La chambre est belle, propre et spacieuse.
L’emplacement est idéal au centre de Sidemen avec tous les commerces à proximité.
Le couple qui a nous a hébergé a été très gentil et présent. Le petit déjeuner est compris, nous avons pu leur louer un scooter et faire laver du linge. Enfin ils nous ont conduit à notre prochaine destination.
Pensez à prendre des boules quies pour les coqs qui peuvent faire du bruit la nuit.

Made and Putu are wonderful hosts. The room is large, has air conditioning, and is very quiet. The location is excellent, about a 10 minute walk to some nice restaurants with views. Made and Putu are a great help with whatever you want to do in and around Sidemen. Made drove me to Besakih Temple and Putu gave me some clothes to wear so I would look like a Balinese woman rather than a tourist. During my stay, a wedding was taking place at the neighbours. Made & Putu were invited and they asked if I wanted to go to the ceremony with them. What a wonderful experience for me! They are kind, generous people. I highly recommend staying with them!

Die Gastgeber sind absolut nett und herzlich – sie behandeln Gäste wie Familienmitglieder, nicht wie Touristen. Nachmittags gab’s fast immer (kostenlosen) Tee oder Kaffee, und der Abschied war besonders warmherzig, obwohl sie höflich um eine positive Bewertung baten. Aufgrund dieser Freundlichkeit, der hellen, großen und neuen Zimmer mit Blick in einen grünen Garten sowie dem leckeren Essen würde ich jederzeit wiederkommen.
Die Lage ist top: Kein Lärm, nicht direkt an der Hauptstraße, alles fußläufig erreichbar – ideal für Wanderer wie mich. Ich brauchte keinen Roller und buchte nicht die Tour vom Gastgeber für 650.000 Rupien. Beim Frühstück gibt’s 4 wählbare Optionen. Mittag oder Abendessen sind im Frühstücksbereich optional zu günstigen Preisen zu haben und unglaublich lecker.
Mein Zimmer-Nachbar genoss üppige Frühstücksportionen – bei mir war’s eher solide, aber dennoch sättigend. Aber ich habe hingegen auch keine Touren gebucht und bekam trotzdem das, was ich über Booking.com gebucht habe.
Kleinere Kritikpunkte: Beim ersten Betreten wollte ich nach langer Anreise etwas bestellen, doch der Gastgeber nahm mir das Menü aus der Hand, um sich vorzustellen – etwas aufdringlich, da ich nur essen wollte. Er starrte mich beim Wählen an, fragte direkt nach meinen Plänen für morgen und bot mir Touren an (die gleiche Tour gab’s meinem Nachbarn günstiger), obwohl ich wie gesagt nur essen wollte. Aufdringlichkeit wird offenbar in Bali anders wahrgenommen, weil mir das inzwischen öfter passiert ist - aber hier eher harmlos und nur am ersten Tag – danach war’s entspannt. WiFi fiel einen Tag aus, was für digitale Nomads störend sein kann. Morgens kräht ein Hahn im Garten, der aber überhaupt nicht stört.

The homestay is well located in Sidemen, in a pleasant and quiet setting. The room is spacious, and the breakfast served was of good quality.
I do not recommend organizing your transfers with the homestay. After our stay in Sidemen, we wanted to go to Nusa Lembongan. The host offered to arrange the transfer, and we chose to trust him, which we unfortunately regretted afterward. He assured us that a ferry left Kusamba at 9 a.m. to avoid the waves and therefore advised a departure from the homestay at 7:30 a.m.
Once we arrived at the port, we learned that the ferry actually only left at 10:30 a.m., and the sea conditions were rougher. So, we had to wait for 2.5 hours for the departure.
Another unpleasant surprise: the ferry did not go directly to Nusa Lembongan but to Nusa Ceningan. We then had to take a bus and walk to reach our final destination.
On top of that, the transportation fare between the homestay and the port was significantly higher — 100,000 rupiah more than the price offered through the Grab app.
Therefore, I recommend being cautious about the services offered by the homestay.
Finally, regarding the room, there was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom as well as a high humidity level.
