Great stay at Sidemen

Very clean space. The breakfast was delicious every day! The staff were super friendly and extremely helpful when we needed help to book activities or had any questions. Excellent location in sideman with lovely views. Excellent value for money.

Amazing oasis with beautiful views

Cepik Villas were fantastic - I had a very beautiful huge room with splendid views on the forrest; woke up to the sounds of birds and fell asleep to the sounds of crickets and frogs… also loved watching the activities in the village and Balinese country life…The overall premises, the pool and the little restaurant were also lovely; all staff went out of their way to do an amazing job - highly recommended accommodation and good value for money…

Unfortunately, I was relieved when my time came to an end.

I liked the gardens.

I was disappointed with my room. There was a real problem with ants which I reported several times. The ants were even crawling into my luggage. I also noticed an odour in the bathroom area. Overall the property is in need of updating and overall repair.

We had such a wonderful stay at Cepik Villa. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine smiles and kindness. The staff even took our luggage and brought it to our room, which made us feel so welcomed. The villa is incredibly beautiful, with a breathtaking view of the rice fields right from our room. Breakfast was amazing, and the food overall was excellent. The service and kindness of the staff were truly extraordinary. I highly recommend Cepik Villa and can't wait to come back.

A little oasis in the rice fields

The property was absolutely what we wanted and more. The room was large, clean and very comfortable with a lovely view onto the gardens. The pool is in a peaceful setting with sun loungers to sit and chill. If you get chance during your stay treat yourself to a massage. Yes it’s more expensive than the one up the road however the setting at the hotel is special and the massage was amazing, one of the best we’ve had (plus they use local people). Yoga is well worth it too, a great way to start the day. Held outside with the rush of the river flowing by, it was a small intimate class with great direction and points for improvement. The breakfast was lovely and we also enjoyed lunch when we arrived. There are lots of lovely cafes and restaurants within walking distance and I encourage you to visit them and give them a try too. The staff themselves make this place special, they are welcoming, friendly, helpful. We loved our stay and we will definitely be back.

wonderful and magical place

The location was magical. The gardens and pool were beautiful. The rooms were luxurious. The views from the room and restaurant were breathtaking. The ladies at the spa were exceptional. The food was great, especially the Bali breakfast. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The whole experience will be one I will never forget.

Tucked away magic in paradise

Staff were all friendly, gave us very useful recommendations about Lempuyang Temple which literally saved us hours. Helped us with so many little things and worked with me up surprise my girlfriend. It was the second time I've stayed here and I will definitely return

Beautiful & peaceful but not much to do especially if unwell

It was beautiful. The room was so gorgeous overlooking the rice paddy fields. It was very peaceful

We arrived, lay by the pool and had some lunch (satay chicken for me) and within hours I was really unwell with Bali belly for the next 36 hours. I am not sure if it was the chicken but my daughter was fine and she ate something else (it was the only thing we’d eaten that day). A difficult place to be unwell as no local facilities and we were obviously nervous about eating from the hotel restaurant again. Spent my whole visit in bed feeling terrible - lovely bed to be in but it would have been nice if hotel had taken some possible responsibility

A great place in Ubud

The environment is well-kept and looks great. It is a bit away from Ubud, therefore less noisy. They offer a lot of free activities e.g. yoga classes, which were great. The SPA was incredible. All in all, it is one of the best properties around Ubud.

Ubud overall is busy and noisy. The food options, although great, were not of the best quality compared to other places I visited.

Amazing view from the room

The room had a BEAUTIFUL view to rice fields. It was impecable, comfortable and the staff was super friendly. We did the silver workshop and the easy trek. We recommend both, even though it was rainy most of out time there, the views were great and the guide was nice. The breakfast and restaurant were delicious. We did not feel the need of eating somewhere else.

Favourite place!

We loved everything about this stay. Super service and staff, the food is so delicious with many vegan options. The food was so good, we didn't eat anywhere else. We had a beautiful view on the rice terraces. We loved Sidemen and were sad to leave! Also, the staff was super with our baby and very child friendly. Terima Kasih!

Stunning view from room, good hotel in a great location.

