If you want to walk the ricefields, this is the place.

When you walk 200 meters you are in the middle of rice paddies. It’s amazing to walk around there, far away from the crowds in the area around the pasar of Sidemen. The restaurant is very good, important because on walking distance there are no real alternatives.

If you want to go to the area of the pasar of Sidemen you need transport. The road is extremely dangerous to walk due to heavy truck-traffic. The sunny side of this is written by the positive things of this accommodation.

It was the best place I stayed in Bali. Clean, Beautiful, Peaceful. Loved it!

I am very happy about my stay in Sidemen Villas. Facility was so beautiful and peaceful. Rooms were clean. It is in the middle of nature. There are restuarant and spa in the facility. There is possibility to book activities like rafting, trekking etc. from reception. And staff were the best! They are super friendly and nice people. We stayed 3 nights but regret that we didn't stay for a week. Definitely gonna stay longer next time!

The most incredible hotel I have ever stayed in! With only 6 rooms, the service was excellent and it was a very peaceful hotel. Free room service and beautiful jungle private pool. The hotel staff were very friendly and attentive.

The food wasn't fantastic, breakfast was fine but the lunch & dinner was disappointing. Due to injury I cant drive my own scooter, and the hotel is 10 min drive from restaurants which was the only negative.

A serene, private mountain retreat with stunning views, excellent staff, and total comfort — a perfect escape in Sidemen

Everything about The Sidemen Villa (2 Bedroom) was exceptional. The mountain view from the infinity pool was breathtaking, including the calm, misty, and endlessly scenic. The villa offered complete privacy (100%), creating a truly peaceful and rejuvenating stay. The room was spotless with soft bedding, a clean and modern bathroom, and a refreshing shower. The food was clean, fresh, and flavorful, and the staff were warm, kind, and thoughtful. They greeted us with a true Balinese smile upon check-in and the same heartfelt warmth on our last day, when we sadly had to check out. They also arranged our airport pickup and private tour packages, letting us pay conveniently after checkout, this was a considerate and thoughtful touch that made our experience seamless. The entire atmosphere was calm, genuine, and full of quiet charm.

A once-in-a-lifetime stay surrounded by pure nature, beauty, and calm.

The most magical and romantic stay we’ve ever experienced. The villa is tucked right in the middle of the rainforest, surrounded by nothing but greenery, fresh air, and the sound of nature. It felt completely secluded and private, like our own hidden sanctuary. Waking up to the mist rolling over the trees was unreal — it didn’t even feel real, more like a scene from a dream. We spent our mornings slow and quiet, and our evenings watching the sky change colors from the pool. The atmosphere is peaceful in a way that’s hard to describe until you’re there. The staff were warm, thoughtful, and attentive without ever being intrusive. The room was spotless, beautifully styled, and designed to blend with nature, which made the whole stay feel so effortless.

The only downside was having to leave. We should’ve booked extra nights because it’s the kind of place you never want to rush.

Amazing mountain views.

The mountain views are the highlight of the villa. The cabana day bed was amazing to lay around on. So comfortable. The pool is nice and cool. The villas as very private. . The restaurant had good food options but was a bit western in flavour for our personal preferences. The salads are good. The staff are very attentive. The location to other amenities is a bit far unless you have transport, which is easily accessible.

Feedback... A hotel of the this calibre really should be a bit more eco friendly. They do supply 2 glass bottles of "drinking water," which are refilled daily, but the taste of this water was horrible. In nearly all the other places we have stayed in Bali and Lombok, we have had our own 20l water bottle refill station either in the room or in the hotel lobby. The cost of this would be minimal. Water refills are the future!

We had a truly lovely stay at Sidemen Villas.

We had the most wonderful stay at Sidemen Villas. The whole property is surrounded by lush greenery and filled with beautiful plants, creating such a peaceful atmosphere. You’ll find everything you could possibly need – from restaurant and a relaxing spa to your own private pool. Our villa was even more stunning than in the photos – it truly left us speechless! We ended up canceling all our other plans just to enjoy the villa and its incredible views all day long. We even wanted to extend our stay, but unfortunately, it was fully booked. The staff were unbelievably kind, attentive, and helpful. They organized all our transfers quickly and easily via WhatsApp, which made everything so simple. You can also pay for everything at the hotel by card, which is super convenient. We had such a lovely time, even though it was far too short. Hopefully, we’ll be back again one day – we’re already looking forward to it!

Amazing place , would come back again

The property is beautiful, all villas are just amazing, each villa faces the valley and its very quite, peaceful, and private. The location is centrally located to visit all of the sites near Sidermen. The restaurant they have on the property serves amazing food. We stayed there for 4 nights and we had dinner every night and each dish was amazing. The fettuccine alfredo i had was even better than many of the italian restaurants in New York. The service and attention provided by all the staff was top notch .

