A Maiden Rest

Breakfast was freshly cooked and plentiful. Lots of fresh fruit and cereals, all very well presented. Lovely vibrant atmosphere.

I enjoyed a lovely stay, in a room with sea views, a very comfy and clean bed, super shower and delicious breakfasts. Great location on the Esplanade and minutes from the railway station, buses, shops and eateries, and not far to walk to the Pavilion Theatre. The team were delightful and attentive.

Overall the experience was fair. Modernisation of rooms and maybe a bit of feminine touches would also improve . But staff friendly and helpful so no complaints there. Breakfast good with plenty of fruit and cereal to start the day. Location was pretty good as well. Balcony terrace and sea view bonus.

The room needs to be updated. There is peeling wall paper and it lacks a bit of finesse. Bathroom was quite small and tough to get in and around. Although a window could be opened no air conditioning or fans, same as the breakfast seating area no fans to keep guests cool so having breakfast and sweating. Staff need to make sure people do sit at the allocated tables to avoid confusion or annoyed patrons.The only downside is there is no filtered coffee available just instant but plenty of fruits and cereals to help yourself with. Overall the experience was fair. Refreshing the rooms maybe one at a time and it could vastly improve.
