The homestay is right in the middle of Sidemen so it’s close to everything, the hosts were lovely and accommodating and the room was clean with great facilities. We received towels, shampoo, body wash and even spare toothbrushes! We stayed in one of the top cabins and had a great view of the mountain (catch it early in the morning) and a little bench to sit at in the evenings.
The only little issue is the proximity to the main road which can get noise early in the morning, but the accommodation provides ear plugs if you could bring your own and problem solved

Beautiful location and amazing views

The place was very clean and had an amazing view of Mt. Agung. The staff were friendly and helpful, and it was convenient that they offered scooter rentals (80,000 IDR per day for a small one).
However, there were quite a few downsides. There was almost no hot water, and the noise from the nearby road made it hard to relax. The laundry service was very expensive (25,000 IDR per kilo), and we weren’t allowed to hang our wet clothes on the terrace — even though the clothes we got back were still damp, and some even smelled bad. The Wi-Fi connection was really poor, and there was a slight smell in the room.