A relaxing time in Sidemen

We had a fabulous stay at the Sidemen Villas. We had a 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom villa.....both had amazing views and were extremely comfortable with everything we needed. The staff here are incredible....so friendly and very keen to make you feel at ease and well looked after. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast...plenty of choice and of a high standard. We ate in the restaurant both nights of our stay and again the food was delicious and there was a good variety of options including both local and western cuisine. The cocktails were good too. During our stay we went trekking with Mangku. As mentioned in previous reviews he is a brilliant and knowledgeable guide and it is well worth taking. He was especially kind and thoughtful to us being older ladies and we felt well looked after. We also enjoyed our time in the Spa. This is a lovely place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the Real Bali.

Perfect stay, I recommend

We stayed two nights at this incredible hotel in Sidemen, with magnificent views of the jungle. Their welcome and kindness throughout our stay were excellent. We had a floating breakfast in our private pool, and we had dinner, which was excellent. Everything was perfect; I highly recommend it.

The property has amazing valley view with glimpses of mount agung , the villas are beautiful as are the gardens and pool and paths around the resort. The restaurant serves a delicious breakfast and free afternoon tea as well as evening dining with superb food and service. It is a great quiet place as a base to tour East Bali attractions.

Jungle paradise, would be happy to return

Beautiful property. Stayed in a 2 bedroom villa with infinity pool overlooking the jungle. Spectacular view. Simply divine, listening to the sounds of the jungle emanating around us. Spacious property, with only 6 villas in total, spectacular gardens and onsite spa. Complimentary foot massage fantastic. Fantastic rice terrace tour with Mangku, informative and fun. He looked after my 81 year old mother beautifully. Very attentive and gorgeous staff, all so welcoming, nothing any trouble. A little out of the main area of Sideman, so transport required. A little piece of paradise.

We had a quiet time at the Sidemen Villa with a lot of privacy.

The room has a very nice setting with a beautiful bathroom, a private pool and Gazebo. Everything looked pretty new and worked perfectly. We specifically liked the privacy of the room and pool. The Sidemen Villa is in a very nice location with views into a river valley and you would not see any other houses from the room.

The only little negative is that the hotel is a further than walking distance from the other tourist attractions of Sidemen.

Hidden gem in Sidemen

Unique and amazing experience at the Sidemen Villas. Room was perfect, breathtaking view, service and food were top of the notch. Special thanks to all personnel, who treats you like kings. Perfect if you stay there as a couple and go walking near rice fields, see waterfalls, take silver making class, and visit Besakih temple. We were here for two nights and wished we stayed longer.

The villa pool and bedroom overlook a beautiful forest that is peaceful and relaxing. The staff and service were extremely friendly and helpful. Every day, we were served tea, which included something sweet and savoury. Our room included a 15 min free foot massage each. We also ate in the restaurant, which had a good selection of food. We will definitely stay here again when in Sidemen.

The pictures on booking.com and their website do not do this place justice. The property is absolutely beautiful. The outdoor bed, bathroom, and pool were beautiful. The staff was fantastic. The food on property was great.

There wasn’t really an area to eat your meals, but they are building a restaurant, so that will soon no longer be a problem. It’s about a 15 min car ride to Sidemen Village, or 50 min walk. It’s difficult to get a car, and the road is not great for walking on, but doable. There aren’t really other restaurants on walking distance.

Amazing place to unwind and relax

Amazing views, the swimming pool and garden, large villa, the staff couldn’t do more to help. We felt very safe and secure.

A few minor repairs are needed in the kitchen and there is some construction going on next door that can affect the tranquility of the place, but it didn’t affect our enjoyment of the place.

The villa serves breakfast breakfast but all other food needs to be ordered in, no shops close by to get hungry children snacks. It’s a long drive, and besides the view and beautiful pool, there isn’t anything for kids to do. If you are looking for rest between places this is perfect. After a busy time it was great o rest. Wouldn’t recommend it as a destination rather a pit stop en route to other places. Staff were excellent, caring and very accommodating

Beautiful location. The rooms were large and comfortable with gorgeous outdoor showers. The pool was perfect for the hot weather. We loved the lounge area where spent hours reading and relaxing. The staff were lovely and attentive. Would definitely come back.

Beautiful villa with great staff

We had an amazing 2 days. Wish we’d stayed longer. The views are phenomenal and the whole villa site is so pretty. There’s 24 hour security outside the villa (not that you feel it’s needed but it’s lovely to have) Adi was fantastic and my husband said he cooked the best Indonesian rice for breakfast as it had so much veg in. He was also really helpful. He organised a driver to take us in to Sideman for dinner who was also lovely. It was 150k return which I know someone was moaning about but in comparison to England that would get us a mile down the road. So we were more than happy to pay. The villa had everything we needed and we hope to stay again next year. Thank you for a lovely stay.
