LACK OF SPACIOUS PARKING - IN THE EVENINGS WHEN EVERYONE IS BACK FROM WORK YOU WILL NEED TO PARK ON THE STREET INFRONT OF THE HOUSE WHICH ISN'T A MAJOR PROBLEM.

Comfy and convenient

Location is excellent for my work (<10 minutes away), close to the City Centre. Travelling for work for 1-2 weeks at a time, having the option to prepare my own food is better than relying on takeaway or restaurants. Being able to do my washing mid-trip saves me time when I do get home and means I don't need to being as much for longer trips . Staff are helpful and respond quickly should I have any questions.

Quiet location, small damp room, amazing co-host

Room 1 has a very strong damp smell and from entering the room a fan was already on in winter so I’d suggest that this problem is well known. One of the washing machines was broken and clogged with water, not draining. I left my fast phone charger behind by mistake, went back to collect it but it had been taken. The co-host was very helpful in going to speak to the cleaner but unfortunately it had vanished in hours. They ask for photo ID on arrival but they don’t give clear instructions on how the personal information will be held, stored and or destroyed upon check out.

Perfect for my requirements.

Stayed two nights, one for Beaulieu Motor Museum and the other for the football, so this accommodation perfectly suited a solo traveller on a budget. Great value for money and a fully equipped kitchen meaning I could buy my own food and cook it rather than eating out.

It was a pleasant stay overall

It was a pleasant stay overall. The room was spotlessly clean. The kitchen and shower room were well equipped and spotless. It was good to have a cupboard and room in the fridge freezer The staff were all very pleasant and helpful.

It was a fairly long walk to the nearest bus stop to the university hospital. The room was quite small and hardly anywhere to hang clothes. No wardrobe or chest of drawers.

It was lovely to stay their and I felt safe as their were codes for the bedroom and front door it was also very quiet and clean

Clean room, but very noisy

The room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. Everything looked as shown in the photos, and the staff was friendly. However, the overall experience was affected by the noise. We could hear people in the neighbouring rooms, the floors were creaky, and doors were constantly slamming, especially at night. It was difficult to rest properly because of that. If you're a light sleeper, this might not be the best option. Otherwise, it's a clean and decent place to stay.

Bathroom spacious. Room kind of spacious too. Smart TV. Location alright.

Room stunk of cigarettes, was very stuffy and shower was terrible (no pressure and could only be boiling hot or cold). Plates weren't clean in the kitchen. Front door had to be left open or you couldn't get in the house (happened to us and luckily another guest let us in). Walls very thin.

Good location for ferry terminal

This is a shared house in the centre of Southampton about 10 mins drive to the ferry terminal. The room on the ground floor was large and basically furnished (student type accommodation) but adequate for 1 night. Free Wifi was good (you need to sign up via a QR code). Very tiny bathroom. Under new management who seems keen to improve things.

TV didn't seem to get any reception. The stove top had been cleaned and parts removed so it was not useable. The cleaner could have left at least one burner operational for guests to cook food so I had no breakfast as planned. I had to upload a picture of my driving licence before I could get a key code. Whilst I perhaps understand the need for security, it felt very intrusive for me to give over my own personal data to someone and I have NEVER had to do this before and I travel extensively for work. This was not mentioned when I booked as a condition of stay (or it wasn't made clear).
