Nice little stay in a lovely town.

Lovely location.

The bathroom was very cold and the windows were drafty. Also there was no disabled access for someone with a wheelchair.

Location was good

The hotel confirmed to us via email there would be cots available on arrival, but when we checked in they said it wasn't confirmed by them which is a complete lie, they said they only had 4 cots in the hotel which were all handed out already, also we showed them the conformation email for the cot and the hotel staff still denied it. Also the rooms were not very clean and the windows are filthy, and it's the complete opposite of what it showed on the picture.

That it was on the sea front

It was dirty bogeys on the wall bedroom dirty. Towels had hair on it, not clean Staff were rude honestly a terrible hotel

Right by paradise

First time to wealth and won't be my last. Lovely hotel,staff,food and location right opposite the beach. Some decor is dated but it all in the process of being updated. We had one of the updated rooms at the back of hotel and it was really nice with a big walk in shower in the bathroom Beds were really comfortable and towels were so soft. Nightly entertainment with quiz, bingo and a different singer every night Barry as Elvis was amazing.

Just that we didnt book with food, we wouldn't have had breakfast anyway but evening meal was nice

Value for money

Staff were not friendly and quite rude in the way they spoke to us, they gave the impression they didn't want to be there. Especially the lady on reception who I witnessed being rude to another elderly guest. And the girls serving breakfast. Such a shame

The hotel was spacious, the staff are really friendly and extremely helpful, the rooms were clean, and the beds were really comfortable, great location, we will definitely be staying again.

We had a great stay. Good location, quiet area, family room was clean and had everything we needed, matched the photos on the website. The woman at the reception -one love, very kindly,professional and polite, she checked us in within minutes, gave recommendations and finally gave my son a gift.

The only problem was the lack of internet, but we liked it, we did a social media detox))

A lovely hotel in a perfect location. Decor was a tad tired but over all the hotel was clean and staff were friendly. We were allowed to check in early which was a nice gesture.

Someone banged on our door then put a key in snd came in to our room not happy Then at 730 in the morningThe Told us it was fully booked even though we a confirmed booking got our room hot tap in bathroom spun round and then all sorts of noi through the night

was told there was wifi and that wasn’t the case. the reception smelt dreadful. didn’t receive breakfast. found a big bogey in the sink when we went into our room.

Being told it included breakfast but when we went to restaurant for it it was full of coach trippers and was told we don't cater for booking.com stayers. I had asked previous night where to go and time. Went to reception we were told again we don't cater for booking.com and should have had break box, even that didn't materialise. Got refunded £5

Crap

Didn’t have breakfast . We payed £89 for a bed . The road noise was awful and didn’t stop all night. The room was very tired and old . No complementary shampoo, conditioner or welcome pack. If there had of been there was no hairdryer anyway ☹️ Worse hotel we have ever been in

Wallpaper coming off the walls dirty duvet smelly greasy pillows under clean pillowcases. Photos of the bedroom. I was disgusted never in my life have I stayed in such a dive.

Hotel was central for what we wanted,basic conditions in room not satisfactory

Location excellent we didn't eat at the hotel

The condition of the room was very poor, there was a water mark on the wallpaper behind the bed and ceiling ,there was black mould up the pipe into the shower room, no bath towel just a small hand towel, hair on the tiles, chip in the mug, bed linen didn't match, waste bin wasn't emptied and milk not replenished so couldn't have a cup of tea on morning that we left, blind at window was missing some strips

Attitude (needs refining), parking (no plan, chaotic, subject to non-guests blocking you in), facilities (need updating/repairing), breakfast ('continental' ordered due to COVID19(?), only received x1 out of x4 days for my daughter and I; getting a reimbursement was painful). Overall, rather disappointing. Hotel(s) Berkley and Rex are much better from previous experience.

Enjoyed our stay but it wasn't hassle free!

We booked to include Breakfast but were told on arrival that the cooked breakfast was for the coach parties only and that as we had booked independently we were only entitled to a brown bag to be delivered to our room in the morning! This was not mentioned on the booking.com website! The location was very good, opposite the beach & close to town, the staff were amazing and worked very hard. Parking is non existent!

Mis leading information

Location

Very outdated hotel, our room (138) shower was only a trickle! Room curtains had holes, badly worn & let day light through, bathroom floor tiles cracked, musty smell from toilet and hall way, ceiling cracked, needs decorating! Very noisy family (139) television loud until gone 11pm, noise, door slamming, shouting! Told we could book evening meal telephoned & asked before we arrived, on arrival it was said no we couldn’t, coach parties only, & continental breakfast brought to your room, we declined the breakfast, & went to spoons! If we had been staying for more than 2 nights we would not of accepted this room - shame, as we love Weymouth, but definitely wouldn’t stay at Russel again! A very, very, basic hotel ☹️

Should be cleaner. Clump of hair found on towel.. Better breakfast. Updating decor. Should have half decent soap/shampoo. Not the terrible stuff they are using at the moment. Horrible small shower. Very dated throughout hotel.
