Not for us but maybe for others
It was centrally located and provided an element of value for money until the surface was scratched.
Paid for car parking was difficult with no direct access from the car park into the hotel building. We stayed in room 301 on the 3rd floor accessed by 6 flights of stairs or a very small lift itself accessed by narrow and very dated (decoratively) corridors making the carriage of bags difficult. The room was uneven leaning towards the door which made sleeping challenging. Over all the room was clean other than the bathroom bin which had not been emptied following the previous guests. There was evidence of damp on the ceiling and a patch of bare brick work where the plaster had come away. There is a Malaysian restaurant on site which seemed to be cooking all day, we never ate there but had to contend with the kitchen smells all day even in the third floor. It is a smart hotel, in that electrics in the room are controllable by Alexia; we didn’t use that facility but felt uncomfortable that we could not switch that facility off and could be monitoring us.

the smartness of the room; the room being controlled by the echo. The beds were comfy.
Weird spacing for the room as it was hard to get out of the room as the door would clash against the bed. The shower kept going from very hot to cold. You could really smell what was cooking within the hotel so very pungent spice smells coming into the room.

A value for money seaside destination
Breakfast was simple and good. Car park although limited was free and a big bonus. The place is well maintained and clean and the room was smart controlled by Alexa. Will stay here again
The parking lot at the back of the hotel needs to be tidied up as trash are seen on the ground. So far overall inside the building we are generally satisfied.

Easy to find, great location, room was clean and bed was comfy. Car parking at the hotel. Breakfast was ok.
New upgrades to modernise however they didn’t all work lack of selves in the bathroom, the hanging space for clothes not sufficient as The kettle shared the same space and boiled all over the hanging clothes

Very comfortable, but don’t go for the breakfast
The location is amazing right on the seafront and only a 10 minute walk into the town. The room has all the smart technology even the curtains can be open and closed by voice command. It was very comfortable and very clean. As it’s a very old building, the floors were not level which made it a bit quirky but no big deal.
There is a Malaysian restaurant attached to the hotel and the smell when they were cooking, walking in ,to me was not very pleasant. The breakfast was very disappointing. They offered halal breakfast. I was aware of this but didn’t realise it excluded all other types. The items were cold served on cold plates. Toast and cereal was okay though.

Great hotel in a great location
The hotel was in an excellent location, .3 of a mile from the closest Wetherspoons The Willian Henry or .6 mile from the Swan, the other Wetherspoons
The room was excellent, very clean and comfortable.with nice fluffy towels and a great bathroom.
Staff were very accommodating as I turned up early as was in the area and they let me drop off my bag whilst I popped into town to kill time till I could check in.
Communication was excellent over WhatsApp too.
Narrow corridors getting to the elevator could be difficult if you have many bags but its an old building so to be expected..
Breakfast on the Wednesday morning, the lass just came out with the cooked breakfast, never asked what I would like just handed me a plate i didn't like that, minor complaint really.

Was meant to be delux extra large bed and it was only a double. No where to hang clothes unless you hang them over the kettle. The breakfast was disgusting was meant to be an English breakfast but the bacon wasn’t bacon and tasted horrible the sausages were barely cooked and were chicken the whole lot was cold and inedible

Location great. 3-5 minute walk from train station. Staff were friendly and made effort putting balloons in the room for the birthday boy. We were able to access rooms with code or key which was efficient.

You cannot fault the establishment or the staff. The rooms are fantastic clean warm and well maintained Ours was equipped with voice activated tv curtains lights and music if required The lift was a bonus. The staff are helpful friendly and informative totally great stay

Poor hotel
Comfy bed and good location
Halal breakfast 🤢, very poorcontinental options, no cheese no meats, poor salad, factory wrapped croissants. No clean towels on arrival, only stained hand towels. Smart rooms make no sense for a resort that attracts elderly visitors. Poor decor. Dirty windows. Dirty shower screen and the bathroom tiles haven't been cleaned since they were fitted. Paper in the room stated 'elegant parking', it was a Dirty back yard with space for 6 cars oh and from the car park there was an open door where you could see the food prep area, this is a big no no, basic food safety, all exterior doors should be closed to prevent pests entering the kitchen area. Absolutely would not stay there again!

