The view

This is the first time I've had to give a bad review. This hotel has no reception, and communication here is incredibly difficult. I don't even know the owner. He only communicated with me via WhatsApp and called me "sis/bro," which I found very odd. The women who work here speak terrible English, which makes things very difficult for me. The room wasn't cleaned once, and the trash can in the bathroom is overflowing. The bed is far too warm with a thick down comforter (without a cover) – just the bare duvet, like the kind I use in Germany during the cold winter. It's also incredibly noisy here because it's right on the main road at a bend in the road; I didn't get a good night's sleep at all. And the Wi-Fi is terrible here. Even when I brought it up, they weren't really helpful. I was given the password for a bad Wi-Fi network, but they wouldn't give me the password for the one with a better signal. I definitely wouldn't recommend it, even though the view from the room is breathtaking.

Great view for a good price!

The view from the room is amazing, really special on the rice fields. Also the location is good, right next to the center on Sidemen, with good restaurants near by. Very clean and comfortable beds, big bathroom with shampoo and shower gel available. Hot shower. Staff is really nice, we had a problem with one of the services offered and they were very helpful and caring.

Really close to the main road, so it is a bit noisy. A bit a pity that there is no breakfast or food available in the structure, considering how beautiful is the balcony.

Room very well equipped with a beautiful view

This is one of the most beautiful places I've stayed in Bali. The ricefields' view from the room is stunning! Also, the room is very spacious and spotless, plus there is kettle, coffee, bottle of water, and hairdryer in the room. Table and chairs on the terrace.

But...I'm sorry to say that the room was smelling of mold quite badly...even if there was no trace of it. Also it is right in front of a very noisy road.

Overall, beautiful view and nice people, but the facilities and comfort could be much better.

The place was very clean and had an amazing view of Mt. Agung. The staff were friendly and helpful, and it was convenient that they offered scooter rentals (80,000 IDR per day for a small one).

However, there were quite a few downsides. There was almost no hot water, and the noise from the nearby road made it hard to relax. The laundry service was very expensive (25,000 IDR per kilo), and we weren’t allowed to hang our wet clothes on the terrace — even though the clothes we got back were still damp, and some even smelled bad. The Wi-Fi connection was really poor, and there was a slight smell in the room.

Great homestay but scooter rental problems...

Great room & bathroom, nice smart tv in the room. Hosts were very friendly. Beautiful views of Mt Agung in the morning for a coffee on the deck.

We rented scooters on site for 2 days and paid upfront. On the last night at 6.30pm, they asked for the keys back, I explained that we had dinner booked and needed to drive there but she still asked for the keys. We had to cancel our dinner reservations because we had no scooter to get there. It's a shame, I would've given a 10 if it wasn't for this.

Lovely stay

The rooms up the top are really nice and great value for money! The beds are VERY comfortable and the bathroom is also nice. Amazing view too! The staff are lovely and were very helpful when it came to laundry and taxi services. Overall a great stay.

The place was neat, the staff was friendly and the view was amazing! We had the room/bungalow on the third floor with beautiful view over the rice terraces. The rocks in the shower were a cool touch.

Beautiful Stay

I had an amazing stay at Giri Swari, the view is amazing! The room is comfortable and large and the staff are amazing, so helpful and kind, I highly recommend staying here when in beautiful Sidemen 🤍

Great views but noisy due to location.

The views over rice fields and up to the mountain and the proximity to the rice filed walls and tow were very good. Room was new and had everything we needed. Bathroom was large and clean , bed very comfortable.

Main issue is it is located on a corner and day and night motorbikes, cars and trucks hoot as they go around the corner- this goes from early morning to late at night. Room was up flights of stairs so kept good if you have mobility issues. Chairs on the deck need cushions as they are hard to sit on.

The view!

The VIEW!! we couldn’t get over how gorgeous the view from our room was! The room was nice and spacious, and we appreciated having outdoor seating too! The staff were all very friendly and we were also able to rent a scooter from there which was so convenient. Location good too, not far from the Sideman rice terrace or some yum restaurants!

Wonderful stay, couldn’t fault it!

We LOVED our stay at Giri Swari! We’ve been travelling for 3 months and it’s one of our highlights so far. We’ve stayed in one of the pods at the top and the view across to the mountain was amazing. The bed was so comfy, the room and bathroom were very clean and the staff were so friendly. We were able to hire a scooter from them too. The surrounding area was lovely too, very close to warungs, we loved each one we went to. Would highly recommend this to anyone! Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

Top View- top accomodation!

