Nice building and garden, room was part of a two bedroom apartment, with kitchen and lounge area, as well as shared bathroom. Clean and comfortable. Staff were responsive online.
Confronted by four mosquitos in my room, not an ideal welcome. No nets on the windows, which were presumably opened by the cleaning staff to air the rooms. Plug in mosquito repellant devices available in each room, but not an ideal welcome to need to fumigate the room. Happily, I caught all four mosquitos manually, turned out it was all of them! Window nets needed.
Accommodation is located about 30 minute walk from the train station, and similar distance to town centre, no shops in the nearby vicinity.

A bit challenging to get into first contact but then the second host came and all was handled in the best way.

Quiet house and comfortable room. The owner was very very good with communication
A long walk from anywhere in downtown Lucca. There was no light on when I arrived in the evening and the street was dark so I had difficulty finding the gate to go in. Fortunately another guest arrived at the same time. The house had no lights on at all and the keys were in a box which meant I had to use the torch on my mobile to work the code!
And then there was a request to leave the city tax as cash in the room which meant looking for a cash point nearby and getting the right amount of loose change. This was very inconvenient especially if you come from abroad and don’t have coins. I would’ve preferred to do a transfer.
