The staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean as was the hotel, although it was a little tired looking and in need of some tlc. However that was a minor issue.

It was a lovely hotel I would definitely stay again. It was a last minute booking and I wasn't expecting much. I walked into room it had a huge double and a sea view and it was very clean. It was a very very reasonable price for 3 nights especially with a sea view which I wasn't expecting. I am moving to Weymouth and will definitely recomend it to any of my friends who are visiting. I really was impressed.

We had a wonderful stay but the check in was nightmare had to wait 25 mins to get the key to the room. Staff blamed it on system error and poor internet reception.

Receptionist kept us waiting for about 40mins to check us in. Kept scanning our IDs again and again. Horrible experience. The toilet roll was just half. Car park at the back is very very tight. There is no exit until cars in the front are moved.

We enjoyed our short stay overall - the hotel is in an amazing seafront location with an easy walk to the town. Parking was also simple and safe. However, our room was in the basement with weak Wi-fi (we assumed we got put down there as we were a last-minute booking). We were also disappointed to find a used, stained towel in our shower upon arrival, which took some time to be replaced. I would recommend this hotel if you get a proper room.

Hotel is old style, which is not a problem. The size of the room is good. The noise of the flush was very loud. Bed was comfortable, plenty of tea and coffee available. The breakfast service was very slow and the staff was a bit stingy with everything. Overall, ok for one night.

Hotels very run down, mainly pensioners there that arrive on coaches, breakfast is poor not buffet you have to fill a slip saying what choices you want i never felt full up either day, they even forgot about us on our second morning and had put someone else on our table, the manager woman was pretty rude, didnt even apologise for this. She just said oh your here for two nights? we stood around while they had to prep a table for us. Then waited a long time foe our hot food they also wouldnt let my seven year old with sensory issues have a secnt croissant as he didnt like any of the hot food. Wouldnt go there again ever.

Got a family room (5people) with sea view which was freshly renovated clean and spacious. Newly furnished, new comfy mattresses large winfow facing the sea. Bathroom freshly renovated and modern with shower cubicle. The pictures in the listing were taken before renovation and doesn't do the justice. I was impressed with the room. Parking at the back of the property tight but available. Pool table, darts and evening entertainment in the basement. Pleasant stay just staff running around and hard to find in the reception. Perfect location

It’s probably one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in in all our holidays across the country and abroad .this was the view from our room and it was so run down our room was so un clean if you put your fingers on the was and dado rail you had black dust on you the window was held up by a piece of wood and they didn’t even open properly we had a small fan the room temperature was well over 30 degrees but not one window could open the floors were not mopped or hooved and the bathroom was not clean at all

Spent almost 2 hours talking with expedia and hotel staff for reservation fee refund. I was charged by both expedia and hotel while checking time. Both of parties unable to fix the issue. Could not able to sleep well due to smell of newly painted rooms.

The staff couldn't be more helpful. The hotel however, was run down, tired, falling apart. The carpet was thread bare on the stairs. Our room, the bathroom architrave was coming away from the wall. There was no mastic around the base of the toilet. The macerator absolutely stank of singed/burnt hair. The mattress on the big bed was so old and tired, you could feel the springs. The single beds were no better. The curtains were falling off and couldn't close them completely. Then, I was woken up at 06:30 with very loud banging (construction work was happening the night before inside the hotel) not sure if it was the hotel or another guest. The only other positive was the bar was reasonably priced.

Room tired but clean. Bed clean and comfortable. Water hot. Only saw first floor and paper peeling off corridors and bedroom walls... Staff mostly helpful but given room key and no other information about hotel facilities or breakfast procedure....until we asked later on... Restaurant 3 couse set meal or nothing...so no choice. No information folder in room...no shower gel in dispencer...no plastic cups or bottled water in room....breakfast times changed depending on coach parties departures...on arrival one bar closed and coffee shop closed for 2 days... Toni on breakfasts was extra helpful and friendly...she was brill....

Lovely hotel on the seafront. Room was very spacious but quite dated. The room was clean but there were some spots that could have been cleaner. My only concern was that another guest managed to get into our room with the key to her room which was a bit worrying, as I assumed the keys were just for the room you were in. Pillows were a bit too hard for my preference. Overall though, I think I would stay here again as it’s very handy for all the town centre and the beach.

