Exception and relaxation

The place is special. It’s like being in a sort of temple. The bungalows are very confortable. The breakfast is good. And you are not far from the village and the rice fields. We stayed there 3 nights, in family, and it was a real pause. I never slept so much 😁. The staff is very very kind. I totally recommend this place. Sideman is a beautiful place, and our stay in Cilla Uma Ayu was part of the experience.

Works during our stay. But as it was low seasons, it quite normal. We didn’t had inconvenient from the works.

Pretty special place, with the rice paddies within walking distance.

I had a lovely stay in a quiet corner of Sidemen. The rooms are built on former fishing pools, so there's a lot of water and also a nice pool. Good service too, and I had a great Balinese massage. The rice terraces are nearby.

Good location & cheap price & friendly staff.

Very basic accommodation, reminds me of backpackers back in the 80's. Hardly any maintenance or cleaning done here. Basic food.

Charming environment, nice garden, nice views from the apartment. Apartment is a bit basic, e.g., no AC and toilet and shower outside, but this has its own charm (and AC also not needed in this area).

Relaxing place in an exceptional environment and surroundings.

We really enjoyed the swimmingpool and the included breakfast was very tasty. There was a lot of silence at all times.

There were regular problems with hot water. There was very little light inside the room.

Place and host are nice, but really upset about accommodation

When we arrive, we had check-in trouble, they said the room I booked was occupied. So they gave us another room, in which the hot water in shower was a struggle to get. So most of the time I had take ice cold shower.

Beautiful, peaceful, calm.

Very peaceful and relaxing! BEAUTIFUL grounds with the most amazing butterflies and cute ducks. The room was rustic but charming, and the two fans + mosquito net were appreciated. I loved the teak/wooden rocker on the patio and spent most of my time here. Lovely, delicious breakfast. Close to local warungs for lunch and dinner–I walked almost everywhere and felt very safe. The staff were also very accommodating and kind.

Unfortunately both the pool and restaurant (except for breakfast) were shut and I didn't find out until I after arrived. It's quite a rural area, so I felt a little stuck. It may have been temporary because a festival was happening, but it made the stay less convenient because there was no way to cool down in the hottest part of the day and I had to go find somewhere for lunch and dinner–luckily there were a handful of delicious, lovely restaurants (warungs) nearby.

Beautiful stay surrounded by nature and wonderful staff.

Beautiful wooden huts in the middle of nature surrounded by rice fields, running water and fish ponds. Huge and very comfortable bed with a big net around to keep mosquitos away. Krisna was so lovely and so helpful with anything I needed, he carried my bag up the steps for me and organised a taxi to take me onto Ubud. Breakfast was included and options were good - highly recommend the Balinese cakes! The outdoor bathroom was clean and had shower gel and shampoos provided. There was a big wardrobe, desk and a dressing table for storage. The balcony was beautiful with a lounging chair and lovely pond views.

There was no A/C but there were two huge fans in the room which were powerful enough to cool the room. There are steps down to the property and a lot of uneven walkways - expected in the setting but something to consider for accessibility.

Lovely stay with great staff

The staff were amazing and really helpful with all our issues no matter the time. The room was lovely and spacious with a really nice front porch, and the area was super quiet at night. The property offered various activities at the front desk too!

It was always confusing to understand if the restaurant was open and it sometimes felt like we were being a burden eating there as the same people who run the restaurant do so many other jobs around the property. We also found that our room was susceptible to critters getting in, including a rather large gecko🦎

The two story house needs some maintenance. Water was leaking from the ceiling in the toilet in the ground floor room. No reading lamps in the two rooms.

The location is nice, the places is being cleaned everyday. Its quite a large area. Perfect for any trips in the sideman area. The hosts where really helpfull.

Fantastic !!! The place looks like paradise ! Quiet, only sounds from water and animals, a wonderful vegetation. I never met a staff so kind and helpful. Rooms are big enough and clean, terrace very nice. Varied breakfast every morning.

great budget option for sidemen stay

the staff here are so lovely and do everything possible to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. our first night we were in the “concrete room” that’s mentioned in another review, and agree that it was really hot and very difficult to sleep in. the staff kindly moved us into one of the huts that became available and our stay from that point onwards was an entirely different experience, very comfortable. the surrounding scenery here is lovely as well, and it’s nice to have a pool to relax at through the day

Pretty little apartments close to sideman

Great ponds surrounding the apartments. Cute little apartments. Staff were great!

Strange layout, sockets for the fan and phone chargers were far from the bed. Strange stale smell in the room. Mosquito net was too small, impossible to get it closed around the double bed - not stretchy material either. Pool smells of chemicals which is a shame as it’s really pretty.

This place was so great! The breakfast was great as they asked you for your order the night before so it was ready in the morning. Ketut was so great he helped us with everything from laundry, motorbike rental, and the millions of other questions we had. Overall, this place was really great!!

Since its a villa, there were large gaps in the walls so we constantly had bugs and lizards in our room but nothing too bad!!

Garden paradise on the rice fields of Sidemen.

Exceptional service, very private setting in a beautiful garden with a pool and only 4 bungalows so never crowded. Katut and Agung at the reception are so nice and helpful, they accomodated us really well.

Most relaxing place

The staff was incredibly helpful and forthcoming. In the beginning, we worried that the many ponds would be a breeding place for mosquitos … turns out: the fish cultivated in them eat all the larvae! Also, it is situated away from the very crowded area where all the other resorts are crammed together. Overall, it was one of the most relaxing places during our stay on Bali.

perfect little get away

The entire staff was so extremely kind and welcoming! The place was so far away from tourism that it was an extremely calm stay. The houses are not close to each other which gives the feeling of being all alone. The pool area is nice as well, so was the food.

The shower could use a little upgrade. The curtains could be a bit bigger/less see through

Best place you can find!

This is the best accomodation we had all over Asia. The cottages and the garden is so nice, perfect clean and well maintained. The owner is always present, helpful, friendlyand servs nice food whenever you want. Thank you very much! We will come back!

Excellent service!!

From the moment we arrived, everything was exceptional. The rooms were nice and clean and had a lovely view of the jungle and the pool. However, I’d have to say that the service is what stood out. Gusti and his team were so accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed, whether it was if we wanted our breakfast at the restaurant or in our rooms, or if we needed any transportation to wherever we wanted to go. They went above and beyond, personally driving us to any destination. Would definitely come again and recommend to anyone who wants a calming and relaxing holiday!!
