I had a wonderful stay at Home Sweet Home in Lucca. The owner was extremely helpful and kindly allowed me to check in earlier than scheduled, which was greatly appreciated after a long journey. He also provided secure parking for my motorbike, making my stay even more convenient.
The accommodation was spotless, very clean, and well maintained. Everything was comfortable and exactly as described. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Lucca and would happily stay here again.

Nice building and garden, room was part of a two bedroom apartment, with kitchen and lounge area, as well as shared bathroom. Clean and comfortable. Staff were responsive online.
Confronted by four mosquitos in my room, not an ideal welcome. No nets on the windows, which were presumably opened by the cleaning staff to air the rooms. Plug in mosquito repellant devices available in each room, but not an ideal welcome to need to fumigate the room. Happily, I caught all four mosquitos manually, turned out it was all of them! Window nets needed.
Accommodation is located about 30 minute walk from the train station, and similar distance to town centre, no shops in the nearby vicinity.

Quiet side road.
One shared bathroom for two rooms.
Worn furniture.
After confirmed booking I was asked to send a copy of my passport over whatsapp to get the self check-in access. After I refused there was no reaction from host any more. Needed to involve booking.com to get an answer :(
