I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend A Maiden Rest for cleanliness location and value for money

Excellent location good choice of breakfast and very nice

For me personally I didn’t find the beds comfortable as I suffer with my back and need to sleep on a hard mattress, but I wouldn’t like this to be a criticism as it’s down to personal choice in the end

Excellent seafront B&B.

This is an excellent seafront Bed & Breakfast. The view from the bedroom is sensational, the entire vista of Weymouth Bay, and the harbour in the distance. The full English breakfast is superb. Well-cooked and piping hot, as it should be.

Wonderful room, spectacular views and awesome breakfast.

The location was spectacular, especially as we had a sea view room. Breakfast was ample and tasty. We would return here.

The shower could have done with an extra clean on the walls and perhaps a shelf to put things. Other than that, it served its purpose.

This hotel has a great location and friendly staff but it needs some TLC to bring it yo the 21st century.

The hotel is on the waterfront with fabulous views of the water

The place is very outdated. My room had a sewage smell in the bathroom and there was very inadequate lighting in the bathroom.

Great cheap get away, great location with sea view. Can’t wait to return.

Staff could not do enough, from Dean meeting us on arrival to staff who served us breakfast. We were made to feel very welcome.

There is no parking, but there is very reasonable to park close by ( Swannery, or train station) There is a road at the side of the Maidens Inn where you can stay for 1 hour it gave us ample time to allow us to unload and load the car.

A very nice B&B

The room was clean and spacious enough for a family of 3. Our bedroom was situated on the top floor with the sea view, which was lovely. The owner is a very friendly person, breakfast was good and the staff were all very friendly and accommodating. We would recommend and we would return.

There were just the details, we struggled a bit with the noise coming from the outside and had to keep the windows closed, but it's not a fault of the owners of the place, as in general, it would be exactly the same if we chose to stay anywhere else in that area. There's not a car park option, unfortunately, but again, it's not a criticism. It's just to make you aware because it wasn't very clear to us when we were booking. We have parked our car at the Swannery car park, just a few minutes away from the property, we haven't had any issues and it wasn't expensive either as the parking was free of charge between 6pm and 8am and with the option of using JustPark app it was all very convenient.

Good location, good breakfast, but the room with hardly a window and no fan was a challenge

The location is really good. The breakfast was very well made.

The room was advertised with a side sea view and it was just a window facing another building. It was the only window and very small so it was very warm in there. Difficult night of sleep. We asked fo a fan and we were told they were all under use. It was very difficult to sleep with no air properly circulating in that room.

Fabulous! Wish we could stay longer

The choice at breakfast was fabulous thank you, the family toom was ideal and the attention to detail was fab. The location was ideal as was the fantastic meal we had at Enzo's a few doors down. We will definitely be back and wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you all+

Overall well, with a couple of things which could have been better

Kind staff, great location.

The mattress was too hard for me. Besides, as there weren't any table and chair, so the only place I could sit on was the table (or the toilet!). And the wifi connection didn't work most of the time, at least in my room on the third floor.

Location was good on the sea front, close to Railway station and the town centre. Good shower. Good breakfast. Would consider staying again.

No fan in room, very warm at night (rear facing room). No car parking (although long stay car park short walk away). Bed frames creaky.

Location was great.

Very dated en-suite is a cupboard in the room. Everything was dated and grubby. Cooked breakfast looked nice not much else if you don’t like cooked breakfast.

Great location, clean and comfortable

I liked the location and the owner was very helpful and pleasant. The room was nice and light and clean. I appreciated that they came in and made our beds whilst we were out. Also the breakfast was good and liked the hot places and fruit was very tasty which it often isn’t.

The shower in the family room only have out very hot water. It was a very hot weekend so could have done with a cold water option. Perhaps the owner will see this and look into it.

We visited as we wanted to rekindle our meeting in Weymouth in 1962,Married for 60 years.

Breakfast was served very well, and it was hot and exactly what we asked for. Ollie was more than helpful and cheerful. Our room was very clean and comfortable.

The view out of our bedroom window Room 20. I was a bit worried what I would have done if we were taken ill in the night. Knew 999 for fire on instructions.

Good value for money.

The room was spacious yet cosy, and the beds were comfortable. It was clean. A nice breeze come through the windows when they were opened which was great for temperature control. The breakfast was really delicious!

The shower pressure for lukewarm water was very low. Also there were only 4 mugs although it was 4 of us staying.

Beautiful views and amazingly comfy beds

The location was excellent - great for town, the beach and the station. The room was light and airy with huge windows, and the beds were so comfortable. I was especially impressed by how soft and silky the bed linen was. I slept so well.

It’s only a small thing but because I wear makeup it would have been nice to have a mirror in the main room where there’s more light.