This hotel desperately needs serious investment. Everywhere you look you find chipped paint, scuffed stained surfaces and chipped tiles. The bathroom in our room was disgusting - we couldn't face using it for a shower. On the flip side the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Dear Hotels.com, First of all, I would like to direct this message directly to hotels.com and not Hotel prince regent, as you know Hotel prince regent did give me a refund for misleading information by Hotels.com. As you can see on the booking, it does not state continental breakfast. It clearly only says breakfast included. I have never seen any website saying cooked and uncooked breakfast??? As you said in the email below, the money was refunded however you failed to see the point. I booked this holiday back in April to bring my mum who was in her old age. I didn't book this holiday and travel 4 hours by car to get a refund. Am I stupid to go all the way to Weymouth to get a refund? I brought my mum who was 76 and it was huge disappointment to her. You think once you refunded 30 pounds the problem is resolved. It is not about the money but disappointment, dissatisfaction and misleading information posted on Hotels.com website. It is very deceiving information. The hotel receptionist told me many customers who booked vis hotels.com were disappointed when they came to check-in. So, I am not the only victim but many others too. I want you to remove this misleading information as soon as possible from the website and do not do this to your customers again. Sherine Joseph

Free carpark at rear, caused damage to my car due to damage kerb stones on entry to carpark. Hotel very dated and requires updates and some paint in places. Lots of road noise ,continually through out the day and night.

We my son and I arrived on the due date the check in was ok and given a sea view room. However, I booked a twin room only to find a double bed so I went back to reception and was told to split the beds as there was no house keeping. I politely asked for extra bedding and the receptionist looked confused and asked why. Trying to tell someone you need to make two beds out of one shouldn’t be difficult but it was. Whilst splitting the bed we noticed blood on one of the pillows. Because we booked online we could only have breakfast in our room. I’m no snob but I have never eaten cereal in a box that you pour milk into and eat with a wooden spoon. I feel for £149 per room for the night was a total rip off

Pretty average place charging more than they ought to. Beware of " breakfast included" - you will get a croissant, packet of cereal and banana left at your doorstep. This is " because of covid restrictions". For the money, least they can do is provide that as a courtesy free of charge. Insulting really.

I stay in weymouth once a month for work. This hotel was the worst i have stayed in. Rooms were older than my mum and dad, if you own anything bigger than a nissan micra good luck in getting in the car park. No shower curtain so water was all over the bathroom floor. Handles missing off draws. No what i expcet for a £115 a night room. Will never nook there again.

On arrival our room had bad water damage from the rain that day so we couldn’t access the room until after 8pm! Apparently there was more than 10 rooms effected? And it smelt badly of damp! I would have thought they could have fixed this issue when they were in lockdown but probably don’t want to spend the money! So just keep hiring the rooms out when they are not in a good state! The room was so old and in need of refurbishment like the rest of the hotel, the photos online show it as being nice but don’t be fooled! The wallpaper in our room and the bathroom was peeling off! It wasn’t very clean as there was dust and dirt everywhere, on the skirtings, tv, ledges and around the bathroom edges. The bathroom shower curtain and soap dispenser fell down, the handles on the bath we’re rusty and unstable plus the water coming out the bath tap was so fierce and then it wouldn’t drain in the bath so we were standing in water when showering. The carpet looked in need of a good clean. We wouldn’t stay there again but the older generation seemed to like it as it was full of older people who obviously don’t like changes! They had entertainment in the bar at night which was nice to have something to do but some of the singers were so bad it was like karaoke!! It was like bring your son and daughter to work week because they are off from school so let’s get singing to earn their keep?! The bar ran out of crisps one night and we only brought 4 packets! Glad we only stayed 4 nights!

It was very pretty in the wesite pictures but when we got there we were shocked. The rooms were very dated, very old style. Shower was terrible, water was dripping and cannot have proper shower. I complained but no action taken by the hotel. I was very disappointed with the room. however the hotel was in front of the sea that was the advantage.

It was the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. The rooms were in a poor state (I had mold in my bathroom), the main restaurant had zero social distancing and my nieces room was not cleaned when she checked in and it took us two days of requests and complaints to just get the filthy sheets changed on her bed.
