We had a great stay at the hotel. The location is perfect. I took my mum for her birthday. The check in staff noticed and arranged a treat. All the staff were great but special mentions to the desk staff and Greg from the hotel bar. The breakfast was great and well worth it. The rooms were very comfortable. Only comment (particularly for British guests) was that the rooms did not have kettles. Not sure if the hotel provides the on request but, if you are like my mum and live on tea, it’s worth taking a travel kettle.

Room was nice, except right above a noisy restaurant... Luckily the noise subsided by midnight on Saturday, and the restaurant was mercifully closed on Sunday. Otherwise, a nice comfortable room, and the staff were friendly.

Beyond EXCELLENT!! This was probably one of the nicest hotels my husband and I have stayed at. The breakfast was simply amazing. So many choices! From fresh bread and fruit, to salmon, eggs, and sausage and countless pastries! Best breakfast from a hotel we ever enjoyed! Please, stay here if you come to Innsbruck!

Great location, steps from old town, attached to a mall with great breakfast options. Friendly front desk stuff. Rooms were comfortable. Loved the rooftop bar. Thought we had breakfast included but it wasn't.

On the positive side, the location was great, the rooms are nice and spacious, and the staff were friendly. However, we felt this place was overpriced and could not figure out why it was rated highly by others. The beds and pillows were uncomfortable. The WiFi would not work half the time. The shower got luke warm at best and wouldn't drain well. Seems like they need to put some money into upgrading the facilities and I'm sure when this place was built, it was a great hotel but they don't seem to have kept it up over the past 20 years.

Superb, modern hotel in the old town - an easy walk to the river, residenz, Hofkirche, cathedral and Nordkettenbahn funicular. Staff in all areas fantastic. The highlights for us were the excellent choice of a wide range of high quality hot and cold food for breakfast and the rooftop location (with views over the city and mountains) of both the breakfast room and Terrace Bar. Would highly recommend.

Short one night stay passing thru on the way to Italy from Prague .. hotel felt very business centered which was fine .. efficient functional and especially appreciated parking under the hotel by the elevators making it easy to get the bags up Breakfast was odd .. lots of sweets and fruit but limited cheeses .. odd for Austria in my experience Hidden away Restaurant the reception recommended was awesome

Terrific hotel with wonderful staff. Our room was clean and comfortable with beautiful linens, comfortable pillows and lovely toiletries. Loved having the bar fridge to store my milk for my tea in the mornings. Enjoyed the exceptional hot and cold breakfast buffet along with a lovely drink in the bar in the evening. Just perfect to walk everywhere and appreciated the free transportation card.

This is the only place I want to keep going back to in innsbruck, even though i've stayed at several places there... It is chic, convenient, has a mind bogglingly amazing breakfast with at least twenty types of jams, a dozen types of yogurts, so many exotic fruits, plus the sausage and eggs that one expects. Rooms are clean and convenient. The only drawbacks I would mention are that some of the rooms are above an outdoor bar that can be noisy and have smoking, and the sink faucet handles are fully smooth, so with wet hands, it's hard to turn them on or off. However, the top floor glass bar and breakfast area has views to die for- I wouldn't want to be any other place! Originally, I had been disappointed that I did not get into Stage 12 but I looked at that property and their breakfast area and bar are both on the ground floor in a courtyard right beneath the rooftop bar and restaurant the Penz- same owners.. but for my money, I'd rather have the views.
