. If I wanted to be picky, the bathroom did not have natural ventilation but I just left the door open after use and it’s not a problem. There can also be ants and other small insects but it’s all part of staying very close to nature. The guesthouse is a simple and basic set up, you should bring your own toiletries if you prefer, otherwise I’m sure you can get it from a nearby shop. Bring your own mat if you’d like to do some yoga on the terrace.

what an amazing place! Gusty and his family received you in their house they transformed in a hòtel ( with just 5 bedrooms) and you feel like you are part of the family. And their house is beautiful. You can not imagine from.the outside what you will find there. I could have stay here for days and weeks, it was so peaceful, with a beautiful view on the jungle, a pretty garden, perfect pool. Really a great place! We slept in the huge family room wich is like a entire house ( you can cook here if you want) and it was perfect. The other bedrooms are more noisy ( frogs!!!😁)

Some things need a refresh ( curtains in bedroom for instance) and a bit more of a decoration in bedrooms should be nice.

We enjoyed our time at the Villa.

There is a beautiful view from the room and the pool. Breakfast was tasty. The staff will cook you dinner or lunch if you like. The immediate surroundings include a temple which is unusual and interesting.

The one downside I will mention is the fact that the nearby town with restaurants and shops is a 20 minute walk on a road with no shoulder for pedestrians.

Muy decepcionante

El paraje de selva es bonito pero la experiencia en el hotel es tan mala que ni te gusta ni disfrutas del paraje.

La falta de higiene es un gran tema en este hotel. Si no lo revisan deberían quitarles el carné. No es admisible tan poca higiene, concretamente en los baños. Bichos, gusanos, en fin un desastre los baños de la habitación. Las hamacas en el jardín están muy viejas, muy dejado todo, ni te apetece tumbarte en ellas. Solo estuvimos para dormir y nada más. Si lo hubiéramos sabido no hubiéramos reservado en este hotel. Pero claro como es habitual, las fotos que ponen son espectaculares. NO REALES. Las habitaciones huelen a humedad y no tienen la luz que proyectan las fotos. El hotel es mucho más pequeño de lo que se ve en las fotos. En fin un poco un fraude.

Goede accomodatie

Het hotel ligt op een aantal km van Sidemen waardoor je zeker een taxi nodig hebt. Ook via de app Grab was het niet evident een taxi te vinden. Gelukkig was de eigenaar zo vriendelijk om ons naar het restaurant te brengen en terug te halen (tegen betaling).

De dieren van de jungle springen al wel eens de kamer binnen.

Dépaysement total

Quand je vois les autres commentaires, cela me fait bien rire, tous le monde dit que l’emplacement est loin du centre ville mais à un moment c’est a vous de regarder où votre logement est situé à un moment faut avoir un peu de jugeote, surtout que que booking il y a un onglet qui s’appelle carte et vous pouvez voir l’emplacement… Enfin bref l’emplacement pour le repos avec une piscine en face de la jungle est juste splendide !

Je vais faire un commentaire constructif là où l’établissement peut rebondir c’est juste que le club sandwich est très léger, il n’y a pas grand chose dedans c’est dommage.

Prachtige omgeving, veel onderhoud nodig

Prachtig uitzicht vanaf de kamer. Je waant je volledig in de jungle. Hele vriendelijke eigenaren die de hele dag voor je klaar staan en alles voor je willen regelen. Er wordt vers gekookt van een minimale kaart maar smaakt goed.

Er is behoorlijk achterstallig onderhoud en het is niet schoon. De parasols zijn dusdanig verschimmeld, zo ook schimmel in de schilderijen waar je kunt eten. De kamer erg vochtig, maar komt ook door de vochtige omgeving. De locatie ligt ver van het centrum vandaan en lopend naar Sidemen is door het hoogte verschil maar zeker door de enorme hoeveelheid verkeer een uitdaging

Pas incroyable

Le personnel vraiment très agréable et à l écoute, la piscine avec une vue magnifique.

La nourriture petit déjeuné très basic la chambre remplie d’insecte (fourmis même dans le lit, 1 cafard géant, et un petit scorpion) Nous devions rester 2 nuits mais sommes partis après 1. Nous avons fait d autre hôtels au milieu des bois et n avons pas eu ce soucis à ce point là.
