Made Putu homestay

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour chez Made et Putu. Le logement est simple, propre et très confortable dans le cadre chaleureux de leur foyer. Made nous a guidés à travers rizières, cascades et temples avec beaucoup d'énergie et de bienveillance, en ayant à cœur de nous faire découvrir sa culture. Nous gardons un excellent souvenir de notre séjour chez Made et Putu et de leur gentillesse...

What a wonderful experience. Been coming to Bali for 25 years and this was a stand out stay. Made and Putu are incredible hosts. Putu cooks the most delicious food and always there was an extra treat. Made took us on a lovely rice paddy walk. The homestay is set right back on a reasonably quiet road which we felt comfortable walking along. There are several nice restaurants/ warung within a few minutes walk if you want to go out and if you rent a motorbike like we did you can venture further up the mountain road without contending with much traffic. The room is very spacious and super clean, large bathroom with a very good shower. WiFi is strong. Garden is delightful. Next door is a silver smith where we made a very professional looking ring. Fun and again kind, warm and welcoming hosts. Made plays a great gamelan which he shared with us one morning as we had a Bali kopi and fresh juice. We were treated so kindly it was hard to leave.

The homestay is well located in Sidemen, in a pleasant and quiet setting. The room is spacious, and the breakfast served was of good quality.

I do not recommend organizing your transfers with the homestay. After our stay in Sidemen, we wanted to go to Nusa Lembongan. The host offered to arrange the transfer, and we chose to trust him, which we unfortunately regretted afterward. He assured us that a ferry left Kusamba at 9 a.m. to avoid the waves and therefore advised a departure from the homestay at 7:30 a.m. Once we arrived at the port, we learned that the ferry actually only left at 10:30 a.m., and the sea conditions were rougher. So, we had to wait for 2.5 hours for the departure. Another unpleasant surprise: the ferry did not go directly to Nusa Lembongan but to Nusa Ceningan. We then had to take a bus and walk to reach our final destination. On top of that, the transportation fare between the homestay and the port was significantly higher — 100,000 rupiah more than the price offered through the Grab app. Therefore, I recommend being cautious about the services offered by the homestay. Finally, regarding the room, there was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom as well as a high humidity level.
