Highly recommend and would love to stay here again!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay and would highly recommend this place! Everything was super clean — spotless from the room to the shared areas. I felt very comfortable from the first day. The location was perfect. It’s just a few minutes’ walk from the city centre and only about two minutes from the Titanic Museum, which was amazing. Everything was within walking distance, and the neighbourhood was very calm and peaceful with quiet neighbours — exactly what I needed. I also really enjoyed the fact that I spent the whole week there on my own. No one was staying next to me, so I could use the shared bathroom and kitchen by myself, which made the experience even more comfortable and relaxing. Another thing I truly appreciated was that I was allowed to keep the hairdryer in my room. For me this is very important because my hair doesn’t dry naturally and I really need a hairdryer — so this meant a lot to me. Overall, I’m extremely happy with my stay and would definitely choose this place again in the future.

The only small thing to mention is that the toilet flush handle sometimes didn’t work properly and might need fixing. But honestly, this was a very minor issue compared to how great everything else was.

Cheap and cheerful as expected. Central location and nice budget rooms. Great to have a single room than have to pay for a double with solo occupation.

A really nice place to stay

I've stayed in a few budget guest houses in Southampton as a solo traveller to attend gigs and events. Usually it's a case of "it's cheap, i'll make do" and I don't have a good experience, but I genuinely really enjoyed my stay here. I only interacted with staff briefly when checking in, but they were very polite and efficient. No faffing about and I felt welcomed. Located a walkable distance from the train and coach stations and conveniently close to shops and other locations like Papillon for gigs. The room itself was clean and simple. Contained a small fridge, microwave, kettle with tea/coffee, a small fold out table and chair perfectly big enough for doing some work on my laptop. There was a TV in the room and although I didn't use it, nice to have. Towel and coathangers also provided - to be honest there's nothing else I could have asked for for a basic overnight stay and I appreciated all the little comforts provided Bed was comfy and sheets smelled clean. The shared bathroom with shower was also pleasant and clean, the whole place was nicely decorated and tidy. Circle Guest House exceeded my expectations for a budget stay and I would gladly stay here again

A perfect little gem of simple affordable accommodation

Clean comfy room with kitchenette which was very well equipped. Slightly out of town so nice and quiet really great to have on sight parking a real bonus and only a 15 minute walk to to get into the town centre. Met warmly by host even though I was earlier than check in time my room was ready. This is the third time I have stayed here but never leaves me disappointed. A real little gem 😉

Hidden Gem in Southampton's.

Blown away by how good this stay was, at under £40 for an en suite room with TV, kettle, comfy three-quarter bed and less than ten mins from Southampton centre. It was absolutely brilliant for our trip to St. Mary's, only spoilt by my crap football team.

Beautiful staying. Circle house location is very convenient, it takes around 10 minutes to be in Southampton town, where you can find coffee shops, restaurants, shops, beautiful parks and it is also a walking distance of the history of Southampton like the Tudor House, Sea Museum and more. Circle House is very near to the central train station and there are plenty of buses too. The Hosts were very welcoming and friendly. They checked that I was fine and if in need of anything to reach them without hesitation.

The bedroom was very basic, the double bed was shabby, pillow cases not ironed they were creased. One towel only, asked for an extra one, was shouted at rudely, by unpleasant hostess. Tea and coffee facility was short supplied for my stay,, too afraid to ask for a top up, television only had 2 channels working ( BBC 1 and 2). Very disappointing!! Checked out one day earlier, found another property with much more and not much in price difference, and also good location. The Reviews for this property do not do any justice ( 8.2)??

The steps and floors were squeezing and we were told don't walk up and down the stairs because we would make noise. Nice for overnight for cruisers, but to be free and comfortable by being oneself talking and laughing, it is not for you.
