I enjoyed my stay

I had a comforable stay at shirley house I have stayed there before. Shirley was is always kept clean and tidy, very well equiped clean and tidy. Monica and her son Oliver are good people that looks after shirley house.

Not a lot really could put on differant duvet covers on the duvets my duvet kept coming out the duver cover a blind on the toilet window the 1 that is in the kitchen to have some privacy when using that toilet. Apart from them likkle things I have no complaints.

I would not recomend to stay here

I want to be fair in my review as house was clean and room was good for one night stay. Bathroom was semi clean but there was another shower room which was very clean. Location is very close to the city centre by car.

This property is not a family home. It's a place where construction workers live. There were group of drunk Russian men swearing, smoking and laughing all the night. We contacted the host to deal with this, and someone came, but it didn't help much, even thought I am grateful they tried. As toilet and bathroom are shared I felt scared to go out as you never know what to expect from drunk group of men. As a result night was ruined as well as weekend itself.

first choice, every time

lovely clean and comfortable place to stay, so handy to be able to cook in the well equipped and superclean kitchen, hosts are great, location is perfect with free parking and in a decent area of the city. I travel to Southampton often for work, and always return here, perfect every time

Really good value for money

Easy to check in to the property, plenty of space in the room and the bed was very comfortable, the shower room was very spacious and clean, very close to local amenity’s

Parking wasn’t the best but it’s not really an issue, we just had to park further up the street

Great value, helpful hosts

Very reasonably priced, clean, had everything you could need for a short notice stay - contact was very responsive, I had a little trouble using the keypad and they picked up the first time I rang to ask for help. Location is fairly close to town, wasn't sure if other guests were staying at the same time as I didn't see any but didn't notice any noise coming from the other rooms or much from outside until the morning.

Everyone was friendly, even the staff was, and very helpful

It was a good place, as you only have to walk like 5 mins then your in town, so then you can get food, or go to the pub I would recommend this place
