Highly recommended
This is a very original accommodation complex with a strong connection to the local community and many activities available. The place has a lot of charm, and the hosts make everything easy for you, whatever you want to do — from providing a guide to hike Mount Agung to arranging a driver to explore the surrounding area. We especially loved the therapeutic massages; they were among the best we have ever had. Overall, it’s an excellent choice for discovering a different side of Bali, far from the classic tourist routes. Highly recommended.

Felt like we are home and we were treated like family
It was a very last-minute decision to stay at Jero Tumbuk, but I believe we were guided there—it was exactly what we needed. We were looking for somewhere quiet and surrounded by nature. We were feeling tired and just wanted time to rest and reconnect—and Jero Tumbuk was perfect for that. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family. We felt the love and warmth of Ari and Lanang. The bamboo rooms are magical, and the meals are delicious and locally inspired. The massages offered by Wayan are deeply healing, and she generously shares her wisdom. Ari and Lanang were incredibly kind and generous. They took us around the village to learn about the local culture and even invited us to cultural events. I truly felt like their daughter—they even drove us around when we needed it. Recommendations: • Stay in the bamboo rooms • Book massages with Wayan • Don’t skip the mandala reading—it will surprise you . Book the sound healing • Take a walk in the nearby village • If you’re there during Sanghyang Dedari, don’t miss the opportunity to witness the dance and connect more deeply with the culture

Beautiful setting in a quiet area with friendly staff and great hosts.
Wonderful hosts and staff, amazing breakfast and dinners. This place is much more than a place to stay, it is a place to learn more about traditional Balinese culture. The hosts provide village children with free gamelan and dance lessons. There are great walks through surrounding villages on quiet, tree lined streets and through rice fields. Jagasatru Waterfall or Air Terjun Jagasatru is within walking distance - a solid walk as it is quite a steep climb coming back from the waterfall - or a 15 minute motorbike ride. I highly recommend a 3 or 4 night stay - even longer if you want a place for relaxing and meditating.

Left early. PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING..
Authentic bamboo structure and the garden was amazing to walk around in.
- Bit of confusion over if the property had pool access, after seeing one in the pictures, which the garden villa does not so be warned. - No views of the mountain from this property type either or any views really due to the greenery of the garden surrounding the property and the direction it's facing Both of the above features are only accessible if you book the private villa. There are no common areas. -The food choice was very simple, and not too varied. Personally, I can't start off the day with fried noodles and rice and eggs and cake. There didn't seem to be any other healthier options, and due to the remote location (we don't ride mopeds) there was nowhere else suitable to eat at. So my body by the second day was feeling sluggish. The 2nd evening that we ordered dinner, two hours went by with no response and we were thinking about how to get some food, but the big fat rat in the ceiling above the bed helped us decide it was time to leave early. We don't mind gekos and moths and even cockroaches, we are basically in a treehouse after all, but there was just something that was too unnerving about a giant rat visibly running around above our heads as we slept! We left that evening to go to a nearby hotel and had to pay 450k for the driver to collect us.

Beware, Pathetic and horrible!!!
There was nothing in this villa to be liked by anyone including the arrogant host and her husband
A one star is underrated for this stay. The rooms are very dirty, with stains and bugs on the floor. The bathroom was unbearably filthy with broken taps. We have booked for a two bedroom Villa, where one of the bedroom was far from the main bedroom with another entrance on a different floor and had no bathroom attached or anywhere closer, we have complained immediately about the situation to the manager, Ari (she mentioned her name so). Her response to situation was terrible as she asked us to adjust for the night with a broken tap and a filthy room. The next morning we went again to discuss the matter to Ari, she came along with her husband and started rudely talking to us and shouted at us saying, this is what is available and if you don’t want it leave the premises. We have never experienced such a rude behavior from anywhere else, so beware !!! Beware !!! before booking this place.
