Vishala Retreat Bali

We absolutely loved our stay at Vishala Retreat Bali. The villa is beautiful, very peaceful and quiet, with incredible views, and it felt like a perfect place to properly relax. Adi was a fantastic host and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Communication was always easy and quick, and anything we needed was organised without any fuss. We also really enjoyed the food at the villa. It was delicious, very reasonably priced, and made staying in and enjoying the villa even better. The massage was excellent as well and such a nice addition to the stay. Overall, we enjoyed it so much. Everything felt comfortable, private and well looked after, and we would very happily stay here again.

Not a negative, but a suggestion - it would be nice to create a dedicated space to put the open suitcases on. We kept them open on the floor because there was not enough space to unpack, but even a dedicated bench for suitcases would be enough. We were also not big fans of the outdoor table set up, and floor sitting. A normal table + chairs would make meals much more comfortable. None of these in any way made our stay more difficult. We really had great and peaceful time, thank you.

Everything was just perfect. This was the second stop after Ubud on our honeymoon, and we highly enjoyed the peaceful villa after the busy Ubud area. The bamboo house is located in an incredibly private setting, with breathtaking views of the rice fields and Mount Agung. While you’re surrounded by the beautiful natural landscape, the villa itself also has everything one could need and more to unwind and fully recharge. In terms of activities, we highly recommend exploring the beautiful Sidemen area as well as the east of the island through the private tours Adi organizes. While many other hotels simply arrange a driver for you, Adi acts as a full tour guide, explaining everything along the way and never leaving a question unanswered. He also acts like a professional photographer, taking lots of pictures during our trips so that we can cherish the memories of our honeymoon forever. Thanks to him, we were able to see some of the most magical and special places, and everything was organized incredibly smoothly. We also booked a private yoga class as well as massages, which were arranged directly at the villa, and we could not have asked for a better view during the treatments. The price/value ratio is great as well. Adi and his amazing team make sure that all your needs are fully taken care of. We only realized upon arrival that Vishala consists of just one single villa and that all staff members are essentially on-call for you to when you need them 24/7. You will feel exceptionally well taken care of by the team, who are not only incredibly kind but also make every wish possible - including fresh coconuts before every day trip. If you ever go to the Sidemen area - which you absolutely should - you must make a stop here! A BIG thank you to Adi and the entire Vishala team for all their amazing efforts in making our honeymoon stop here an incredible time!

There was so much to love about our stay here at Vishala. We came on our honeymoon, and from start to finish, the hosts were so beyond kind and helpful and provided us with round-the-clock service for anything we may need. They greeted us, gave us a tour of the entire room and all its amenities and helped us with our heavy bags. We never had to worry about what to eat during our stay in Sidemen as they had a full menu of breakfast, lunch, and dinner (both balinese and international) options that they will serve at whichever time you ask, and the spread was delicious and beautiful each time. The view from our villa was just as breathtaking and private as it is shown to be. You are surrounded by nature and somehow the villa is still so clean there were almost never any insects that came inside except for some bees who get lost. We loved the infinity pool and having a floating breakfast in it was one of the highlights of our stay. The villa itself is just so beautifully designed. When we wanted to tour around Sidemen, Adi drove us around to the spots we had saved, and also provided us with his recommendations which we enjoyed greatly. He was very kind and knowledgeable. They provide you with a comprehensive guide upon check-in that includes tour packages if you are interested, but will also be able to accomodate you if you want to do your own custom tour. They also have private massage services they can provide you in the villa, which was very comfortable. Truly, everything was so perfect here. It was our favorite stay in all of Bali and I would absolutely come again if I could.

I have no bad things to say about Vishala whatsoever. If I had to make any suggestions at all, I would maybe only say if there can be water bottles placed in the fridge ahead of time, that would be a minor detail that would be nice (as someone who only really enjoys drinking their water cold). But you can easily fill bottles from the filtered water they provide and put it in the mini fridge, so this was not a problem at all for us. Also do try to take shorter showers, as the water heater will not stay hot for too long.
