We try to always stay here when travelling through Lucca. The owners are delightful and the room clean & comfortable. Breakfast is always varied and (too) plentiful. There’s very secure off road parking, which is a huge advantage for us. Walking into the old town is quick and easy.
Nothing to dislike. It’s a shame we often travel in winter when La Chiusa is closed, so we have to stay elsewhere.

Super stylish, clean and the most friendly hosts! The owners are so kind, they make you the most tasty breakfast and are very friendly and hospitable. I felt very welcome. Cannot wait to go back!

This place really was exceptional. The family who owns and runs this property were so conversational and friendly, which I especially appreciated as a solo traveller. It is just a short walk to the old town of Lucca, and not even that far or difficult to walk to the train station. The room and the property overall had actual character and charm. Breakfast was amazing each day (I stayed for three nights), and if I'm ever lucky enough to visit Lucca again, I'd stay here again without hesitation.