Beautiful view from the bedroom, right amongst one of the smaller rice fields. Stunning sunrises. Nice big room. Awesome yoga class offered just a short walk down the road.

The bathroom needs updating, our bath had big cracks that were patched up and some old stains. The tiles on the walls had big cracks that were poorly patched up. The pool area is also a little tired looking. Massage was ok but not great. Staff also seemed not as happy as other places we stayed. We also had an incident where I mistakenly paid twice and was told I’d be given my cash refund when I arrive however when I arrived and asked for the cash (which I was planning on using in town as there are limited ATMS around) I was told they didn’t have the cash available on hand and maybe I could use it to spend on extra services they offered in the hotel. After pushing back they managed to get cash out by the evening which I appreciated, but strange and not very professional.

Cepik Villa is a really nice option with all the space and comfort one can ask for in Sidemen. Not the most upscale option but works really well for my wife and I, will recommend.

Wonderful place to stay, luxurious rooms and an i'dyllic setting.

Superb hotel, great setting in lush countryside. Wonderful attentive staff. Very nice breakfast, lots of options there was a seperate vegan and vegetarianmenu, we ate at the restaurant at lunch time and evening meal as the food was so good. Sidemen is a lovely place to walk around, also longer walks through the local rice fields offer nice views and fresh air. The hotel also offers traditional massages if you fancy some pampering and private yoga sessions too.

Nice hotel in a quiet area

The room size was very large, the bed was comfortable, the aircon was very silent and cooling really well. The staff was very friendly.

One could see that the room facilities are running a bit old but nonetheless, the staff made sure we had everything we needed. Overall we had a really pleasant stay in Sideman.

Quiet little hideaway.

Loved how the staff greeted me with a free hibiscus drink which was absolutely delicious and I sat out enjoying the mountain view as I signed in. When I ordered the same drink in the morning they offered it to me 'on the house' which was lovely. Beautiful little hidden spot behind Sidemen.

Not much to say, showers could have been a little more modern and powerful, but otherwise quite comfortable.

The view from the room, balcony, the bathroom and even toilet with the view - loved it! Super comfortable bed.

The swimming pool was not clean. It was full of bugs, some grass, and some unrecognizable substances. Dove in one, saw all of that and did not want to do it again. The breakfast was so so.

Very nice location, hotel is extremely authentic and has incredible panorama view from the restaurant. Staff is kind, always welcoming and helpful. Hotel has a pool and real Balinese nature vibes. Located in a nice street with many restaurants. Staff was even helping to plan our local visits. Have separate area inside for Yoga and meditations on the ground with the view on the sunrise. Perfect place to recharge yourself. Very fast delivery of the scooter.

Hotel is not modern and furniture is vintage, but it feels like the local vibes still, would not suit for those who needs modern vibes. Some insects and mosquitoes is the case but ors located in front of rice fields and thats normal. Bed has separate thing to close from them.

Staff team was very friendly and helpful. F&B staff was well versed with the menu and able to describe them sufficiently well. Bed cover and sheets were freshly washed and bed was comfortable.

The WiFi was not always accessible. Faulty room telephone could not be repaired. Sugar packs for beverages in room was not fresh. Room cleaning was not thorough. Sofa set was not well cleaned.

It was a very beautiful villa. We had booked the rice terrace suite for our honeymoon. The suite was very specious and beautiful. It had a hot bathtub as well. The rice terrace view from the balcony was also very amazing.

The food was really bad. I had ordered a vegetable club sandwich and it was not edible at all. It was terrible in taste. The location is also not very accessible for taxis from mainland. The local Grab and Gojek will not work here. So if you are planning to stay here, better make arrangements for your return car in advance. The hotel arranges cars for your return, but they will charge you 30 USD for a return trip. They also have a tell us in advance policy, so if you want to avail any services like breakfast, dinner or return car, you'll need to inform them one day prior. This seemed like a very strange policy. Not sure why they do it.

Lovely spacious rooms and a quiet property. Only a small number of rooms, which makes it feel very private. Nice pool, great views of the rice fields. The restaurant was excellent, some of the best food we had in Bali! The staff were very helpful in arranging transportation, activities, massages, etc. We had a lovely stay.
