Great place to stay

Amazing kitchen, clean room, convenient location. All in all I had I’d expect for a cheap overnight stay.

Would have given it a 10/10 but the bed was quite tough and didn’t agree with my back. Also, no fault of the property but, particularly in Shirley, there is a lot of homelessness and the area is quite run down, always someone asking for money, typically as I come or go to the property. Also bubs were overflowing causing quite a smell and flies lingering.

1. Bedrooms are upstairs making it difficult to carry heavy suitcases to the bedrooms. 2. No hot water at all! 3. Beds are not comfortable.

Decent, pocket friendly accommodation in Southhampton

The location was good, and the premises decent. Access was very convinent even though we arrived late. The room.i stayed in was clean and spacious. The bed was comfy. Would be glad to stay there again when next in Southhampton.

Even though it wasn't a big deal, there was no sugar when I was getting my coffee. But honestly, I did love the place.

Nice staff but very low quality rooms

This property is okay if your only requirement is a bed to sleep on.

The property is incredibly tired and run down, there are holes in the bath and the walls in the bathroom. The whole place is in need of an update, it’s like a very tired looking student house.

Nice but housekeeping not good

WiFi and bed was comfatble.. staff sent wrong passcode to get into the property so had to wait a while for the working code to get through to property

The house keeping lady who was very rude and swearing upon leaving. I would have definitely stayed here again and recommended people to stay here if it wasn’t for the house keeping lady who was so rude and bursting through the door whilst I was showering.

Fantastic!

We had booked another accommodation near by but once we got there we found out it was double booked and we didn't have any where to stay, so found this place on booking.com and it didn't disappoint, very clean, good facilities, easy process and although I didn't see Monica, she was very helpful over WhatsApp. It was a big garden too with chairs. We stayed in room number one, it had a fan, TV and also had an ensuite toilet and shower, very clean too. Would recommend this place.

Not much I didn't like, if I had to say something id say the garden could do with a makeover, add some colour and more facilities like proper garden benches.

Overall good value for the money

Kitchen was great, everything we needed. Free washer and dryer which was nice. The biggest issue was the room itself. It was on street level, with one window that opens and it was extremely hot. No air conditioning. We didn’t feel safe opening up the window at night so it was very uncomfortable. I think every other room though would have been fine. Ours was the only one that opened on street level. Monica our hostess tried hard to remediate the issue by buying a couple of fans for us. We were in room 1.

Convenient, comfortable, and easy breasy.

The property was located perfectly, as we attended a live music event, given codes to check in, had parking on site, clean and comfortable, toilet just outside our room, fully equipped kitchen and seating area, excellent value, was a great place to get ready pre gig, have something to eat on return, and to rest our heads for the night, would use again and recommend, owner very attentive in communication by text.

I was concerned why I was waking up with bites, Monica offered no help

They had fan in my room and paper towels in the kitchen. Kitchen was functional.

Every B&B stretches the truth then when you get there? The rooms did NOT have private bath. There was smoking in rooms & hall way, staff left linen in washer all day thus I could not so my laundry.

The shower was useless, no water pressure. The bed was old small and very uncomfortable. No parking available on the second night. The Tv was also unwatchable due to very bad picture quality. And the area in which it lays us very questionable.

Like a cheap hostel concept that may be for students only!

Accidentally selected shared kitchen and showroom, but did not expect there was no hot water anywhere in the facility. Hot water was not available in the kitchen, in the main showroom, and a small cell shower behind another toilet. When I asked question about it in the morning, it was responded around noon that I already decided to leave. I left the place next day. This place was may be just for students with minimal budget. Beds are wired beds, and you can easily roll off. There is no heating system, you can feel the cold at night. Second day I noticed there is a heater in the bed and was fine.

I did not stay in this accommodation because the owner kindly transferred my booking to their other guesthouse which is nearer to the hospital, where I was visiting my husband.

Great stay, comfortable, clean and ideal location

We had a very pleasant stay, it is a great location not far from city centre. It was very clean and quiet despite being a guest house, which was really surprising. Had a great night sleep beds and rooms make for a very comfortable stay.

Unwelcoming frontage and room. Room looked like it was bits and pieces of mis match furniture. Didn’t look appealing . Kitchen cupboards had been wiped down with a dirty cloth and were all streaked very off putting.

Very clean, well located, reasonable price.

Having access to a large kitchen with all the facilities we needed to make our meals paired with the location being close to many shops. We didn't need to use the laundry but I really appreciate that it was available!

The water pressure in the shower was disappointing. It also took a while to figure out which way to make the water hot. I think a small diagram would save a lot of water while people try to find their right temp.

Affordable guest house with a comfortable sized room. The shared kitchen is well equipped.

Easy check in and entry. Electric blanket on bed for winter and freestanding tower fan for summer. Plenty of storage space. Shared kitchen is well equipped. Communication was good, and entry instructions were clear and accurate.

Pillows on bed were too chunky for my personal preference. Shower head holder bracket was broken (common fault in lots of places I stay) meaning that I couldn't raise the shower head. Didn't negatively affect my stay, but it's worth noting.
