Close to facilities, central location.

Lack of coat hooks. Could easily put one on the back of the door, or under the shelf. Night time noise, although that stopped at midnight. No TV instructions. I wanted to get BBC1 but failed to.

The electric door lock, i feel as if it wasn’t as secure as it could’ve been as the mechanism to lock from the inside was confusing, could do with an internal door lock hatch too for extra security.

I would not book again!

The window was smashed, which meant that the cold air was coming through and the room was very cold. The bathroom was small and you had to squeeze past the sink to get to the shower. The kettle was placed under the television and the power was via an extension lead that was dangling. It did not appear to be very safe. The booking said free wifi which only connected for 10 minutes. I did not receive a message back, when I brought these problems to the owners attention.

Lovely place to stay

Location was great and was easy to access the house and room. Like the little bottles of shampoo and how the towels where lay out. Rooms where tidy and tv worked.

Basic clean little room in an interesting area.

I liked the vicinity and the cleanliness

To start with- there was no reception- just a door lock number emailed.and no light to see the numbers.we had to buy a torch later to get back in. There were a lot of stairs to the very basic room with no handrail at the bottom- so was difficult with a walking stick and bags.The room was tiny even though I had opted and paid for a slightly better room- but was very clean..on departing the room onto the narrow landing we both brushed against the white walls- which un-beknown to us had been freshly painted whilst we slept - getting paint on our coats and bags. there was a team of quiet workmen in. ( one helped clean the paint off us.) We noticed that on the floor below us there were bigger- and also very freshly!!- painted - rooms, to be fair. A note on our bed to warn us would have been a good idea. Had a good night sleep- a laugh- and have slept in worse. No glasses to drink from either.

Small, basic, but OK for one night

The room was above a busy area on Oxford Street but the noise was surprising not an issue. Access to the property was easy with the key coded doors being easy to use. The room itself clean and the bed was comfortable and we both slept well. The toiletries and tea and coffee making facilities were a welcome addition

The room and bathroom were both was very small. When other guests arrived late?early in the morning the hallway light came on and shone through the edges of the door way cause a small amount of disruption to our sleep.

Ok place to stay in a pinch.

Was given a first floor room when requested so only had to drag bags up one flight of stairs. Room was nice enough for decor ( grey and white) and bed comfy enough. Pillows not hard so ok.

I should have read the reviews! Thin sheer curtains on window so no privacy for street facing room. Noise until wee hours from bars on street. Tiny room with no table or place to put suitcase other than floor or on bed. Passable for one night but other less expensive options available. I would stay here again only if under $100/night.

Central and comfortable.

Great location and easy enough to find but could be just as easily missed. The stairs were narrow but no real issues as long as you dont have a lot of awkward baggage and your able bodied. Comfortable with all one needs for a short stay. Self check-in with door code provided.

Appalling sleepless stay.

The incredibly loud music coming from the restaurant below was unbearable and vibrated and thumped through the room and bed until about 130-2am. This was (a) totally unacceptable and (b) not even mentioned in the property's description. I had to be up at 5am for work and so was left exhausted. I would like a ferund of my payment please

Could be better

It is very near to the Ocean Cruise Terminal and that was the selling point, and the room was bigger than expected.

No lift, tight stairs, room with no privacy at all due to sheer curtain, no place in the shower to place your facecloth and shower gel, basin too tight, no loo roll holder, and one bedside table was without electricity to plug a small lamp or to charge the smartphone.

It’s okay but wouldn’t stay again.

Comfortable and served its purpose as we were only there for one night!

Situated in a very noisy part of town. Not easy to find and had to ask two different people where the property was as it’s slap bang in between the Shisha bar and an Italian restaurant. If you want a relatively quiet spot and need to get a fair share of sleep, i would highly advise against this place, as you’re having to put up with noisy restaurants and then night revellers till early hours of the morning! Front door always banged shut giving you a fright each time! Window did not open properly and you need to wedge something underneath it to keep it open! Keep your door code with you otherwise you’ll be in dire straits trying to get in.

Location

The noise was horrendous and we didn’t get to sleep until well after 1am. You could feel the vibrations of the loud music in the room and on the bed. Would not stay here again and it should have been divulged in large font on the advert how loud the music would be this was a Friday night.

Inviting But Not Quite

Bright, neutral colour which is quite inviting. Convenient to shops, pubs & restaurants.

Noisy, damp & dusty smell welcomes us in the hall way, no parking space at the time of arrival. Very congested street.

At least bed was made up location was good but noisy( but we're informed of noise prior to booking so new what to expect)

Bad, Rude Employees, Did not even stay at facility

Was a horrible experience based purely on customer services. Before even confirming the booking - i called the facility to ask if we could do an earlier check in time and was told we can be accomodated at 11am-12pm. On the day of the booking, Called the facility directly - and asked for details to be let into the facility - and was told that noone wouldve said that and agreed to that - and he has no idea what i am talking about. The person who answered the phone was rude, unprofessional and does not know what customer experience / service is. Thankfully - we found a wonderful place right accross from it. DO NOT BOOK HERE - I RECOMMEND THE WHITE STAR TAVERN ACCROSS THE STREET - GREAT ROOMS, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE UNLIKE THIS FACILITY.

Best location for ferry and youthful night out in Southampton

Oxford stays location served us well. It was a little walk from the ferry and had a London nearby for extra supplies. We booked in summer so the noise outside made sleeping a bit difficult for us. Not the best for families with small children or those with mobility issues( stairs step and narrow don’t carry more than a hand luggage) The bathroom and the pictures didn’t match I believe white areas in the bathroom should be white. There were age old dark mould spots which dissuades one to have a bath and the toilet brush was not clean from the previous person’s use. There was also a very loud noise when flashed which in the night would interfere with the other person’s sleep. With beddings would have preferred harder bed and pillows but sheets with higher thread count( for the price paid) but this I understand is my preference so doesn’t knock down the rating. The sign in and out was communicated very well and the room entry locks as advanced as those in South Korea the first have seen on any bookings via booking.com which was impressive.

Great location!

Great location! The room was walkable from the bus terminal in town - about 1 mile. It was located on a great closed off street of restaurants and pubs!

The room was very hot because of the weather, necessitating the window be left open (still hot!). The noise from the pubs, clubs, and restaurants can be bothersome, especially with the window open. I was exhausted from travel though, and the location is prime, so I was able to look past that.

One night stay

It was in a great location with lots of amenities and bars ect close by, functional for what we needed with separate bathrooms ect

The bed in my room wasn't the most comfortable but apparently my friends had a nice one, the showers had a little bit of mould at the bottom of them and the windows were slightly mouldy too with one of the windows being smashed The curtains had a few mystery stains which I can only describe as semen on them Also the pillows and duvet covers had small possibly blood spots on them
