Beautiful place

The property is a bit off Sidemen. It is very beautiful and decorated with taste. The rooms are very spacious, each with a beutiful veranda overlooking the pond. The staff is very kind, like everyone in Bali.

Right next door they are building an extension. Understandable, it it tho low season now (february) and they have to work. But, we were on vacation, and banging and construction noise was not realy wanted. We complained to the manager, and thankfully he arranged for quiet works to be done during our 3 day stay. Nice gesture.

Little beautiful gem

We had a wonderful stay. The room was extremely comfortable and truly felt like a home away from home. The hotel grounds are immaculate and beautifully landscaped. A highlight was the stunning view from the swimming pool. Above all, the staff was incredible—always attentive and ready to help.

Cute village in the mountains, scooters are a must so you can get out an explore rice fields and waterfalls on your own, the hotel can organise. Rooms nicely decorated and fairly clean.

Upon arriving the staff was sleeping at 1 pm. The staff was not attentive and looked like they wanted to be there or interested in talking during our 2 days. Drinks was expensive to purchase and breakfast was not adequate. We had villas next to the road, it was super noisy in the middle of the night and pillows where very uncomfortable.

Great place in beautiful Sidemen

I loved the gardens, truly beautiful. The guy who manages the hotel drove me to Koli Koli and then came to pick me up, also one day I got kind of lost, I called him and he came to find me and get me back to the hotel on the scooter. To me this is a great customer service.

The food as many others say is not that good and the waiting time is long. But I would still go there again.

An oasis in paradise!

Beautiful and serene setting overlooking pond and pool. Very comfy bed and lovely shower with rain shower head. Everywhere totally beautiful.

Amazing stay. Very beautiful and beautifully decorated. I really enjoyed my stay. For this price what you get is very good. Food was amazingly good aswell. The owner is very very kind and made our stay easier and very pleasant. Thank you a lot and see you next time when I come in sidemen!

Gorgeous hotel by the rice terraces

Stunningly beautiful garden with gorgeous pool, small waterfalls, and koi pond. A really tasty breakfast and a very comfortable room. Very thoughtful hosts who were exceptionally accommodating and helped organize drivers/dinners etc.

Beautiful quiet location. Our room was lovely with a view over a gorgeous fishpond. Staff were very helpful and Sidemen is a great location. We were right beside rice fields where we could take a 3 kilometres walk through them.

A peaceful stay with exceptional service, beautiful surroundings, and top-notch comfort

My stay at Griya Valud was absolutely flawless. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, always eager to accommodate our needs. With just four rooms currently (and two more on the way), the property offers a serene, intimate atmosphere, especially with its gorgeous pond and infinity pool. Our twin room was brand new, spacious, and impeccably clean, including the bathroom. The on-site restaurant also served delicious meals throughout our stay.

Honestly, there’s nothing I can fault. One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in recent memory.

Perfect little getaway in green oasis!

Griya Valud is a beautiful quiet green oasis! We stayed here for two nights. The staff is super super friendly. They helped us with arranging airport pick up and we could rent scooters directly from them. The cottage is spacious and bed is very comfortable! The shower had good pressure and water was warm. Breakfast was nice! Try the mixed vegetable omelette :) There is a nice walk through rice terraces and farm land just around the corner which you can enter for 25k idr. All in all the perfect getaway!

Nature focused bliss in sidemen

Beautiful spot to stay if you are visit g the sidemen area. This bnb is simply gorgeous and serene. The staff are also lovely. They helped me with a scooter rental and answered any questions that I had. The one thing that could be improved here is the food. It was just ok. And the coffee was unfortunately bad imo. There was also no hand soap in the bathroom and the shower soap was empty when I arrived. The shampoo also ran out on my second night there.

Highly recommend to stay for some laidback time.

Loved it here. Quite and lush place in the laidback region of sidemen. A very pretty trecking point through the plantations is close by. The staff is very friendly and took me even on a short scooter trip. They also have laundry service which I recommend. The pool is amazing. Dinner food was good. Many activities nearby, such as silver workshops, amazing rafting and beautiful waterfalls.

I deduct a point because the breakfast and juices were really not good. Quoted driver was expensive, took a Gojek instead.

Beware of Construction noise!

The rooms are really comfortable European style which is rare in Bali. Ac is quiet and efficient.

There is an ongoing construction right on the premises which was not mentioned in the property description. It was unpleasant surprise. It was quite disturbing and made staying in the hotel uncomfortable. Also, it's not our first time in Sidemen and I was disappointed that the area is the least scenic of all our previous visits. There is literally no view, just a garden. I feel bad for those who come to Sidemen first time and miss out on all the beauty. It's better to stay on the other road, where Wapa di ume and lots of other hotels are. The views are so much better there. At last I didn't appreciate the staff attitude when I asked if we can stay in the room a bit longer. Apparently, they didn't expect any new guests but they requested for extra charge to stay extra hours. I felt that the hotel value was inflated as it is and declined. It was poor weather, strong storm and rain and me and my kids had to vacate the room in the midst of it. Felt pretty miserable and felt a bitter taste to the whole experience. Overall I felt it's a poor value for money compared to other options in the area. You should inform the guests of the construction before booking and you should definitely provide discounted rates for the duration of construction.

Quiet getaway in Sidemen

Beautiful location close to the rice terrace. nice, big pool and a zen garden! If you want to enjoy the quiet side of Bali, this is then the place to be. They provide scooters to rent and drivers.

The staff members were extremely sweet and helpful. The outdoor space was beautifully manicured and maintained. It was incredibly serene to relax by the infinity pool with the stunning nature surrounding us.

There were holes, rips, and tears in all the linens and towels. The linens were also badly stained. The lampshades were broken. The furnitures were old and falling apart. Ceiling fan and TV didn't work. The Internet was a bit slow at times. Honestly, I expected better quality and higher standards for the price they charged. They need to upgrade everything mentioned above to justify their price.

The gentleman who managed the place, and the ladies who served in the restaurant, were outstanding in their care and service. Nothing was too much trouble. They had a very nice nature. The accommodation was beautiful (we were in the cottage), with tasteful Balinese decor, a wonderful bed, great bathroom and a lovely sitting area (where we ate at times) on the patio.The pool was oustanding. The atmosphere was quiet and restful. And the view was lovely too. The kind manager also arranged taxis for us with trusted friends...and especially for my daughter, who needed to go shopping at a more distant location.

It’s mainly ran by 2 Balinese woman who literally do everything, cooking, cleaning, receptionist, massage etc.. Very welcoming, friendly and super helpful!

Good value for the price, good location, really nice garden. The room was comfortable,we slept well, just the bathroom was a bit smelly. You can rent scooters and they have laundry service. ( 100K / 35K around 2kg of clothes).

The room was a good size for one traveller

The hotel was close to a busy main road. There was no hot water. It was far from local shops. My scooter broke while I was there and I had to pay. The food menu was limited.
