Staff had that illusive combination of efficiency and friendliness. Excellent value for money.

A very friendly staff. My room was clean with a comfortable bed and the en-suite facilities were likewise very clean with a shower that was easy to operate. The breakfast was very good and the staff were keen to ensure that I was extremely well catered for. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

I will definitely return

Firstly the meet and greet was excellent, my main concern was the parking which was easily resolved with a free parking permit.having a wonderful little pub as an annexe an added bonus for 2 real ale drinkers.excellent staff from front desk to kitchen.

Good size room and en suite. Hotel convenient for public transport, shops and seafront. Good choice of breakfast food.

"Free parking" entailed having a permit to use an open public car park 100 metres from the hotel. Cracked window pane in the bedroom. Squeaky bed.

The place was very tired, the bed very uncomfortable and the shower had very little power, more of a dribble

It served my purposes well.

I chose to stay at the Clifton Hotel because of its location, immediately opposite the railway station and taxi rank - both of which I needed to use. The exterior of the building and the environment are a bit scruffy, but inside the hotel part of the building everything seemed to be clean and tidy, and provided everything I wanted. I asked for an early breakfast on my second day and that was provided willingly.

I could not get the remote controls for the television in my room to work, but that may be due to my lack of technological knowledge. Perhaps some basic instructions can be provided in the hotel information folder.

Proximity to all facilities was excellent.

Could be a little noisy in a morning due to it being next to the train station but it was no major problem. It didn't really disturb us and it was quiet at night.

The location is great for being able to get to all amenities. Breakfast was really good. Lots of choice & plentiful. The staff were all friendly & helpful.

Perfect for a night,weekend or longer.

Room was lovely. Shower amazing. All clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was perfect. Plenty of tea/coffee etc in room. We bought extra milk which we stood in cold water in the sink and found it in a bucket of cold water after room was cleaned. Little touches like that made it all the better. Will definitely stay again. Thank you.

Perfect for what we needed.

The room was plenty big enough. Hotel in very good location. Breakfast was quite small but tasted much better than it looked. Would recommend for a short stay but if staying for more than a few nights I would recommend somewhere a bit fancier. But perfect for couple of nights away.

The bed was to soft for my liking, the shower pressure was very low only negatives i have with it.

Good location easy for beach,shops and harbour.parking pass was useful 5 minutes walk from the property.room very clean and tidy.i ended up with a double room which was a bonus. Nice breakfast cooked to order with plenty of options. Property is located above a busy pub,access is separate so no need to go through the bar. Would definitely use again for a short stay

Great location, just opposite the train station. Free parking about 500m from the hotel using hotel parking permit. Friendly welcome, comfortable room with newly refurbished shower room. Excellent breakfast.