Die Zimmer und der Staff sind extrem gut, sehr freundlich, alles total sauber und eine wirklich tolle Unterkunft, ausgestattet mit allem, was man sich wünschen kann. Eine sehr freundliche Gastgeberin und ein Ort zum wohlfühlen! Ari und Cyntia sind extrem freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit! Morgends ein sensationeller Blick auf Mount Agung!

Die Unterkunft liegt direkt an der Straße, die Tag und Nacht von lauten und oft hupenden Autos, Trucks und Mopeds befahren wird, wer damit ein Problem hat, sollte sich vielleicht was anderes suchen.

Das Zimmer ist gross, sauber und schön mit Vorhängen zum Abdunkeln. Der Ausblick von der Terasse auf den Mount Agung amazing!

Das Homestay liegt direkt an der Hauptstrasse in einer Beschleunigungskurve. Ein Gefühl als würde der Verkehr durch das Zimmer fliessen😅Personal verfügt kaum über Englishkenntnisse und die Privatsphäre ist nicht wirklich gegeben. War der einzige Gast (für eine Woche)und man wollte mein Zimmer am liebsten um 8h morgens putzen. Warte nun, obwohl mehrfachen Bittens, seit 4 Tagen auf eine Rechnungsquittung, die nicht kommt. Ärgerlich!

Absolute aanrader! Heerlijk!

Werkelijk alles! Wij sliepen in het houten huisje op het dak. Het uitzicht was echt adembenemend: over de rijstvelden, tegen de Mount Agung vulkaan. Alleen om het uitzicht moet je dit al boeken! Het huisje was heel schoon, er is goede airco, allerlei fijne toiletartikelen en we werden fijn ontvangen. Dichtbij - amper twee minuutjes lopen - goede warungs en restaurants. Er is geen zwembad, maar je kunt naast het hotel bij Nana’s Pool & Bar gebruik maken van het zwembad. Via de homestay zijn activiteiten te boeken en er is een wasservice (hier hebben wij zelf geen gebruik van gemaakt). Wij kunnen alleen maar zeggen: verblijf in deze homestay! Het was ons fijnste verblijf in Bali tot nu toe.

Jammer dat er geen ontbijt is. Sidemen heeft niet veel in de buurt (wat vroeg open gaat) waardoor we ontbijt wel misten.

Prachtig uitzicht en lieve eigenaresse, maar kamer viel tegen.

Schitterende locatie met prachtig uitzicht 🌿 Heel vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaresse 🙏 Na mijn klacht werd er direct actie ondernomen en het beddengoed werd opnieuw schoongemaakt. Ik zag dat een andere kamer veel beter was, dus er zit duidelijk verschil in de kamers.

Sterke rioollucht gemengd met luchtverfrisser in de badkamer. Deurklink beschimmeld. Beddengoed had vlekken en het dekbed had geen hoes (iedereen slaapt dus onder hetzelfde). Ondanks schoonmaken bleef de lucht in de badkamer hangen (ik ben ook wel gevoelig voor geurtjes).

Habitación limpia con buenas vistas

Las vistas a los campos de arroz son muy chulas y la habitación estaba limpia y era espaciosa. Además, disponía de caja fuerte y cerradura con llave en el armario. El alojamiento ofrece un montón de servicios: lavandería, masaje, excursiones, moto, etc. Nosotros alquilamos la moto y muy bien todo.

L’hôtel est très calme, la vue est magnifique. Le bungalow est confortable, la douche est parfaite. C’est très propre ! Des resto autour et un petit market . Les photos paraissent moins bien que la réalité !

Logement bien placé à Sidemen.

L'établissement est très bien situé à Sidemen et les personnes le gérant accueillantes, grâce à elles nous avons pu louer un scooter et laver notre linge (moyennant finance). Il est proche de plusieurs restaurant et des rizières (qui sont magnifiques).

Nous avons dû changer de chambre lors de notre arrivée, la première proposée étant pleine de traces d'humidité et les toilettes cassées... La deuxième chambre proposée était correcte. Attention car aucune des photos ne montre la première... De plus l'isolation n'est pas très bonne nous entendions les voisins et les coqs (bien qu'étant habitués, ceux-ci étaient vraiment proches du logement).

La location de scooter. Elle nous a donné un scooter à la journée, sans essence donc on a dû aller faire le plein dès le début alors qu’on avait une activité. Une petite odeur dans la salle de bain.
