The potential this property has and the space it had.
Very disappointing stay property not prepared, poorly maintained, and unsafe
When we entered the property in November, the heating was not turned on. The house was stone cold and clearly not prepared for guests.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by buckets of paint around the property, which made it feel unfinished and unprofessional, as if renovation work was ongoing. The carpets throughout the property were old and unclean.
One of the bedrooms had an en-suite bathroom, but the sink was wobbly and unstable. Many light bulbs throughout the property were not working. Several wardrobe mirrors were cracked, which is a serious safety hazard, especially for families with young children.
The main bathroom at the end of the hallway was shocking, loose and cracked tiles, a brick placed under the toilet, and a broken, leaking shower head.
The dining area had a long table that was cracked and chipped. The small table next to the sofa was broken and barely holding together. The TV was not properly set up and slanting, and several bulbs in the dining area were not working.
The kitchen equipment, including cups and plates, was dirty, stained, and had a strong unpleasant smell. The garden was completely unkempt, with dirty cushions left outside, brooms left on the floor, and general mess everywhere.
Most concerning of all, there was visible mould in one of the rooms, and the smell of mould was very strong and unmistakable.
This is the most honest review we can leave to warn future guests, having stayed here I truly question the authenticity of the other reviews. The damages and issues of this property are not even listed in the description. We strongly advise people NOT to book this property at all. The hosts were avoidant when it came to addressing the issues, unwilling to properly compensate, and were also unresponsive regarding the return of a coat that was left behind by one of our guests.
