Mixed experience. Improvements needed.

The room had good air conditioning and a nice view (even though it faces the road). The bed was comfortable, and the location was convenient. The girl that checked my in was polite and very kind to explain me everything.

Agree with other reviews: the bathroom was also very humid (I know Bali is humid) with poor ventilation, and the room had very few power sockets. In addition, I had a very bad experience with the hotel’s driver (flyer Good Day with Gede displayed inside the hotel). The driver assigned to me didn’t speak English, didn’t know the roads, had a broken phone (no Google Maps), started the trip no fuel and went in fuel reserve in a remote area, and was texting and taking videos while driving. We almost got stuck on a bad road and I had to cancel the tour for my safety. I paid 750K IDR for this disservice and at least they apologised. However strangely they also asked me to not leave a bad review about the hotel, but since this service is provided through the hotel, they should take responsibility.

Nice place in a noisy location

Very good pancakes for breakfast served with fresh fruit and abundant coffee. The room is big and nice and the spaces are clean and well maintained. Staff was also nice with us.

I know it’s not their fault but the road right under the balcony is so noisy, prepare yourself to be woken up at 6am (unless you’re not a really hard sleeper). I would give a better rate but really we weren’t able to have any good sleep during our stay.

The staff were very friendly, room was spacious and clean, breakfast was simple but delicious. It was very evident that the owners of Kawi Homestay value their guests. Exceptional value for money.

A nice place to stay

There are few good restaurants in the area. Room was spacious and I especially enjoyed the huge shared terrace with great view over rice fields. You can even see Agung from here!

There was a very bad and strong smell in the bathroom. In the morning there was lot of noise from the road so it was hard to sleep.

Lovely guesthouse

The balcony was very nice with great view. The room was spacious and clean. There was a delicious breakfast with pancakes, omelets, fruits and hot drinks.

We could hear the noise of the road because the door was a beautiful wooden door but not isolated at all. It was difficult to close the door with the locker. There was a large desk but there is no electric plug nearby. A little bit far from the restaurants (10 minutes walking minimum).

a beautiful Mountain View homestay

a great location, great prices for bike rental (130k), laundry was 25k which was average in Sidemen, a lovely breakfast and the nicest hosts. we had free water too and they helped us get a taxi when leaving as grab was not available. honestly one of the best places we have stayed and it was so cheap.

Beautiful view and hosts

The staff was purely amazing. So great with breakfast and responsive to anything we needed. The art in their space is beautiful. The view looking out to the rice field and mountains is great. Breakfast was good!

When we were the only guest it was more comfortable since there is no divider and the people next door ended up in front of our window early in the morning very loud. Not much the hosts can do but something to note if they are busy.

Super séjour à sedimen

Super séjour de deux jours à sidemen , chambre super propre ,le lit est confortable , et le plus la Clim dans la chambre c’est vraiment agréable . À proximité il y a des restaurant pour pas très chère, des spa , des locations de scooter et possible de réserver un taxi local , car Grab ne fonctionne pas à sidemen . La terrace rice , est à 20 min à pied et le yellow bridge a 30 min à pied . Personnel très gentil et souriant, le petit déjeuner et simple mais très bon surtout les pancakes à la banane . Une fontaine à eau ( machine filtrer est a disposition) c’est top pour remplir sa gourde . Super hôtel pour ce reposer et profitez des rizières.

L’insonorisation, comme partout à Bali , si vous voulez sauver votre sommeil pendant vos vacances à Bali pensez au bouchon d’oreilles et masque de nuit , car la chambre donne direct sur une route où vous pourrez profiter des scooter et des chiens qui aboie toute la nuit 🤣🤣🤣

Ein Zuhause am anderen Ende der Welt

In meiner mittlerweile etwa einmonatigen Indonesien Reise mit mehreren Stationen kann ich sagen, dass mein Aufenthalt in Sidemen definitiv der oder einer der besten gewesen ist. Ich habe insgesamt zwei Mal verlängert und bin nur schweren Herzens abgereist. Die Unterkunft ist sehe zentral in Sidemen und bietet ein großes Zimmer inkl. TV mit Streaming und einem fantastischen Frühstück. Die Familie ist super nett und ich habe mich in ihrem Homestay selbst wie zu Hause gefühlt.

Die typischen Bali Probleme mit wenig Wasserdruck und einem streng riechenden Bad bzw. Abfluss. Auch sind die Türen nicht ganz dicht wodurch es lauter werden kann, ist aber normal auf der Insel.

Parfait pied à terre pour découvrir Sidemen!

Excellent accueil, toujours un mot gentil et une attention particulière! Le petit déjeuner est excellent et leur service de laundry est au top! La chambre était spacieuse, propre, avec tous les équipement nécessaires, ainsi que la salle de bain qui avait de l’eau chaude.

Ce qui n’était pas signalé et qui ne nous a pas spécialement posé problème est que l’extérieur de la chambre, la petite terrasse est commune avec deux autres chambres et donnent directement sur la route.

Une vraie déception

L’emplacement de cet établissement est bon, proche de tout à Sidemen. La chambre en elle-même est jolie, décorée avec goût. La bâtisse est aussi très belle. Malheureusement, le tout manque cruellement d’entretien.

L’entretien global laisse à désirer. La chambre est correctement nettoyée mais la salle de bain, ce n’est pas le cas. Il y a des odeurs horribles dans la salle de bain (pas seulement l’humidité habituelle de Bali). L’établissement est beau mais rien n’est rangé. Dès l’entrée dans le Homestay, la réception, la salle de petit déjeuner et les espaces commun ne donnent pas très envie. Il y en a partout, rien n’est rangé ni nettoyé. Le personnel ne s’est pas montré très souriant et disponible. L’emplacement est très bruyant, vous avez l’impression de dormir avec des camions et des chiens dans votre chambre.

Wir waren nur zwei Nächte in der Unterkunft. Grundsätzlich ist das Schlafzimmer sehr schön, jedoch ist das Badezimmer so unglaublich dreckig. Am Abfluss waren schon schwarze Würmer. Es hat unglaublich dolle gestunken. Es war sehr unangenehm. Teilweise ist das Wasser nicht mehr aus der Leitung gekommen. Man konnte sich dann nicht die Hände waschen, es war unglaublich Laut. Viele Roller und Autos die man die ganze Nacht hörte. Gegenüber der Unterkunft waren Bauarbeiten, die ganze Nacht lang würde dort extremer Lärm gemacht. Ich konnte nicht schlafen. Insgesamt kein schöner Aufenthalt. Die Unterkunft sollte dringend an der Hygiene des Badezimmers arbeiten.
