For Students Only Radford Mill in Nottingham

It's a cool place, I would have loved to have a student dorm like this. It was basically an apartment. There are some air-conditioned places to chill (literally) downstairs. There were very few people around because this was during the summer holidays. Easy bus ride to University of Nottingham.

The area is pretty crap, one of the worst parts of Nottingham (but not the absolute worst). But there are some good Indian restaurants nearby (I recommend Cochin Fort). My room was at the top of the building and was terribly hot, with no way to cool it down because there's not aircon in the rooms. They lent me a fan but the windows don't open more than an inch so it's hard to get cool air. If I went back, I would ask for a lower floor.

Reception area was well furnished, air-conditioned and comfortable. Bathroom looks decent. Lots of outlets in room. Bus services, grocery stores and quick bites all within <5 min walking distance.

Ventilation is very poor. Corridors are stuffy and the smell of food and other odors is quite strong. During the summer the room and corridors quickly reach unbearable temperatures, but cannot be easily cooled down as the windows barely open. Upon request management provided a fan which helped somewhat. Kitchen tap and shower head both very leaky. Shower drain was clogged. Loud, constant hum of boiler and minifridge. Provided towels left white fluff everywhere. Bit of a maze to navigate.
