IARSERA rooms and apartment

Lucca is a tiny walled town, but don't let its size fool you. Host Carlo will kindly share his deep expertise on all things Lucca including trattorias, bakeries, ice cream shops, cocktail bars and excursions (be sure to walk around, in, under and out the old city walls, which are some of the best preserved in Europe if not the best). The stay itself was really comfortable, as our room at IARSERA was extremely well kept, it all seemed almost brand new. Appliances and architectural details were of great quality, with beautiful windows. The bathroom was sumptuous, specially after a long beach day at Viareggio. Our room also had a mini fridge and an electric kettle, which we made good use of. Carlo was kind enough to pick us up from the station with his car, as it can get a bit tricky to reach the hostel walking (outside its walls and its historic center, Lucca is pretty much a non-walkable city, all freeways and little to none sidewalks), but once you get the feel of it you'll be fine walking down to the center or to the train station. Needless to say, the outer city is best enjoyed with a car, and IARSERA offers free parking space. It was an extremely positive experience and very commendable!

Sehr freundlicher Empfang durch den Gastgeber. Angenehmes, komfortables Zimmer mit Klimaanlage. 10-15 Minuten Fußweg bis zur Stadtmauer Unterstellplatz für unsere Fahrräder. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
