Best shower ever had in a hotel! Nice touches like cookies and water on arrival. Good food available. Very clean and well decorated rooms. Fantastic towels.
Slightly not thick enough duvet but personnel preference. Black mould type colouring around the window. For a cheaper stay the food prices were a little high.

It was all I expected except for one issue which did affect my sleep but was more the location of the particular room rather than the hoel
Th room had either a boiler or fan near by which was switching on and of all night every 30 seconds had it been every 10 mins I could have dropped off but ended up counting the seconds in may head for over an hour, in the morning it was every 10-20 seconds so likely was when people were using the hot water.

Restaurant staff were very attentive and polite.
Although food was pricey.. it was good and well presented.
Everywhere was nice and clean.
Parking was good.
We had a terrible experience with front of house/reception. Didn't end up with the wheelchair accessible room booked 8 months before... caused horrific problems, especially for toilet/bathroom.
And the 2 hours spent in reception where staff hadn't a clue what they were doing was frustrating after a long, hard day of travelling with medical problems too.
I immediately got on my phone and cancelled July's booking. Wouldn't risk that again! Reception staff need better training and a much quicker/better response to problems.

It’s just so calm and peaceful
The only thing I think needs to be changed is more milk in the room for tea

Ideal location with bus stop outside made going into Southampton made easy
We did not realise you accepted dogs, it’s a big no no for us, particularly has the in the hotel woke us up early barking. In the evening one of your barmen played with the dog then went back to the bar and continued to pour drinks without washing his hands. Another member of staff sat on the floor playing with the dog, we noticed she was wearing a apron, ? was she a waitress serving food afterwards??

Nicely decorated room. Pleasant staff.
No hot water for a bath or shower.
Unexpected additional fee for parking at the hotel, which is annoying as it’s right next to a dual carriageway so it’s not like you can choose to park on the road. The need to pay an extra £8 to park was not advertised clearly when booking.

Everything. Me and my husband travelled from up north and the bed and pillows were so comfy. It’s right on the motorway so less travel to get out of the city.
I wish parking was free for customers who stay more than one night!

Some staff were great. Forinstance, a young man at the reception desk drew me a little map so I could find a forest walk nearby. The food wasn't bad. A more interesting menu than the norm was appreciated.
This hotel is in the middle of a busy road junction. So one can feel a little hemmed in. Some very poor staff asking residents to relay messages to other staff or being unnecessarily difficult and surly. There's no need. Duty managers are likely to know who these bad apples are and they need to be more on it and hold poor behaviour by staff to account. Some breakfast items were present one day and missing or replaced by inferior items the next. Green bananas, who eats those? If you aren't getting yellow bananas, cancel the order.

Easy and straight foot ward around the building, location was easy to find. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great, staff are polite but do love a long chit chat with customers in which your standing around waiting to be seen to give in room key.
Heater wasn’t working and having a baby makes it difficult to just put up with it, receptionist was helpful with a heater to keep room at a nice warm temperature so the baby wasn’t cold.
The hotel itself was stunning, receptionist was brilliant. I just want to add the uniform looks very to formal for me as person who is quite a casual dresser they need more comfort being on their feet for hours.
Got out room which was the first room you see, it was very loud on the evening/night especially when you have a 10 month old that is disturbed by loud noise. I notice someone must have spilt coffee on the carpet and wall, it wasn’t cleaned and it was all splashes up the skirting board. Facilities for coffee & tea were okay but never enough milk for the drinks.
Didn’t relise there was a parking charge fee, wasn’t much but considering you paying for your stay, eating etc it’s outrageous you have to pay for parking in the hotel.

the room was nice and spacious
I am very disappointed with my recent 3-night stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Southampton, especially given it is advertised as a 4-star hotel.
Basic daily housekeeping standards were not met at any point during my stay. Bins in both the bedroom and bathroom were never emptied, toilet paper was not replenished, sanitary disposal bags were missing, and used tea and coffee cups were neither washed nor replaced. Tea, coffee and milk were inconsistently restocked despite the room being booked for two people. I raised these issues after the first night, yet they were still not properly addressed.
In addition, I experienced very poor service during breakfast and felt I was treated differently to other guests. I repeatedly had to collect my own cutlery and table items while other guests were fully served in the same area. Staff were unresponsive and unwelcoming, and overall I was made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, particularly during the Christmas period.
This was not the standard I expect from a 4 star Hilton property, and it significantly impacted my stay.

We had a lovely welcome on arrival and a warm cookie. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Huge TV in the bedroom. We were on the reception level but it was very quiet. Food was very good overall.
Hefty charge for parking. The toilets in the public area were not kept clean and supplied with toilet roll. The drinks in the bar were very expensive, excessively so. A small bottle of water was £4.50, and not even chilled.

Breakfast is good
I stayed at the hotel to meet my family and treat them to a lunch. I had booked at 12.30 for 9 people. At 12.30 I went to the restaurant to check the table was ready but the staff there had no notification of our booking. This meant I had to go back to Emma at reception who confirmed my booking. The table was then set up meaning a bit of a wait I understood these things happen. The staff in the restaurant did all they could to get the table ready
I was then very distorted find that the menu was missing several items including pizza
I had also notified the booking that one of our group was vegan but this again was a surprise the your team in the restaurant.
This did of course spoil our family get together and was the reason we had travelled there and stayed overnight.
Ideas told that check out time was 12.00 so having gone to put some items in the car before 11.30 my card did not allow me to gain entry. As my wife was having a shower it meant I had to knock quite a few times before she heard me and let me in.
When I questioned this at reception I was told that they did this because it was getting near the time to vacate. I was then told it was because of the clocks being changed summer to winter etc!! I raise this because in front of me at the counter was an elderly man who had been locked out of his room for the same reason.

Good location. Beautiful
The staff was not pleasant, the room Heating system was broken, and three days I complained to the staff and none of them tried to fix it or change the room. I asked about where I can get water to drink and I was told just drink the water from the bathroom. If that’s how you treat your customers then I’m afraid the guest service agents are in the wrong business. The stay was very unpleasant

Convenient. We had a party here so we stayed for that reason, the 2 bar staff were great Jeven and can’t remember the others name that was on the private bar of our party would recommend very nice friendly people!
Main reception staff were miserable, we had a party and spent nearly 2 thousand pounds for the hire/ food there was so much h food left over which we paid for they wouldn’t let us box up to take home so much wastage, organising the party and communicating wasn’t great either.

Newly refurbished so parts of the room were nicely decorated
Some parts were not included in refurb like door which didn't lock. Breakfast options were limited and paying £7.50 for parking is strange
