Had to move to another hotel to get sleep the next night

twin room very basic, uncomfortable. Was like trying to sleep on top of a wall. Air quality not great and couldnt open window as big works party in next door hotel, so smokers outside drinking

The restaurant wasn’t open on either of our nights. We are elderly and had hoped to eat there for convenience. Nobody cares about us old ones. Obviously they will take our money.

Needs huge renovation. Should not be staying in a mouldy room

Ease of access and location were well. The room was clean and functional. Check in was quick and easy and I found my room easily. Was good options for breakfast

Room was cold, the windows had huge condensation and mould growing on them. It needed a refresh and renovation to the room. I did not rate the hygiene of the room due to this.

Not one I wish to repeat

Location

Despite booking a twin room some weeks before and being called b the hotel and emailed where each time I said we needed a twin upon arrival the receptionist was smiling and saying there wasn’t a twin. I said she had to find one or other accommodation. After about 15 minutes amazingly a twin appeared so I’m sure someone else later on was disappointed. Unacceptable process.

Good location but not value for money

Location was good in terms of where we needed to be. Reception is welcoming and looks clean. The room was clean but basic.

The room was very tired looking. Tap in the bath was covered in red rust - unsightly. Breakfast was chaotic. We had to wait over 30 minutes for the hot buffet to be replenished with veggie options.

Couldn't wait to leave and won't be back. Worst Ibis we have every been in and we've stayed in quite a few.

The downstairs was nice and welcoming and warm and then it went down hill when we reached our room.

Very dated room. Stains on carpet and just looked shabby. No heating in room and it was very cold. We borrowed a radiator but it was still very cold. We were in a disabled room and there just wasn't much room to get around. We had to push the bed across the entrance door so I could get around and into bed. Could do with an update and a rethink of what is suitable for disabled people. Why is there disabled room at the very fast end of the corridor away from the lift???

Worst hotel experience

Location

Faulty Fire alarm woke us up 4 times with no explanation or applogy, we couldnt relax that night as we were worried about being woken up again. Room smelt of stale urine. Car park cost is £12

Location was perfect for our needs.

Upon arrival, we were informed that no double rooms were available, despite our advance booking, and were offered a twin room instead. We later discovered that the twin room consisted of zip-together beds that could have been converted into a double. We were promised a refund for breakfast as compensation, but this was not provided. The room's decor was rather dated and worn, and paper cups were provided instead of glasses. The breakfast offerings were cold, and the food appeared to be dried out, as if it had been kept under heat lamps overnight.

Friendly staff and very convenient location. Easy check-in. Quiet.

The room was really shabby. The carpet was worn and bobbly and had something sticky on it in one place which I walked on barefoot. The bathroom was well-used and really in need of upgrading. The room was very utilitarian; unappealing colours/decor and so not a place I’d have wanted to stay more than one night in.
