The location was excellent for getting in to the walled city if you want to stay just out of it. The room and facilities are great. The staff were very helpful and friendly and welcoming. The breakfast allowance at the patisserie next door was more than enough very busy but shows how popular the place is with locals always a good sign. Would recommend this place to any body who is planning on visiting Lucca as a place to stay.

Ten minute walk from the old city, which is perfect, as I don’t like being in the centre, as it can be a bit noisy. The owner is really what makes the place special. She is willing to help out with any extra needs that you might have, and answers text messages almost immediately, even after hours. Breakfast was at a café beside the hotel, and seemed to be mostly frequented by locals. High ceilings, which makes it feel more spacious. Overall, just what I needed.
Bathroom was a bit tiny, and I had to sit sideways on the toilet, but that may be different in different rooms.

we booked included breakfast, but only got a 4€ voucher for a cafe next door. also a very noisy building!
