Halfway decent stay, very unpleasant issue with hosts

Large, well-located apartment. Suitable for groups.

We had a major issue with the hosts. They rudely and persistently demanded extra payment for the damaged apartment key lock box, located on the outside, accessible to anyone from the road, even if we were not the ones responsible for the damage. Besides, the shower of the smallest bathroom was quite clogged, possibly due to bad cleaning. We were provided with only one bath towel per person, despite a set of towels should have been available to each guest according to previous communications.

The second bathroom has no ventilation or window so the steam is stuck there after showering.

Fantastic period flat in brilliant location

Superb location and a lovely 'period' flat dating back to 1825. Very well equipped and the jacuzzi bath in particular was much enjoyed.

Nothing - it was excellent. Though it's a steep climb up 3 flights of stairs so wouldn't really be suitable for elderly people or those with walking problems

A beautiful three bed apartment just outside the city centre

It's a beautiful restored apartment, well equipped with shops and public transport nearby. There is relatively cheap parking possible outside and free at weekends. Finding a three bedroom apartment is difficult so this is a rarity.

The access instructions were unclear - the email on booking said that instructions would come a week beforehand but nothing came and I only got the code a few hours before arrival which was worrying.

Brilliant views of Edinburgh

The apartment was comfortable, clean and spacious - the temperature was just right. The family enjoyed the Spa Bath.

I think I missed the fact that the apartment was on the top floor - I noted it when the owners contacted me shortly before our visit - I am over 70 years old and although fit for my age would have preferred accommodation which was easier to access. The family were disappointed with the quality of the TV - they are used to a much better quality set - the sound was very poor - on holiday the TV is not watched a great deal obviously and mainly in the late evening as with children the family has to be at home - it would have been better if the quality had been reasonable.

Very nice apartement, large, comfortable and central. Everything you need in it, even the decoration will make you feel you are in Scotland. Just know it's on the third floor and ther is no lift, but the reward is worth it. We were three couples and we all loved it.

3 days in Edinburgh

The apartment is roomy, nicely furnished and the kitchen was great. Easy access to transportation and close to coffee shops, restaurants, and a small grocery were pluses.

The 69 circular, concrete steps were a bit of an obstacle to some in our party, not to mention carrying suitcases up and down. Had I realized there was no lift, it would have been a game changer for us.

Decent stay for our 2 family's

Spacious flat and well equipped. Coffee machine was really good. Good for a large family. 2 bathrooms.

Steep dark steps. Some parts of the flat felt unfinished. Doors and windows need painting. Random wood left in the main bathroom.

After resolving the access problem, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the apartment.

Spacious rooms. Beautifully furnished

Could not access the property initially as the wrong keys had been left in the lock box. After numerous unanswered calls over the next hour, the owner got in touch and was able to resolve the situation by getting the cleaner to replace the keys

Gorgeous apartment in excellent location

Airy and light, spacious, generously furnished and well equipped. Very clean and good quality bed linen. Lots of Georgian features. The location is superb, walking distance to all the main sights and plenty of buses. Excellent restaurants nearby, especially recommend The Walnut.

Unfortunately there are no instructions on how to deal with recycling. Although beautifully furnished generally, the smallest bedroom was lacking in furniture and the wardrobe unusable due to the strong smell of mothballs.

The apartment was amazing. Very spacious and comfortable. Having a box of toys for little ones was such a nice touch too.

The only challenge was parking... There was only on street parking and you had to be lucky to get a space. When we first arrived we spent a while searching for nearby parking and then had to move the car after 4 hours

Beautiful apartment

Amazing apartment, beautiful furniture and very very clean just as is shown in the pictures. The kitchen is fully equipped you wouldn't need to bring anything but food with you

The only downside is no lift but thats my own fault as I did not read the description properly and 3 very steep flights of stairs was difficult with young children
