Our stay at Anantalla Homestay was wonderful.
The shower was excellent—even with a small heat tank, it was never an issue since I turn the water off while soaping. The bed was very comfortable, and the internet access was reliable.
The room itself was spotless, super new, and beautifully furnished. Everything you could need was provided: big fluffy pillows, fresh clean towels, water, and coffee/tea.
Breakfast was a highlight—traditional Indonesian cakes and fresh fruit, served right to our room.
The family who runs the homestay welcomed us warmly. They were waiting with umbrellas to escort us to our rooms when we arrived, and they kindly shared information about rafting packages and local places to eat.
Thoughtful touches stood out, like earplugs at the bedside. While there was some music from a nearby bar, it stopped a little after 10 pm, and after that the only sounds were crickets.
And the view… absolutely breathtaking.
Overall, Anantalla Homestay combined comfort, hospitality, and charm in a way that made our stay truly memorable.

Anantalla Homestay is a fabulous homestay with the kindest hosts, Gusti and Giro. The accommodation is new and modern. They provide a beautiful complimentary breakfast consisting of fruit and Indonesian cakes each morning delivered direct to the room. Tea and coffee making facilities are in the room which was a lovely added touch.
The homestay is close to a few restaurants, spas and minimarts all within walking distance. The family helped me organise trips which was most appreciated as a solo traveller. Gusti gave me a tour of Sidemen on his scooter and his brother in law Wayan took me for a day trip to see Lempuyang, Lahangan Sweet and Tirta Ganga; nothing was too much trouble.
I’d highly recommend this beautiful homestay to other travellers.

Absolutely gorgeous home stay, with a lovely family. They were so friendly and had lots of options terms of tours, scooter rental, transport & laundry. The room was so clean and comfortable with a great shower and lovely balcony with a great view. A generous breakfast also! 10/10 recommend and would stay again!

Excellent service. Very friendly and kind hosts. They were available to help us with anything we could need.
They helped us carry the luggage upstairs and also, we needed a fridge, so they helped us by keeping our stuff in their fridge.
The view is lovely and the location is quite central if you want to go to the rice paddies or tracking or to restaurants.

I have been traveling extensively throughout Bali / Indonesia for 30 years. This family homestay is the outstanding. The hosts Gusti and his wife Garo are wonderful people. The property is brand new, modern and spotlessly clean. The rooms are lovely, with a panoramic view into the valley and rice fields. The property is located within the main street in the centre of Sidemen village in easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. My 3 friends and I took all 3 rooms for 5 nights. The hosts Gusti and Garo made us feel like we were part of their family. We did not want to leave. They will assist you with local knowledge and advice and organise everything you might need from motor bike rental, tours, dining and transport. We have been to Sidemen many times and will definitely be staying at Anantalla Homestay for our future visits.

Really friendly family. Amazing views. Beautiful room.

Central location with many restaurants around and a great view from the balcony over the valley of Sidemen. Spotlessly clean room with very kind and welcoming hosts. Officially there is no breakfast available but they provide some fruits and Balinese cakes for free (which could easily be charged for given quality and quantity as well as the already affordable price of the room)
Very noisy due to traffic as the building lies at the intersection of two main roads, which makes it hard to really relax if that’s what you’re looking for. Difficult for a longer stay but acceptable for a few days. During the night it’s more quiet but around 05:00 there is also the mosque next to the building calling for prayer.

- everything is brand new so the bed is super comfortable, AC works well.
-staff is incredibly kind and responsive on WhatsApp. We had a crying kid in the room next to us and they moved us immediately.
- centrally located with a nice view out the windows of the room
-bathroom was very modern
- there is some street traffic noise and a mosque next door that doesn’t play often, but it’s loud when it does.
- shower is beautiful but hot water only lasts for 2-3 minutes in both rooms we stayed in.
- bike rental and transportation through the homestay were more expensive than the going rate. I’d recommend booking elsewhere.
- breakfast is just some sweets, no hot food if that’s what you’re looking for.

I stayed at Anantalla Homestay for a few slow days in Sidemen and genuinely didn’t want to leave. Gusti, the host, is one of the kindest and most attentive people I’ve met while traveling. He gave me scooter rides around the village, helped me get wherever I needed to go, and made sure I felt completely looked after. He and his wife also surprised me with homemade Indonesian cakes and local treats, which was such a generous and thoughtful touch.
The homestay itself is spotless, peaceful, and surrounded by lush greenery. The bed is huge and incredibly comfortable, and the views across the Sidemen valley are breathtaking. Each morning I woke up to misty rice terraces and the sound of birds and flowing water. It felt like a peaceful retreat without being cut off from anything.
The location is perfect too. You’re within walking distance of four really lovely cafes and restaurants, each with great food, coffee, and views. Whether you want a quiet breakfast or a scenic dinner, everything is nearby and easily accessible on foot.
If you’re looking for somewhere to slow down, feel truly cared for, and enjoy the beauty and warmth of rural Bali, this is the place. I can’t recommend it enough.
