We felt like we were on a cruise ship - the water is just outside the window (so cool)! Loved all the space that we had as well. The hosts left us some water bottles which was thoughtful. It was also nice to have access to the kitchen and there were some spices/tea/coffee that we were able to use. Also were happy to find plenty of shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

The kitchen was a bit more outdated than in the pictures, and the apartment is not in a walkable area (but we expected this).

I like the view and location

bed was bit noisy when you move the sides other then that whole place was 10 out of 10

The location is amazing, with a great view over the Forth. The venue was quiet and had good transport links, via the tram or No 11 bus into central Edinburgh. There is also an Asda supermarket nearby and plenty of places to eat and drink, one of which had the best fish & chips I've ever eaten.

On our first morning, we found that the plunger for sink in an en-suite bathroom was broken and so couldn't be emptied, making it unusable for the remainder of our stay.. I messaged the host about this on two occasions, but received no reply until the after we had left (4 days later) The sink in the other bathroom was very slow to empty. As was the walk-in shower in the first bathroom, which resulted in standing in several inches of water each time. There were stains of some of the bedding and oddly, only enough pillow cases for one pillow per person. So, if you wanted a 2nd pillow, you needed to use it without a pillowcase. We didn't realise until afterwards that the plumbing problems we encountered had also been experienced by previous visitors. The bedrooms each have second bed, making them quite cramped. The property is expensive and we did not feel that it was worth the money we paid. It is a shame as the property has great potential, but it needs some significant maintenance and improvements before it is worth the price. Plus, the host should really respond to messages and issues in a timely manner.