Great location with views over Weymouth Bay; lovely listening to the waves during the night and watching the sun rise. Room and bathroom modern & clean, large shower with good water pressure. Does look as though the hotel is 'work in progress'.
Unfortunately quite a few negatives. Nowhere to put toiletries in the bathroom; a little awkward getting in the shower due to position of the sink; no hand towels, hand soap dispenser empty; one of the bath towels stained. Could do with a heated towel rail.
Comfy bed but not level; no green tea option; no sufficient clothes storage due to tea making facilities on same unit. Bottled water not replenished. Paint around windows very sloppy. Smart room a novelty but money could have been better spent elsewhere. Curtains hit and miss whether they responded.
Breakfast awful, not sufficient or options, and cold; again, no green tea as an option; not worth the money; halal not mentioned when booking. Breakfasted at Brewers Faye second day for same cost - lovely hot breakfast with great choice and selection of teas. No fan available, despite being listed. Getting to the lift was cluttered and unsightly; linen piled up, random bottle of cleaning liquid on the floor
Reception - not welcoming; could do with reception desk being opened up again; check-in not clear, was checked in by someone in jeans and t-shirt - not very professional. No one on 'reception' when we left in the morning - not professional.
Despite booking a parking space, one was not available, although told the space directly next to the bins was a parking space (the bins had to be moved over to fit the car in - far from ideal).

Fantastic stay
Surprisingly spacious room which overlooked the sea. Room was very clean and added bonus it was a smart room so 'alexa' could control TV, curtains and lights, very modern. Bathroom was clean and modern, could have done with a shelf for toiletries but it was fine, good size. Onsite restaurant served really tasty Malaysian food 10/10 for that and friendly staff. Good stay and hopefully we'll stay there again soon 😁

The hotel provides a kettle etc, however you cannot refill it… the bathroom tap/sink does not allow the kettle to fit, so the only way to fill the kettle is too either use the shower head or buy bottled water… not ideal at 0700 when you wake up and no shops open

Never again!
The hotels location and the bed was comfy, and led to believe it was a four star hotel. Staff we had limited contact with were pleasant, especially Jessica.
It was no where near being a four star hotel. The hotel uses a Malaysian restaurant on the ground floor, which operates independently. “ English breakfast “ turned out to be a limited buffet which had been resting on hot plates for some time and did not look appetising ,which led us to question how some items had been prepared .Did not expect breakfast mushrooms to be cooked in oyster sauce which, had we not queried, would have led to a serious outcome. We do not frequent Malaysian restaurants and were unaware this is their normal method. We were unaware it was not pork bacon. We were promised by Jessica, that a refund would be issued for our pre-paid breakfasts but so far has not been forthcoming.
There was no hot water on our first night, on the second night the shower fluctuated from scalding to cold water and on the third night we washed not showered. The manager blamed the plumbers !
We requested de-caffeinated tea for the room but it never arrived despite managers promise.
The window chord was broken rendering the window very difficult to open.
Room cleaning was every other day, so what would normally be expected of a “four star” establishment didn’t happen and it was necessary to find the elusive staff for replacements. Though they boast about “Alexa” for opening/closing the curtains or turning on the tv, WiFi was not always available and the socket this was plugged into looked a bit overcrowded. The soap dispenser in the bathroom never worked and there was no toilet brush. Again, basic provisions for a hotel claiming to be four star.
Today I have noticed that some of the descriptions for the services at the hotel have been changed on Booking.com since our stay, eg. advising it is halal meat at breakfast which was not the case when we booked, and the hotel is now listed as three star. We’ve stayed at two star hotels that have far better provision.
There were various instruction , does and do not sheets on the walls which cheapened the look

missing the attention to detail
The bed was comfortable, having echo in the room was a novelty and the location excellent.
It was the little things that took away from the experience. One of the mugs in the room was dirty, a lamp bulb was out, there wasn't any room for toiletries around the sink and the shower drain was blocked. The breakfast was also cold, and with only 1 pair of tongs and 1 spoon to serve everything, those with allergies should be cautious. Although our breakfast was included, guests are better off elsewhere.

Lovely view
Smart features were convenient, beautiful view, staff friendly and helpful, room was well presented and decorated, lovely and clean with modern furniture and comfy bedding.
Shower was just about usable, the water pressure was extremely poor and temperature kept switching from cold to scalding.

Loved it and will definitley be back
Brilliantly located right on the seafront. Very nice rooms with very comfortable beds. Nice bathroom, seems pretty recently redone. Nice, helpful staff. One of us has a food allergy and they responded to me quickly about catering for that, and the restaurant team were very attentive about it. Very useful having a lift, since we were on the top floor.
