The most lovely owner and her son are running The Lawrence. A beautiful Hotel literally 10 yards away from the sea. Delicious breakfast and comfortable room (no. 8 with sea view) including a cosy lounge at the first floor.
Everything was just splendid!

I loved my stay in this friendly family run hotel
It was warm and cosy it just had a nice atmosphere and feel to it.
I also loved the decor with all the interesting furniture and items related to Lawrence of Arabia.
Breakfast was delicious and hot, and a great choice of cereal jams juice and the all nicely presented
I can't wait to go back to beautiful Weymouth and I will be staying there again.
Car parking is at the end of the road
It's not a long walk
You can pull up at the side of the hotel to unload so really wasn't a problem

The owners were extremely helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel overlooks the sea and is in a brilliant location with on road or public car parking close by. The information concerning Laurence of Arabia and his family/career was fascinating and made the hotel unique.

Everything. breakfast verry good best I have had at any hotel we have ever stayed at
From door shut at 12 at night if you stayed out after that time you had to ring bell which your did not like to do. front door keys would be good idea and you can stay out if you wanted to and not disturb anyone

Unique, super comfortable room and keeping the stunning Georgian property to its original beauty. Fantastic breakfast.
Bathroom was tiny with little shelving for you to put wash bag and toiletries.

Absolutely perfect location close to everything and very interesting themed hotel featuring Lawrence of Arabia. Would have loved to read every single bit of information but didn’t have time. There will be a next time though. We loved it. Hosts were the politest we have ever met and the room, although described as small, was absolutely perfect and very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious.
Nothing at all!

Host friendly, lots of nice touches in room. Hand wash, slippers, fresh milk in room fridge and lovely fresh smelling clean white towels. Very clean room lovely clean sheets.
Not enough toilet roll in room, had to use tissues provided.I informed the hosts on departure. They said sorry.

Location was spot on, we stayed for the Ironman locally and the hotel was in walking distance of the transition, the race actually passes the hotel on the run.
The hotel is a an interesting homage to the great man himself LOA, each room looks like its themed a little bit and there is an interesting lounge area on the 2nd floor with a few of his belongings. Overall this theme was take it or leave it, its nice but not massively over bearing if history isn't your thing but a nice touch.
The owners we great, Richard and Teresa made us feel welcome and also had a bit of banter about 2 blokes sharing a bed due me swapping wife for mate :-) for the race.
What was really surprising was that they made an effort to get a race breakfast for us, overnight oats/yoghurt/coffee/boiled eggs/cereal/bread rolls etc, we didn't plan on this but made a difference to us.
We were also allowed to store the bikes in the office, not in the rooms. That also suited us fine.
Breakfast from 9-10am on non race day and was great with plenty of choice.
Not a case of not liking, small concerns but specifically for ironman peeps. There was nothing really to dislike.
No guarantee of close parking but we knew that, we parked at the Swannery car park a short walk away and left the car for a few days for around £15. Brought the car around for loading and unloading.
No bikes in the room might not suit some if staying longer but a. they were very accomodating in the office and b. not everyone is there with a bike :-)

This hotel is by far the nicest we’ve stayed at in all of our visits to Weymouth.
It’s perfectly located, close enough to the town to be very convenient, yet just far enough to be quiet and free of the drunken late-night noise!
Our room was probably in the best location too, peer out and round to the left and you can see the sea but much more importantly it was a side-facing room and doesn’t get the intense sunshine for many hours of the day and also avoids a lot of the traffic and pedestrian noise. It was nicely and seemingly newly decorated to a high level and if I was taking part in a monetised contest of ‘Find A Spec Of Dust’, I’d be absolutely broke! This place is immaculately clean throughout from the front door right to room. The small TV played Radio 1 while we’re getting dressed, the little fridge kept our wine, cider and freshly provided milk for the fully kitted out hot drink station, perfectly chilled.
I’m a heavy guy, and initially the very soft mattress made me worry that I’d not sleep particularly well and affect my back but was proven very wrong by 2 excellent nights sleep with zero discomfort.
Once I figured out that the shower / mixer tap worked the opposite way round to what I’m used to, we enjoyed a lovely and hot shower with the fancy stone / beaded shower head providing skin-tingling power.
There was enough closet and drawer space for a week away for a couple, maybe bring your own hangers if you’re bringing more than half a dozen shirts / dresses.
The breakfasts were cooked freshly and were the best, tastiest and oil-less breakfasts I’ve had on a mini-break. Excellent quality meats and cooked to perfection. A good choice of muesli / cereals on offer too, with fresh fruits available to go with the great choice of yoghurts.
The view out of the restaurant is looking directly over the beach and sea, a lovely setting.
The whole experience of this lovely hotel is topped off by the wonderful owners, Richard and Theresa.
There was nothing not to like.

Not a lot.
Proprietors were miserable. Nearly had my breakfast down me one morning as he could not be bothered to put tray on table nearby to pass breakfast . Put the tray nearly above my head to reach for breakfast. And they had a go at my husband for putting a wet towel to change in the shower. Where else are you meant to put them.

