Room was nice and clean but not seeing anyone from the B&B was not good for me.

I came down for breakfast on my last morning but there was no-one around, the lights were not on and it was not inviting. It was like it was closed even in the time that breakfast was supposed to be done.

Having met the people that work there or own it, I saw no-one from the B&B and I did not like that.

Pleasent, close to city centre & private parking.

Own Carpark, close to the city centre, bed comfortable & shower was warm & powerful. We was Room 11 which overlooked the Private car park at the back of the guest house which was a win for me!

Not the properties fault however I could hear what I suspect to be containers being moved or something of the sort from the port from around 9pm to 5am then the occasional ship horn 6am onwards. I note we did have the small window open so wonder if it would still be heard when closed. Despite this I would very much consider staying again!

The hotel has its own carpark, was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The check in was self-service and simple. The host was very nice and helpful. Shower had plenty of hot water.

The location was great and 20 minutes walk from the city. The free parking was a huge bonus. Quiet street. Nice area.

Smelly, Eerie and Horrible place. Stay away

I have never felt so uncomfortable staying at a property before. The environment was eerie and unwelcoming, and instead of hospitality, what I experienced was complete rudeness. When I complained about the foul smell in the room, the owner shockingly suggested that it might be my own body odour! Such an insulting and unprofessional response is beyond unacceptable. The room itself was in terrible condition, with an unpleasant stench that made it impossible to relax. The overall atmosphere was unfriendly and hostile, making my stay one of the worst travel experiences I’ve ever had. The owner claimed to have cleared the smell the next day. But the only thing new i saw was a perfume / scent item placed in the room. I had booked 5 nights, but the place was so revolting that I escaped after just one miserable night, losing my money for the remaining stay. That’s how unlivable it was. I rarely leave poor reviews, but this place deserves every bit of criticism. Save yourself the trouble and book elsewhere. There are far better options.

Ok for the price and easy access to transport

Cheap enough, easy checkin and location close to the station

Checkin was so easy that it felt unsafe. Anyone could have grabbed my key and made a copy. Shower was not great and decor generally very date, including carpeted bathroom. Self-service may suit some but I did miss a welcoming/ human touch.

Absolutely fine for an overnight stay

Good location, at least for us: half way between the city centre and the hospital (an appointment at the latter being the purpose of our visit) There was also a very good pizzeria nearby (What a Pizza Shirley!)

The decor was very dated (but that was fine...) What I really didn't like was the strong smell of mould in my bedroom (though at least it was possible to open a window!) I had also hoped to have a drink at the bar (which was supposed to be open till 8pm), but when I rang the various bells to call a member of staff no one came!
