Good fabulous and wine tasting packages well run and great value for money!
The pool could have been a bit cleaner, perhaps a twice a day surface clean and better swimming pool hoover management?

We have been there before to have lunch
On arrival we were greeted by Debbie, lady manageress, who explained the details of pavilion we were to stay in
The meals are served in a restaurant of which one wall , glazed, gives a view of magnificent scenery
The staff are wonderful: friendly, professional and obliging
We loved it all and hope to return

We absolutely loved everything — from the beautiful layout and peaceful pool to the spa, incredible food, lovely wine, and the warm, friendly staff. The scenery was breathtaking, and every little detail made our stay feel truly special. Everything was just perfect.
The only thing we didn’t love is that it’s so far from where we live — otherwise, we would be visiting all the time and would happily become regulars.

Everything . In the middle of a vineyard. Away from everybody and everything. The views were stunning

the rooms were very clean and nicely furnished. our only negative comment is that the mattresses were a little hard.
spacious and clean bathroom with large walk-in shower. plastic glasses and swimming towels to use around the pool (lovely big pool). the views from the pool were amazing. all staff were very welcoming and helpful. the breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked.
unfortunately, as it was Monday, the restaurant and wine tasting was closed which was a shame...but we had a fabulous meal back in town and did wine tasting elsewhere.

Lovely accommodation with fabulous views. Swimming pool ideal after a hot day. Great breakfast and Debi very welcoming and helpful
We had children staying at same time who were noisy in pool - didn’t spoil stay but just to note could be kids there

So many things to like. The welcoming hospitality from our host Debi who created a welcoming experience making sure any needs were met the entire stay. If you are looking for a place with a special touch of family hospitality you will find it at Clos Malverne. Spectacular scenery, food and wine in a beautiful tranquil location.
It wasn’t long enough.

The house itself was big, well located to visit wine farms and has the most amazing view. The size was perfect for a family of 4. Breakfast is very good. The views are breathtaking.
Debi was great and her advice was very good
The house needed some fresh air when we arrived. After opening windows for the whole afternoon, it was better. The small windows seem typical of the region…

Nice spacious room, good service, good breakfast, friendly staff.
We enjoyed the the pool, it was quiet en there was no music at the pool. We like that.
More cleaning on the day of the pool. It gets dirty at the middle of the day with a lot of insects. The pump was not on I think.

Lovely room and very peaceful even though it’s only about 6 miles from the town centre and a cheap Uber that is easy to get. Had a lovely lunch before leaving. The communication from Debi was excellent and she let us know we could check in from 10 am which was really helpful and allowed us to stay until late afternoon as we were flying in the evening
The view from the restaurant is stunning!!
Nothing to dislike

Beautiful room and great position overlooking vineyards. Enjoyed the small pool.
Had to request better towels - room service not up to scratch. Only one coffee pod per person per day, at the price they could have been more generous.

Rooms well appointed, clean and comfortable with great views! Location is perfect for anyone wanting to explore a couple of wineries in the area. Staff friendly and accommodating.
The room's "coffee station" only had 2 pods (1 cup per person), only sparkling water available in the fridge. The restuarant is beautiful with amazing evening views but the selection of meals available was rather disappointing.

It was a real great position to look at all the rolling Hills and all the vineyards.
It was sometimes limited access to the restaurant at night

We really enjoyed our stay here, the apartment was huge, with a equally huge bathroom. Great views out over the grounds, we stayed at the end of winter, so I can imagine with the vines in full bloom it would be even more amazing. There is a small separate pool, which was a welcome addition. It's close enough to town to get a local cab/uber for dinner in town and you're spoilt for choice. We would definitely stay here again. We also has some amazing treatments at the Spa.

Clos Malverne staff add a real personal touch, friendly warm and welcoming. The rooms had a lovely view over the vineyards and farm dam, pretty, serene and well appointed. Restaurant and wine tasting with icecream unique and added to the experience.

Really nice place for a couple of days on a road trip when Stellenbosch fells like a must stop. We had three rooms booked and got them all together a bit from the main building - just perfect for us. Though the restaurant was not up and running for dinner, breakfast and late lunch was served and fully ok - though a nice dinner one of the night would have been one step up.
Nothing really

Beautiful
Breakfast good lunch bad. Bathroom needs better cleaning. Restaurant bathroom a disaster

The overall ambiance is pleasant and feels premium
We had a good stay at the wine estate—comfortable and well-maintained. However, it felt more like a standard hotel experience than what we expected from a stay on a wine estate. We were hoping for a more immersive vineyard experience—perhaps opportunities to explore the estate, learn about the winemaking process, or enjoy more local character. It’s a pleasant place to stay, but if you're looking for a true wine estate experience, it might fall short.

Ice cream and Wine tasting was out of this world, this was something new, strange but definitely worth the risk.
The views were amazing
Staff was very friendly
The walks in the vineyard are peaceful
Restaurant was not operational for dinner due to new management
No microwave provided
No iron provided
The website/page needs to be updated
6.0 / 10.0
tidy and spacious, however room for improvement with towels and a cleaner looking toilet
Inconvenient if you don’t have your own car, which I think should be mentioned or atleast the layout of the rooms to the restaurant to the gate should be known so that guests know what to expect.

10.0 / 10.0
The room was spacious and the bed was exceptionally comfortable.
Not the ideal location for someone who wants to explore the Stellenbosch town by foot, a car commute is necessary.
7.0 / 10.0
Comfortable, well-equipped room in a quiet area. Beautiful views from the swimming pool area.
It is a real pity that the rooms do not have a view of the stunning scenery (mountain ranges and vineyards) rather than looking out onto the driveway! The temporary restaurant closure - which was rather inconvenient - and the fact that the restaurant is typically closed on Mondays really should have been shared on booking sites so that potential guests are aware of the closure BEFORE making a reservation, rather than learning about it after a non-changeable booking had already been made and paid for.
10.0 / 10.0
No Earl Grey or Breakfast tea. Only 1 cup of coffee. No refill offered.
Breakfast itself was just adequate.
The dinner in the restaurant - such a shame as the previous year when we visited the lunch was excellent and the staff were so welcoming not so this year.

convenient location. the view of mountains
shower head spray above the rose. steel cupboard handle hitting the wall. bedside lamp switches not easy to find. 😉
