An excellent hotel with very friendly and accommodating staff.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I had to check into the room early as I was in a red eye flight and it was wonderful to have this accommodated without any fuss. The breakfast was really good with a wide selection of food and the quality of the ingredients was excellent.

I couldn't really find fault with the hotel to be honest. Do you only mildly annoying thing was that there was building going on and scaffolding on the outside but it didn't affect the quality of my stay. It was perfect for my needs. Unfortunately I didn't have time to check out the restaurant, but I did have some drinks in the bar which I found reasonably priced.

Perfect hotel for an overnight stay if cruising next day, or for a few days away on a mini break

Receptionist very welcoming Room was perfect comfortable and clean with comfy bed and pillows Lots of choices for breakfast hot or cold and very spacious dining. Bar food available in the evening with good choices.

Loved it!

Great staff: Front desk - Lewis and a lovely lady who's name was starting with R (I think she was a manager) were both superb and also Breakfast lady Tina ( so smiley and efficient). Room was excellent and clean and the bed...so good! Breakfast had a great selection!

Relaxing 2 day lay over in Southampton

The property met my expectations. This was my third time staying at this chain, which was originally Jurys Inn. My niece and I enjoyed our 2 day of rest and relaxation after our 7 day European cruise. The room was spacious and clean with 2 comfortable double beds. We enjoyed relaxing in the lounge and the food we ordered was very good.

The weather didnt permit us to go out and see that area of Southampton which was very disappointing, but better luck next time.

Not a bad hotel, but not great

Like the initial interior and the reception, the lifts were fast and spacious, and it was cool that there were three. The bar looked nice even though we didnt go there with a nice ambience and decent lighting as we looked in. The room had decent windows and the view wasn't bad though not at all jaw dropping. The choice of wall paintings were fine. They offered tea and coffee on a tray as most places within this budget do. We didn't try it but there was a phone and instructions on room service.

The room itself was a bit naff. They gave use a double and a single even though the room said it was simply a double room which was a bit bizarre. The bed was fine but the bathroom was a bit scuffed, with obvious signs of wear, dirt and grime. The paintings on the wall were a bit boring and seemed to make the room a little more tacky than if they had just been left bare. The tv was very small and slow.

Weekend Stay at the Leonado.

The bed was comfy and there was a good selection of breakfast items. The staff were very helpful, and they helped me when I needed it.

My shower curtain was stained, and dirty, the shower head is fixed and not flexible so it makes it hard to wash certain areas if you're disabled, my room was way too hot, the heating was fixed on 26° and whenever I changed it, it re-set itself, plus the TV was missing basic channels like ITV3 and the time/date was messed up so the TV guide didn't work properly either.

On arrival hotel smelt of fish, not a good start, quick processing and got key, hotel room needs work, 4 stars supposedly, shower did not work

Comfortable bed

Bathroom in serious need of modernization. Who takes a bath... need walk in shower. Also only shelf in bathroom was right over sink. Hard to wash face without hitting the shelf.

Hotel was clean and modern. Breakfast was extremely good, a good selection of food. Staff were fine, some better than others but that’s what you see everywhere. Overall a decent place.

For me, but this is a personal preference, it was to far from where I was going, the Boat show. And because of the boat show the prices were hiked up. Most hotels do this, but it’s wrong. It was a small walk through the park to the top of the high street. One other small issue, no toilet brush, and let’s be honest any one can leave a mark in the pan, just think it would be nice for a guest and cleaning staff if any marks could be cleaned by the culprit! :) staff were fine, a mixed bag, some very friendly, others not so. shower a bit small and deadly slippery when wet. Due to being in the middle of a roundabout, very noisy if you left window open.

I liked the steps at the front desk so my little one could get involved. However, staff could have been better.

Not very thorough explanation that made us wait longer. They forgot the baby cot and no one was available through the phone that is placed in the room. I was alone with two under 3s AND on the 11th floor. I couldn't dress them and drag them down with me to ask for the cot. I guess the phone is just for decoration. No amenities at all. Basic shampoo hand-wash that is about it.

The exit !

The room was supposed to be an 'executive' room - not sure what made in so - it was a basic hotel room with pillows that were as hard as house bricks There was a mini bar where 'everything was free' - that perked us up at check in - when we looked, two bottles of water, a bottle of persi and a kit kat !!! - So, that how these 'executives' roll !!? Main issue - at 27 degrees outside - the air-con wasnt working. We spoke to reception - asked them to get it looked at - or have a fan, or move rooms NONE of the above happened - weird though, still paid the same price for the room. Add to that, the hotel is effectively on a giant roundabout - so - with the window open (for some relief from the heat ) , we had the joyous experience of sirens all through the night Not a place I would every stay again
