Nice clean room with outside table to sit. Wayan was an amazing host. We loved the weaving class and offerings she let us participate in. It was a great opportunity to learn more about Hinduism and Sidemen village.

Feel at home at the opposite side of the world

Our stay was amazing. We immediately felt at home, thanks to the kindness of the family. The service was great, the view was beautiful, and the food was delicious. We really enjoyed the rice terrace tour that our host organized for us, and the massage was honestly the best we’ve ever had. Our only regret is staying just one night. This place is truly special and we warmly recommend it to anyone visiting.

Budget friendly stay with the kindest homestay family!

Budget-friendly stay in the centre of Sidemen with a kind and welcoming family of hosts! Room is spacious and as seen in the photos. The lady who runs the homestay is so friendly ❤️

The bathroom has a very bad smell because the floor tiles have ridges in them where water sits, so the water can never properly drain / floor never dries.

A lovely stay!

Wayan was so welcoming, always ready to help or give recs and the rooms were lovely. Food was good and the complementary breakfast offered different options. When I checked out I had a problem with my credit card but Wayan was so patient and we found a solution together. Lovely stay, I would definitely recommend!

Pleasant stay!

Wayan - the lady owner was extremely helpful and attentive, providing trip/excursion information & arranging our onward transport to another destination. Our rooms were new (<9 months old), so was clean, with comfortable beds.

The location provided by Booking.com was way off by some 300 or 400m from the exact location! It was much nearer (<100m) to the Y-junction leading to the rice terraces (trekking circuit).

The host Wayan is the most incredible person. She is the sweetest and most careful person i know! The accomodation was also very nice and clean. I would recommend this to everyone!!

Wonderful home stay in authentic Sidemen

This was such a lovely home stay in Sidemen. I booked the Double Room with Mountain View and it was wonderful. The room is upstairs (there’s only 2 rooms upstairs) and you have your own little private porch area. The room itself was really nice and clean. I had breakfast on the porch every morning. Wayan was a great host— so kind and friendly and went out of her way to get me set up with whatever I needed. I booked the River rafting through the home stay and also the rice terrace walk and both were very good. I’ve been traveling Asia for six months and this was one of my favorite stays. 10/10!

I had a wonderful stay at this place. My room was beautiful with a mountain view, very clean, spacious and with a really good smell. There are nice activities to choose from (rice field trekking, weaving etc.) Great breakfast and dinner! Wayan is such a lovely, warm and friendly person. She and her family made me feel so welcome and were super helpful.

Beautiful views, great hospitality, and great value for money

Pros: Clean, spacious room with large super modern bathroom. Hot powerful shower, exceptional breakfast, great location for exploring the area as close to Side Rice terraces and lots of Run by the beautiful Waran - nothing was too much trouble. She arranged our tours for white water rafting, she gave my 10 year old daughter a cooking class which she enjoyed.

Cons: furniture to tidy clothes and teas and coffees with kettle but I enjoyed the simplicity of the lodge. Can probably cover everything in 2-3days and you’ll need a scooter if you want to explore further. ATM is far so bring cash with you although Waran will enable you to pay by card +3% charge.

Perfectly wholesome homestay.

We stayed on the second floor with mountain view. The room was great, had all the amenities, good AC, clean. The host was especially friendly and nice. I strongly recommend staying here. Talking to her we learn a lot about the life in Sidemen.

Such a special time

Really felt so lucky to stay at Dika homestay, was made super comfortable straight away by Wayan. The location was great, breakfast was tasty and I had a stunning view of sidemen from my breakfast table. The room was clean and modern, I had my best night sleeps here. The whole family were so kind and helped organise laundry,ricefield walk, waterfalls & boat transfer for the next part of my trip. Would highly recommend.

Such a kind host

Really helpful and friendly host. You can also book great activities from the homestay. We recommend the rice field trek. We were there on full moon and she also gave us sarongs to go to see the ceremony at the temple. Good for meeting other guests too.

Dika’s and her family are lovely, prepared to go above and beyond for their guests. Everything was comfortable and welcoming. breakfast was great and Dika cooked me some Tempe for dinner even though it wasn’t on the menu. for the price and comfort, worth a stay.

Great, peaceful stay

- It’s in a really peaceful, quiet area - Lovely decor and very clean - Very good Wi-Fi - The family are super friendly and helpful, who like to talk to the guests and make sure they’re ok - Nice breakfast of pancake, juice and tea (some fresh fruit would be great too though) - Lots of cats! :) - Activities and rentals available through the hostel - Fan in bedroom keeps it nice and cool - Lots of storage space (somewhere lockable would be nice)

- The bathroom was really smelly - I think it was coming from the drains, so nothing they can really do about it. Might be worth putting an air freshener or something in there though - I had hot water for the shower for 3 minutes the first night and then never again. This is pretty common in Bali though, so not a big problem

Feels like home!

I had a wonderful stay at Dika Homestay. Wayan is the most lovely host and will make you feel right at home. The room was also very comfortable with its own little terrace. The breakfast was delicious and if you like, you can also order dinner or lunch with Wayan. She also has scooter rental, can help you with various tours or transfer and she has her own weaving and cooking classes. I did the cooking class which was amazing! We went to the market together and made some local dishes which were sooo good! Also ask her about the little souvenirs which she is selling and made herself!

The perfect stay with the most lovely family! If you want to experience Balinese culture, come here

This is the best place we have ever stayed in! Wayan is a fantastic host, and you'll feel at home from the very first second when you're greeted with a hot welcome drink and fresh fruits from the family's garden. The room, bathroom (and particularly the floor, haha) are the cleanest I've seen during all my travels in Southeast Asia, and the towels and bed linen smell great. Every day we got offered drinks and fresh fruit. On top, you can also order Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner for a small amount of money. During our stay, we were able to do a traditional weaving class as well as a Balinese cooking class (including Appetizer, Main course, Dessert, vegan options, a fresh coconut per person, + fresh fruit) with Wayan, who is also an amazing cook. Living so closely with a Balinese family was nice, and Wayan and her children are incredibly lovely. We also had the chance to visit her family-owned rice patty and meet her friends there, as well as learning more about the difference between a Bali vs. a Lombok chilli, see fresh peanuts growing, and so on. Moreover, whatever question you have or whatever help is needed, Wayan will do her absolute best to support you. On top of that, Sidemen is our absolute favourite place in Bali, with so many colours of green, extensive ricefields, the view of Mount Agung, incredibly friendly people and a bit more peace compared to Bali's touristic areas (f.e. Ubud).

Great value homestay with friendly family

Wayan and her family are extremely welcoming and friendly. Their incredible warmth and hospitality made our stay a fantastic, fun and memorable one. The room was clean and comfortable and had a lovely private terrace. The food was tasty. We were kindly invited to join Wayan and her family to celebrate the festival of Galungan. This included a family dinner and visits to wonderful temples. In the lead up to the festival we watched the family make Balinese dishes and decorations for the festival. We were also able to rent a scooter from Wayan and learn about traditional weaving. We liked our first visit so much we booked a return visit and I would definitely stay again. Thank you Wayan and family for making us feel like a part of the family!

Sidemen best homestay

Dika homestay had been recommended to us through other travellers and what a great choice we made to go there ! Wayan and her family gave us a very warm welcome and were extremely nice with us during our stay. The room is spacious and was very clean. Also well located on foot or on bike, you can visit Sidemen surroundings perfectly. We mostly ate at Dika homestay, and had very good food for reasonable prices. You can also rent a motobike there and they provides other services. Wayan also do weaving herself and give weaving class among others.We got an excellent massage as well at a fair price. Thanks again Wayan, we will see you again !
