Familiar and cozy, perfect for a calm stay.

Very clean and cozy room, the exterior shower was a nice touch. The staff was very friendly and they helped us with everything we needed, including the rental of our motorbike and a recommendation to do a silver class at Pande Silver.

Just a small suggestion for improvement: since the rooms face the outside, it would be great to have a sheer curtain that lets the light in while still providing privacy.

Very pleasant stay!!

Very nice family. The accomodaion is also nice. The open shower is beautifull! Very central in Sidemen, so you have to got a sort of transport, but you can rent a scooter from the host. Gede, the owner, speaks very good english and can tell you a lot about Sidemen. We had a very pleasant stay!!

Chez Bisma is the perfect mix of comfort, authenticity, and warmth. They rented us a scooter at a great price, which made it super easy to move around. The location is ideal, close to everything, yet surrounded by nature, away from the busy tourist spots. If you ever want the “luxury hotel” vibe with rice field views or a pool, you can just pop into one of them for a drink, but nothing compares to the quality and atmosphere at Chez Bisma. The hosts went above and beyond, helping us arrange all our transport, even the ferry to our next stop. The breakfast is delicious, and their dinners were honestly the best food we had in Indonesia: homemade, flavorful, and at an amazing price. The kindness, attention, and personal touch here make it truly special. 100% recommended, we would come back without hesitation!

Warm Welcome and Authentic Experience

We stayed for 2 nights and immediately felt at home thanks to the warm and welcoming family who runs the place. In addition to the comfort of the accommodation, we joined a fun cooking class, enjoyed the massage service and the laundry. A truly authentic and heartwarming experience that we highly recommend to anyone visiting Sidemen.

Hosts were friendly and helpful. They made something off the menu for us because we were vegetarians.

The location was a bit far off from the main market. So it is better to rent a scooter. The good thing is that scooter/scoopy is available for rent from the owner

Pleasant

Brand new rooms, in a nice garden. The owner speaks very well French.

The accomodation is great but is very expensive : not a good quality/Price ratio The main problem is that it is located a little bit far of points of interest... So you must hire a driver (Grab is not proposing anything hee) : the family proposes to do it, but a high prices... compared to other places we were in Bali. And the main thing we did not like : we asked fo a car to bring us to Padangbai the last day.. The price proposed was 250000 IDR (both m'y wife and I understood this price), but once we were all in the car (a family of 5) with the luggages, the driver told us 350000 IDR, not negotiable ("we don't move !" Very rude). When we complainted to the family, they told us it was Indeed 350000 IDR. What ?!!!! This is not correct not to accept the fault, really.

Lovely room and a beautiful indoor/outdoor bathroom. The shower was amazing and had fabulous views of the 'jungle'. The delightful host family members were so kind and friendly. Breakfast was included and other delicious meals were available.

I had a wonderful stay at Chez Bisma. The family was so wonderful, kind and accommodating of my needs. The rooms were incredibly clean and comfortable, they cooked for me and even offered me to teach me how to ride a motorbike! I highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for some peace and quiet. The location is also great - local Warungs are just a few minutes away, and it is located close to the Gembleng waterfall.

Genuine Balinese life experience

Piece of paradise! I wish we could have stayed longer with this lovely family, Gede and Bisma, together with their 4 children. From the first minute to the very last one, we have felt the warmth of their friendship, their generous sharing of the Balinese culture, their skills in cooking genuine, bio, tasty cuisine and their proudness of having built with their own hands a comfy, traditional though stylish and clean homestay. The place is quiet, far away from the nightlife, but close to nature, jungle, rice fields and the massive Agung volcano. WiFi works well, there is no A/C as it's already cool in the night, there is no need for a wake up alarm as the chickens will do the job! Gede is a recognised french guide, offers tours around the island as well as a wood lathe workshop allowing to make our own teak bowl. Thank you all!

Very very poor cleaning. First thing I did when moving in was cleaning the floor myself with a wet towel. You practically live with a family with four young children, so no privacy

Cozy homestay in the Sidemen countryside

Stayed at this wonderful homestay for three nights. They opened just before the start of the pandemic, so everything is still brand new. Spacious, beautifully furnished room, comfortable beds and outdoors bathroom with jungle views. The surrounding countryside is incredible. Very nice host family, too. Go ahead and book it already!

The room was very nice and had a mosquito net, so we felt comfortable and secure there. The owners were very friendly and luckily arranged us a scooter. It was also very nice to talk to them in the evening over dinner (very good and reasonably priced!) and to get to know the Indonesian culture better.

Unfortunately the property is a little remote so you need a scooter/car or driver to get there and especially to leave again.

Superb

The family was really kind and friendly. They even gave us their family scooter because all the other ones were rented out. They also provide breakfast lunch and dinner after your request and cook it fresh for you. The outdoor shower was the highlight of the room and it was an amazing experience to shower in the middle of the jungle. No AC in the room but it was not that hot in the mountains anyways so it did not bother us at all. I would definitely recommend to stay here for at least a night.

The location is not Ideal, as it is not in Sidemen itself and also not near to any restaurants. But with a scooter everything is nearby;) Also some neighbors chickens kept us awake during the night which was obviously not the owners fault but it was quite annoying.
