Great venue for an overnight stay

Rooms well appointed, clean and comfortable with great views! Location is perfect for anyone wanting to explore a couple of wineries in the area. Staff friendly and accommodating.

The room's "coffee station" only had 2 pods (1 cup per person), only sparkling water available in the fridge. The restuarant is beautiful with amazing evening views but the selection of meals available was rather disappointing.

Fabulous stay with great Spa on site, views are to die for

We really enjoyed our stay here, the apartment was huge, with a equally huge bathroom. Great views out over the grounds, we stayed at the end of winter, so I can imagine with the vines in full bloom it would be even more amazing. There is a small separate pool, which was a welcome addition. It's close enough to town to get a local cab/uber for dinner in town and you're spoilt for choice. We would definitely stay here again. We also has some amazing treatments at the Spa.

Clos Malverne is a wonderful choice of stay in the Stellenbosch winelands.

Clos Malverne staff add a real personal touch, friendly warm and welcoming. The rooms had a lovely view over the vineyards and farm dam, pretty, serene and well appointed. Restaurant and wine tasting with icecream unique and added to the experience.

Nice stay at a wine estate

Really nice place for a couple of days on a road trip when Stellenbosch fells like a must stop. We had three rooms booked and got them all together a bit from the main building - just perfect for us. Though the restaurant was not up and running for dinner, breakfast and late lunch was served and fully ok - though a nice dinner one of the night would have been one step up.

Comfortable Stay, But Lacked the Wine Estate Experience

The overall ambiance is pleasant and feels premium

We had a good stay at the wine estate—comfortable and well-maintained. However, it felt more like a standard hotel experience than what we expected from a stay on a wine estate. We were hoping for a more immersive vineyard experience—perhaps opportunities to explore the estate, learn about the winemaking process, or enjoy more local character. It’s a pleasant place to stay, but if you're looking for a true wine estate experience, it might fall short.

Peaceful and beautiful.

Staff were so friendly and really made our stay that much better, especially Debi, our wonderful host. Clos Malverne has amazing views, such a special place where you can either relax at the restaurant or stunning pool. I’ll be back!

Relaxing getaway!

Beautiful surroundings. Very comfortable and private suite. Beautiful walk through the vineyards to lovely breakfast in the restaurant. Debi, our host, was charming and helpful.

Great idea for a short Staycation

Ice cream and Wine tasting was out of this world, this was something new, strange but definitely worth the risk. The views were amazing Staff was very friendly The walks in the vineyard are peaceful

Comfortable, well-equipped room in a quiet area. Beautiful views from the swimming pool area.

It is a real pity that the rooms do not have a view of the stunning scenery (mountain ranges and vineyards) rather than looking out onto the driveway! The temporary restaurant closure - which was rather inconvenient - and the fact that the restaurant is typically closed on Mondays really should have been shared on booking sites so that potential guests are aware of the closure BEFORE making a reservation, rather than learning about it after a non-changeable booking had already been made and paid for.

The accommodation was superb but the stay was marred by the service and food at the restaurant

No Earl Grey or Breakfast tea. Only 1 cup of coffee. No refill offered. Breakfast itself was just adequate.

The dinner in the restaurant - such a shame as the previous year when we visited the lunch was excellent and the staff were so welcoming not so this year.

Perfect hideaway with good food in the vineyards close to main roads to explore the winelands.

The hospitality of the staff, the comfort of the rooms, spacious bathrooms and location. Personal check in with accommodation manner was most welcome. Michelle is great.

Breakfast choices were limited. Choices had to be made in advance. Was a little disappointing given the amazing restaurant menu. Restaurant front of house staff seemed to be rushing always.