The hotel has unique one-of-a-kind historic character, the photos online do not do justice to how much it feels like a filming spot for a Hercule Poirot movie, we felt completely immersed in the atmosphere. The lounge on the first floor is incredibly beautiful and comfortable, perfect to enjoy sea views in the heat of the day or read a book while listening to the waves before going to sleep.
The location is outstanding as well, I cannot think of a better one in the whole town, especially if you are using Weymouth as a base to travel around the coast: the train and bus stations are both less than 5 minutes away, the beach is just across the road. It is very central but is just about far enough from the main attractions so that you get actual sea views and are not looking at the strobe lights of arcades and the fairground.
The breakfast alone is probably worth another visit as well. The Al'Ula breakfast that you can request the day before might just have been the most delicious and at the same time most authentic meals I have ever had, cannot recommend enough. Everything on the menu is cooked fresh to order in the morning.
The room was clean and had everything we needed, it was not noisy at all even on the weekend, there was definitely enough space for two people to be comfortable and even some fresh milk and biscuits for our tea in the room. It was also vey nice to be able to leave our suitcase in the luggage store before and after the stay.
It's a small family-run place, the owners were very kind and helpful, we had a lovely chat with them during breakfast, as well as a thorough introduction to the Al'Ula which was much appreciated. Would definitely come again!
Nothing important was missing and there weren't any issues.
The hotel is tiny and seems to be operated by 3-4 people, so of course it cannot run as seamlessly or quickly as a massive chain. But again, for someone who values unique experiences over perfection in facilities, Lawrence of Arabia is an easy recommend.

Breakfast was brilliant, freshly cooked. Excellent variety of food on offer. Good location to the station. They have an amazing lounge on the first floor. Over looking the sea. You can bring your own drinks if you like too.
The owners have a wealth of information all about Lawrence of Arabia. If you like history, you will love it
The owners are working hard to meet all your needs.
Super value too. They were happy to hold onto our luggage until our train home.
The shower head in our room, could be a little better.
Perhaps you don't need two chairs in the room either.

Love the owners, the couple were so lovely. Love the breakfast choices, comfy beds, clean rooms, fresh linens and towels and most of all the location. Beach just right across. Walking distance to merely everything. Lots of shops, cafes and restaurants around the area. Very close to the train station. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much for the warm welcome.
The lounge on the 2nd floor is a lovely place to chill. I think a good lighting and a bit of make-over should be done especially to the growing plants around it definitely need some tlc.

Location and close to train station.
Shame there was no bar facility in the gorgeous lounge with balcony and view.
Maybe an honesty bar would work. Advertise price with full fridge of drinks and an honesty box.

The location.
DO NOT STAY HERE. The owner was rude and abusive. The bed was uncomfortable. No curtain on the window, shower covered in limescale. Single glazed window so you hear all noise from outside. You only get shower gel, shampoo, toilet paper and coffee on the first day. When I asked about these, I got shouted at and was told that all the other guest bring their own. The plumbing in the bathroom, I have never seen anything like it. Every time we use it, it sounds like someone drilling into the wall and when the guests use the bathroom next door, we couldn't flush the toilet or wash our hands at night because of how loud it was. We were even asked to take our rubbish out and put it in the public bin across the road and you are not allowed to eat anything in your room. They say its a hotel but this isn't a hotel, its a B&B. if you call them they say its not a 24 hour service. If you're unlucky to stay here and you need to speak with them. DO NOT ask or complain about anything, if you do they will make your stay a living hell. Just suffer in silence or leave. I made the mistake and spoke with them about the issues the first morning and both husband and wife made our stay a nightmare. They are very twisted and will twist everything you say. There is lots more to say but I will finish here.

Owner looks upon his guest like dirt, found not at all polite and no consideration for my wife when she is in the room trying to get ready,by this I mean walking in room without politely knockiing door first

The property is very well decorated and has a great theme going. The room we had was very spacious and was absolutely spotless. The bed was really comfortable and we both slept very well. There was a fridge and fan in the room along with a good selection of tea and coffees. The milk was delivered in small glass bottles and always fresh. The breakfast was outstanding and well worth eating. The fried bread was out of this world. The owners were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Location was right on beachfront and easy to access town centre, local buses to go to other places.
Nothing to dislike

My partner Alan and I stayed here for two nights, lovely old building with lots of memorabilia and information related to Lawrence of Arabia (History buffs you will love this) which was very interesting.
Lovely beachfront location with a large shared lounge where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful panoramic sea views.
Room was very clean with a lovely comfortable bed.
The 7 Pillars breakfast was absolutely outstanding - all locally sourced produce - I am not normally a cooked breakfast fan but easily managed to wolf this down - uhmm - delicious.
The hosts Richard and Theresa were lovely and friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the area and everything regarding Lawrence of Arabia. We will definitely return here!
Mugs would of been better than tea cups but that’s just our personal preference!

Nice historic building, truly home cooked breakfasts, and interesting lounge on 2nd floor with lots of history books about the town and area.
We were in the sea view room and went to sleep each night with the full moon on the water, woke up to the sun rising over the cliffs.
Bathroom small but adequate. After all, it is an old inn on the historic registry.

We LOVED the Al'Ula breakfast for 2 which you need to order the previous day; the different middle eastern cheeses, Fava beans and peanut butter with the kuboos was pure heaven. An authentic Lawrence of Arabia experience with the amazing food, decor and stories of Saudi Arabia by the friendly hosts Teresa and Richard.
Lovely sea views from the lounge with the palms.
The room itself was comfortable, clean with a side view of the sea. The bathroom was clean and adequate.
All in all a memorable stay and would definitely recommend it to others visiting weymouth.
The hallway and lounge had a bit of a musty smell, but apart from that, everything was lovely.

8.0 / 10.0
The owners were lovely to chat to and they have created a really interesting place to stay.
The breakfast was excellent and nicely presented. I got adventurous and had the Al' Ula breakfast, which was a mixture of hot and cold dishes. A great opportunity to try something new.
Our room was delightfully decorated and very comfortable (best room in the house, overlooking the sea). The hotel is with easy access to the station and for getting into the town.
Our timing for our break wasn't good. We were there during a storm so the wind was very noisy. Also, we live in a really quiet place so we were very aware of road noise.
