I didn’t get the room that I saw on there website,what was advertised on the website was not what we got,you couldn’t open a window as you would have to move the bed,there was less than a foot either side of the bed to get room,you kept catching your toes on the metal legs of the bed,the shower wasn’t very clean and there wasn’t much room to sit on the toilet and not much room near the sink.

I honestly can say this is one of the best b&b we've stayed in at Weymouth, Simon and Vanessa was so welcoming. The view from our room was amazing and so was the breakfast. You can see the effort they put in to make your stay a comfortable as possible and it was clean and tidy all through

It was great staying at such a super guest house to explore Weymouth and surrounding area.

Excellent location, very close to railway station, on The Esplanade and with super views across beach and water. Shops, theatre, eateries are all nearby. Breakfasts at The Angove were delicious and plentiful, with good choice. The hosts were really lovely and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The guest house is beautifully decorated and in excellent condition. My room was lovely, a very comfy, clean bed, super shower and facilities, with an ever changing sea view 😊

Fabulous, welcoming, friendly, informative and truly relaxing.

This booking has been absolutely brilliant. Everything about The Angove is excellent. Simon and Vanessa has done a superb job. The house has been sympathetically renovated with a mixture of old and new. From the moment you walk through the front door there is this welcoming ambience. Everything is clean, the room we stayed in had a beautiful sea view. We cannot recommend The Angove enough. What a treat!! Thank you to the owners.

A nice place let down by false pictures and poor heating and water.

Location, staff, breakfast ,ambience

Pictures of rooms did not match the room we were given in size or decor. No heating on arrival, shower pressure low and water either too hot or cold, nothing in between, and fluctuated from hot to cold, quite dangerous.

Super Stay

The warm and friendly welcome from the hosts. Fantastic location and only a 5 minute walk from the railway station. Comfy and cosy room and the small fridge a real bonus. The location right on the seafront cannot be beaten. Breakfast was really excellent.

Bathroom was disappointing for the price point and room size it was too small and wasn’t up to the high standard of the room. Towel rail and shower were hanging loosely and needs attention. Toilet didn’t flush properly and it smelt of damp plus needs better attention to detail as paint on the tiles and hand towel rail and needs re-grouting. Breakfast was also a bit underwhelming-my eggs were anaemic and the bacon was undercooked.

Very good typical English breakfast. Freshly prepared & cooked with quality ingredients. A lovely hot pot of English breakfast tea. Prompt service. A nicely decorated sea view room with a comfy bed & modern en-suite shower room, with a good shower.

Breakfast start time was maybe a little late for us at 8.15am, but it wasn’t really an issue. Lack of blinds or net curtains at the sea front facing windows was a privacy issue, with the person next door able to look straight into our room from the balcony! Also we had to close the curtains to keep the room cool during the day. A very heavy duvet, unsuitable for hot summer nights.

Breakfast was really nice. View was lovely.

Beds were far too small and against a wall. Did not sleep as a result. Room extremely hot with a poor fan to use. Also, on the 3rd floor and although this was explained, access was difficult.

A Slice of Seaside Decadence

The Angove is a lovely place to stay - Simon and Vanessa are friendly and accommodating and have created a gorgeous little seaside bolthole. Cosy and clean, such a treat to have a seaview and hear the waves in the morning, followed by a delicious breakfast with plenty of choice. Thanks for a lovely stay 👍🏻

A lovely little spot right on the seafront. Good room, good facilities.

Advice on parking during the booking might be nice. We must have overlooked the permit offer before arriving and this made arrival a little less comfortable than necessary.
