Clean, quiet and walking distance to PPG

Room is outdated, needs renovating Maid service was not done the two days because both days they came late afternoon when we were back in the room and we refused. Staff was very nice and friendly. Valet service was excellent

Staff great. Cleaning service missed a few things like the ice bucket and some glasses. The construction started with power tools at 8AM. Not cool.

Perfect location.

Recently stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton for a short trip, and overall, it was a solid experience that met most of my expectations for a reliable chain hotel. The location was convenient, close to key attractions and easy to access, which made getting around hassle-free. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were friendly and professional—shoutout to the front desk team for their warm welcome and quick assistance with any questions I had. The room itself was spacious and well-appointed, with comfortable bedding and modern amenities like a flat-screen TV, coffee maker, and decent Wi-Fi. I appreciated the signature warm cookie upon arrival; it’s a nice touch that always brightens the start of a stay. The on-site restaurant offered good breakfast options, and the fitness center was adequately equipped for a quick workout. That said, cleanliness was a bit hit-or-miss. While the common areas were spotless, my room could have used a more thorough deep clean—there were some dust buildup in corners and minor stains on the carpet that detracted from the otherwise cozy vibe. I mentioned it to housekeeping, and they addressed it promptly, but it’s something the hotel could improve on for future guests. Value-wise, it felt fair for the price, especially if you’re a Hilton Honors member and can snag perks like upgrades or points. Spacious suite but tiny bathroom

Rooms are pretty rough. Had to have a butt print cleaned off the window. The staff was responsive, but it took them two trips, the second with me supervising, to get the window clean. Downtown Pittsburgh is awful, but this place is trying to be better. The restaurant is pretty good so you don't need to be out after dark. Buy the breakfast coupons, it saves you a pile of money.

Great stay

Room had no ac. Key cards didnt work. Workers had to come upstair to let me in multiple times.

We reserved our room in July. When we arrived to check in there was no parking available. We were referred to another lot nearby. When we left the next morning there were cars lined up waiting to pay their parking bill. It took over 30 minutes to get out since payment was only accepted by using the phone app which was slow and very cumbersome. Also, when we returned to the hotel after a concert that evening, two of the elevators in the lobby were not working resulting in long lines before you could back to your room. All in all very disappointing.

Room wasn't cleaned, garbage cans had trash from prior tenant. Coffee wasn't restocked, only empty wrappers from prior tenant. In the bathroom we found used makeup remover towelettes. Gross.

Parking was not available at the hotel as stated. There was a public garage across the street that the hotel provided a code but it was a fee each time you came and went. This was highly inconvenient.

Room was nice but noisy. Main complaint-- stated the room had a blow dryer and I didn't take mine-- it didn't. Getting ready the next morning was interesting.

Staff couldn’t be more helpful and nice. Suite was wonderful and clean. Bed was fantastic. Would recommend and stay again.

Parking was easy and secure-they keep warm cookies at the front desk that are great!

I wnjoyed the location. Our room looked dated and old. Other than that my stay was fine.

The staff was soooooo friendly and helpful.they need to upgrade the rooms. Bathrooms specifically were below standard. Fruit flies peeling bath tub. Honestly the worst bath experience I’ve had at any hotel. Also terrible pool.

Clean room, friendly staff.

My toilet leaked onto the bathroom floor and into the carpet. I immediately packed my bags and left. I want a refund. I went to the Hyatt and had a lovely stay. This is the second time I stayed at the Double Tree. Last year I didn’t have hot water for 3 days and my room was dirty. The Propery is dirty. The bed linens were used. This time I refused to stay there and left. I will not be back to the Double Tree Pittsburgh ever again.

Most of the staff was quite polite and accommodating. However, there was a Caucasian valet parking attendant who was quite rude to myself and my daughter. He wouldn’t allow us access to our car to retrieve several items and told us we simply had to wait until everyone else got their cars delivered. We waited over an hour and he never returned to help us. Fortunately, my husband was not in the immediate vicinity. Had he been, the way the valet spoke to us would have been dealt with a lot differently. He was very unprofessional and dismissive.

Very friendly guy at the front desk who welcomed us with warm choc chip cookies and game our dog a dog treat. All 3 of us were thrilled. Good hotel in a great location downtown Pittsburgh. Good walking trails along the river and great nearby dining options too. Felt safe walking around.

The rooms need a serious upgrade. I paid a lot of money to stay there but I received nothing in terms of quality.
