Unable to say, as the property did not provide the check in details. I booked the property late as it was still available on bookings.com I was travelling and didn’t see their email until later requesting for my ID. When I sent this I didn’t get a response and the email which was sent after check in stated no ch clubs after 10pm were allowed. This information should have been available prior to booking the accommodation. I reached out to them several times asking for a refund, after being ignored multiple time and being persistent I was informed they don’t provide refunds and so would not be giving me my money back despite the issue being that they hadn’t provide all the information required prior to me making the booking!

Unsafe code system, anyone can get into your bedroom.

Nothing I didn’t end up staying because it’s felt unsafe.

Property owner insisted on me coming to the house so I could be shown how the codes to the doors worked. I drove 20 minutes out of the direction of the wedding I was attending to meet her and then she didn’t turn up. She then gave me the codes over the phone which she insisted I originally was not allowed to do, so already a wasted 40 minute excursion for me. When I opened my bedroom there was a naked man in the bed, obviously a shock to me. The owner said he was meant to have moved rooms, which meant he would still be staying and would then have had the code to my bedroom. I was then given the code to another room which when I went in was a pretty poor standard, curtains hanging off, very dingy lighting and the bedding looked old and tatty. I chose not to stay given I had already managed to get the code to someone else’s room and this man had already been staying in other rooms, I felt unsafe that anyone could get into my bedroom. As a female staying alone it just didn’t feel like a safe place for me to stay, I ended up sleeping in my car as the alternative. I would not recommend this property even with the price being cheap I still feel it wasn’t worth it. Also located in a not very nice area.

Exceptionally clean & comfortable and good value

The host Monica, is most communicative which I really do appreciate very much, she responded very quickly and promptly every time I messaged her, with regards to my check-in time, I anticipated to arrive later than usual after an event & she was very accommodating & always very pleasant, human & nice & kind & amenable in all our communications, thank you Monica ! I'm sorry I'm a week late in writing this review as I've been very busy ! I chose this place to stay as everywhere was selling out fast in peak July season around the New Forest & this was at least half the price of everywhere else ! I try to avoid shared bathrooms & kitchens but on rare occasions like this I do & although I don't like having an external bathroom to go to where other guests are sharing, I never found the door locked or occupied & there are 3 to choose from in this 2 storey house anyway & everywhere couldn't be more immaculatly, spotlessly clean !! I met the cleaning lady on the Sunday morning as I was leaving, she is meticulous & hard working ! The bedroom was comfortable, clean & bright & I had no trouble working the TV as in some places, a working remote control, WiFi, a bedside lamp, ample wardrobe hanging space & clean faultless sliding drawers, lovely crisp white linens, comfy bed next to nice window with blue curtains. Downstairs kitchen scrupulously clean, very well stocked with utensils & beverages, washing machine, fridge freezer, sink, cooker, kettle, dining room, garden with seating. No complaints, thank you ! I like the residential address & feels like it's at the end of a wide cul-de-sac but it's not, it links into the main road at the end, where this house is.

There was nothing I didn't like although I felt the rules are a bit tighter than a Hotel as regards a curfew on first night which is understandable as Monica explained, it is not a hotel with a 24 hour check-in desk, she runs it on her own & self check-in access code wasn't a problem for me or most guests but apparently & understandably there are always some who find it difficult to get in & she cannot be expected to be woken up at any time of the night to help guests get in, she needs to sleep too ! As I arrived @1am with no entry issues, I hoped for a later checkout to get time to rest & wash there so I left later which is outside the house rules but we discussed this & Monica was good about it but explained that's not the way it works. The cleaning lady needs those hours to clean as well as she does

Convenient stay

Very easy check in. The house is extremely clean and functional. Single beds were comfortable and clean. The towel was a bonus as we had forgotten ours. The toilet/shower is small but functional and clean. Parking was easy along the road. Our only negative was the noise from the road and docks all night and the smokers outside as the smell drifted up through our window. If we were at the back of the house this would not be a problem I feel sure. Good 40 minute easy walk into town, taxi was easy to book for our return from the theatre (radio taxis)

My room was small but very clean and comfortable. I liked being able to sign into my Netflix account on the TV. The bathrooms were spotless, and well-supplied with soap, shampoo, and conditioner, but sinks were TINY and hard to use. I didn't use the kitchen or washing machine, but it would have been handy if I'd needed them. It was convenient to have shops, a great fish&chips joint, and a bus stop just a block away.

I wouldn't describe the location as CLOSE to the cruise ship terminal, but it was a fairly convenient 14 quid taxi ride away. Taxi drivers did not know this place so be sure to have the full address (plus postal code) handy when you deal with them. I found the business model user unfriendly. It's like the self-checkout at stores, transferring the work to the customer. There was no owner/employee onside, no personal contact, no one around if you had questions or problems. You just get door codes sent to you on arrival day, which felt very impersonal, and the proprietor says she doesn't check messages very often. Although the place was very clean, there was a strange unpleasant smell in the entry and kitchen during my stay, almost like body odor. Worst for me was that there was NO provision for early arrival, no chance to even drop off luggage before 3 p.m. No way to store luggage when you were kicked out of your room promptly at 10 a.m. Nowhere inside to wait for your taxi when it's raining. It's a small place and I find it hard to believe that it takes five hours to clean that few rooms. Very impersonal. It will be okay if you arrive and leave exactly on time, don't need to leave luggage, don't need or want any personal touch for your stay. I don't think I would stay there again.

It's a nice house, shared with others, you do not get the place to yourself.

The location was great and the price was cheap which was great but you get what you pay for!

The house was clean and tidy. Unfortunately we thought it was a house to ourselves but to be fair it didn't say it was. That was our assumption! In terms of issues: One of the bed covers wasn't washed from the last visitor. The others were very clean. One of the beds was broken at the bottom half.

Everything was great except for someone like us that didnt have an internet / phonr connection to allow us to get the code. Monica kindly came and let us in and also booked us a taxi for the next day. We really appreciated that. She was very accomodating.

Room was excellent; clean and comfortable. The auto check in process was very easy. Shared bathroom was good.

Common areas (kitchen) were a bit dirty. The owner asks you to check in before 22:00 as she argues it is a difficult check in procedure, and she does not check the phone after 22:00. Since the location is far from the city center, it could be a bit of a liability to go there before you are going to rest, if that's after 22:00. The check in process is actually pretty easy.
